MLV(i)
And he went out, bearing his cross, to the place called, The Place of a Skull, which is called in Hebrew, Golgotha,
where they crucified him and two others with him, on this side and on that side and Jesus in the middle. 19 But Pilate also wrote a title and placed it upon the cross. Now it was written, Jesus the Nazarene, the King of the Jews. 20 Therefore, many of the Jews read this title, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, in Greek and in Latin.
Therefore, the high-priests of the Jews were saying to Pilate, Do not write, The King of the Jews, but, That man said, I am King of the Jews.
Pilate answered, I have written what I have written.
Therefore the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, a part to each soldier, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was seamless from the top, because it was entirely woven. 24 Therefore they said to one another, We should not split-apart this tunic, but should do a lot concerning it; whose it will be. This happened in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, ‘They divided my garments for themselves and they cast a lot upon my garment.’Therefore indeed, the soldiers did these things. 25 But, his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas and Mary the Magdalene stood beside the cross of Jesus.
Therefore, when Jesus saw his mother and the disciple, whom he loved, standing beside her, he says to his mother, Woman, behold your son! 27 Thereafter he says to the disciple, Behold, your mother! And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home.
