Matthew 6:5-8

MLV(i) 5 And whenever you pray, do not be just-like the hypocrites, because they love to pray, standing in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may appear devout to men. Assuredly I am say to you, that they are having their reward. 6 But you, whenever you pray, enter into your storeroom, and when you have locked your door, pray to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will be repaying you openly. 7 And while praying, do not be repetitious just-like the Gentile; for they think that they will be heard in their many words. 8 Therefore, do not be similar to them, for your Father knows what things you have need of before you ask him.
