And yet he could not hide himself. ²⁵ For immediately a woman heard about him, whose daughter had an unclean spirit; and she came and fell at his feet. ²⁶ But the woman was a heathen, from Phoenicia in Syria; and she besought him to cast out the demon from her daughter. ²⁷ And Jesus said to her, Let the children be first filled; for it is not right to take the childrenÆs bread and throw it to the dogs. ²⁸ But she answered and said to him, Yes, my Lord; even the dogs eat the childrenÆs crumbs under the trays. ²⁹ Jesus said to her, Go your way; just because of this word, the demon has gone out of your daughter. ³⁰ So she went to her house, and found her daughter lying in bed, and the demon gone out of her. ³¹ Again Jesus went out from the border of Tyre and Sidon, and came to the sea of Galilee, to the border of the ten cities.
