Mace⁽ⁱ⁾ ¹² On the first day of unleavened bread, when the paschal lamb is kill'd, his disciples said to him, where would you have us go and prepare for your eating the paschal lamb? ¹³ upon which he dispatch'd two of his disciples, and said to them: go into the city, and you will meet a man carrying a pitcher of water; follow him. ¹⁴ and wherever he enters, say to the master of the house: "thus saith our master; where is the chamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?" ¹⁵ and he will shew you a large upper room ready furnished: there make preparation for us. ¹⁶ his disciples therefore went away, and being come into the city, they found every thing, as he had told them; and they prepared the paschal lamb. ¹⁷ There he came in the evening with the twelve.
