Luke 14:26-35

MLV(i) 26 If anyone comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters, and also, still his own life, he is not able to be my disciple. 27 And whoever does not bear his own cross, and comes after me, is not able to be my disciple.
28 For which out of you, wishing to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost, if he has the means toward its realization? 29 Lest, when he has laid a foundation and is not strong-enough to complete, all who view it may begin to mock him, 30 saying, This one began to build and was not strong-enough to complete.
31 Or what king, while traveling to encounter a different king in war, has not sit down first and plans if he is able at ten-thousand to encounter the one who is coming against him with twenty thousand? 32 Otherwise, having sent an ambassador, while still being faraway, he asks for the terms of peace. 33 Therefore, so everyone out of you who is not bidding farewell to all his own possessions, he is not able to be my disciple. 34 The salt is good, but if the salt is flavorless, in what shall it be seasoned? 35 It is fit neither for the soil nor for the manure-pile. Cast it outside. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.
