IYOB ANSWERS
And Iyob answers and says, 2 Even today my meditation is rebellious - my hand heavier than my sighing. 3 Who gives that I know - that I find him - that I come to his place! 4 O that I line up my judgment at his face and fill my mouth with reproofs. 5 O that I know the utterances he answers me and discern what he says to me. 6 Contends he against me with his abundant force? No; but he sets it in me. 7 There the straight reprove him; and in perpetuity, I slip away from my judge. 8 Behold, I go eastward, and he is not; and backward, and I discern him not; 9 on the left where he works, and I see not; he shrouds himself on the right, and I see not. 10 For he knows my way; he proofs me; I come forth as gold. 11 My foot holds to his steps; I guard his way; and neither pervert 12 nor go back from the misvah of his lips: I treasure the sayings of his mouth more than my statutes. 13 And he is in one - and who can turn him? and what his soul desires, he works. 14 For he shalams my statute; and many such others with him. 15 So I terrify at his face; I discern; I dread him; 16 for El tenderizes my heart and Shadday terrifies me; 17 for I neither exterminate at the face of the darkness; nor covers he the darkness from my face.
