21 But he rebuked and commanded them to tell this thing to no one,
22 saying, It is essential for the Son of Man to suffer many things, and to be rejected by the elders and high-priests and scribes, and to be killed and to rise in the third day.
23 Now he said to all, If anyone wishes to come after me, let him deny himself, and lift up his cross and follow me. 24 For whoever wishes to save his life will be losing it, but whoever loses his life because of me, this one will be saving it. 25 For what is a man profited, having gained the whole world, but has lost or forfeited himself?
