25 Mattaniah, Bakbukiah, Obadiah, Meshullam, Talmon, and Akkub were porters in the watch at the thresholds of the gates.
26 These were in the time of Joiakim the son of Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and in the time of Nehemiah the captain and of the priest Ezra the scribe.
27 And in the dedication of the wall at Jerusalem, were the Levites sought out of all their places, that they might be brought to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication and gladness, with thanksgivings, with singing, with cymbals, Psalteries, and harps.
28 And the children of the singers gathered themselves together from the plain country about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi,
29 and from the house of Gilgal, and out of the fields of Geba and Azmaveth: for the singers had builded them villages about Jerusalem.
30 And the priests and Levites purified themselves, and cleansed the people, the gates and the wall.
31 And I caused the princes of Judah to go up upon the wall, and appointed two great choirs of thanksgiving, which went on the righthand of the wall toward the Dung gate,
32 and after them went Hoshaiah, and half of the princes of Judah,
33 and Azariah, Ezra, Meshullam,
