He made him ruler of all the countries of Babylon, and lord of all the nobles, that were at Babylon. ⁴⁹ Now Daniel intreated the king for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, so that he made them rulers over all the offices in the land of Babylon: But Daniel himself remained still in the court by the king.
