A tender answer turns away fury; and contorting words ascend wrath.
The tongue of the wise well-pleases knowledge; and the mouth of fools gushes folly.
The eyes of Yah Veh are in every place, watching the evil and the good.
A healing tongue is a tree of life; and perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.
A fool scorns the discipline of his father; and he who regards reproof strategizes.
In the house of the just is much wealth; and in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
The lips of the wise winnow knowledge; and the heart of the foolish - not so.
The sacrifice of the wicked is an abhorrence to Yah Veh; and the prayer of the straight is his pleasure.
The way of the wicked is an abhorrence to Yah Veh; and he loves him who pursues justness.
Discipline is evil to him who forsakes the way; and he who hates reproof dies.
Sheol and abaddon are in front of Yah Veh; how much more then the hearts of the sons of humanity?
A scorner neither loves his reprover; nor goes to the wise.
A cheerful heart well-pleases the face; but contortion of the heart strikes the spirit.
The heart of the discerner seeks knowledge; and the face of fools befriends folly.
All the days of the afflicted are evil; and he of a merry heart has a continual banquet.
Better, little with the awe of Yah Veh than great treasure with confusion:
better, a ration of greens and love than a foddered ox and hatred.
A man of fury throttles strife; and he who is slow to wrath rests strife.
The way of the sloth is as a hedge of thorns; and the way of the straight is raised.
A wise son cheers a father; and a foolish human despises his mother.
Folly is cheerfulness to one lacking heart; and a man of discernment walks straightly.
Without private counsel fabrications are broken; and in the abundance of counsellors, they rise.
A man has cheerfulness by the answer of his mouth; and a word in time, how good!
The way of life to the comprehending is above, to turn aside from sheol below.
Yah Veh uproots the house of the pompous; and he stations the border of the widow.
The fabrications of evil are an abhorrence to Yah Veh; and the sayings of the pure are pleasant.
He who is greedy of greed troubles his own house; and he who hates gifts lives.
The heart of the just meditates to answer; and the mouth of the wicked gushes evil.
Yah Veh is far from the wicked; and he hears the prayer of the just.
The light of the eyes cheers the heart; and a good report fattens the bones.
The ear that hears the reproof of life stays among the wise:
he who avoids discipline spurns his own soul: and he who hears reproof gets heart.
The awe of Yah Veh is the discipline of wisdom; and at the face of honor is humility.
