2 Chronicles 6:7-9 Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

8 H3068 But the LORD H559 said [H8799] H1732 to David H1 my father H3824 , Forasmuch as it was in thine heart H1129 to build [H8800] H1004 an house H8034 for my name H2895 , thou didst well [H8689] H3824 in that it was in thine heart:

9 H7535 Notwithstanding H1129 thou shalt not build [H8799] H1004 the house H1121 ; but thy son H3318 which shall come forth [H8802] H2504 out of thy loins H1129 , he shall build [H8799] H1004 the house H8034 for my name.

ERV⁽ⁱ⁾ ⁷ Now it was in the heart of David my father to build an house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel. ⁸ But the LORD said unto David my father, Whereas it was in thine heart to build an house for my name, thou didst well that it was in thine heart: ⁹ nevertheless thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house for my name.
