THE WORD OF YAH VEH CONCERNING THE EXILES
And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 2 Son of humanity, you settle midst a rebellious house, with eyes to see, and see not; ears to hear, and hear not; for they are a rebellious house: 3 and you, son of humanity, work instruments of exile: and exile by day in their eyes; and exile from your place to another place in their eyes: perhaps they see, for they are a rebellious house: 4 and bring forth your instruments by day in their eyes as instruments of exile: and go forth at evening in their eyes as proceeding into exile. 5 Dig through the wall in their eyes and carry out thereby: 6 in their eyes, bear it on your shoulders, and carry it forth in the dusk: and cover your face that you not see the earth: for I give you for an omen to the house of Yisra El. 7 And thus I work as I am misvahed: I bring my instruments by day, as instruments of exile, and in the evening I dig through the wall with my hand: I bring it forth in the dusk and I bear it on my shoulder in their eyes. 8 And so be the word of Yah Veh to me in the morning, saying, 9 Son of humanity, say they not to you, the house of Yisra El - this rebellious house, What work you? 10 You, say to them, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: This burden concerns the hierarch in Yeru Shalem and all the house of Yisra El among them. 11 Say, I am your omen; as I work, so be it worked to them: in exiling, they exile: 12 and the hierarch among them bears on his shoulder in the dusk, and goes forth: they dig through the wall to carry out thereby: he covers his face so that he sees not the earth with his eyes. 13 and I spread my net on him, and apprehend him in my lure: and I bring him to Babel to the land of the Kesediym; yet he sees it not, though he dies there: 14 and toward every wind I winnow all who are all around him to help him - and all his bands; and I draw out the sword after them: 15 and they know I - Yah Veh when I winnow them among the goyim and disperse them in the lands. 16 And I leave of them remaining from the sword from the famine and from the pestilence so that they scribe all their abhorrences among the goyim where they go; and they know I - Yah Veh. 17 And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 18 Son of humanity, eat your bread with quaking and drink your water with quivering and with concern 19 and say to the people of the land, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh of the settlers of Yeru Shalem, and of the soil of Yisra El: They eat their bread with concern and drink their water with astonishment that her land be desolate from the fulness thereof, because of the violence of all who settle therein. 20 And the settled cities parches and the land desolates; and you know I - Yah Veh. 21 And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 22 Son of humanity, what is that proverb of you in the soil of Yisra El, saying, The days prolong; and every vision destructs? 23 So tell them, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: I shabbathize this proverb that they no more proverbialize it as a proverb in Yisra El: but word to them, Days approach; and the word of every vision: 24 for there is neither any more a vain vision nor smoothing divination within the house of Yisra El. 25 For I - Yah Veh: I word; and the word I word works; it is no more drawn out: for in your days, O rebellious house, I word the word, and work it - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh. 26 And so be the word of Yah Veh to me, saying, 27 Son of humanity, behold, the house of Yisra El says, The vision he sees is for many days, and he prophesies of the times afar off. 28 So say to them, Thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Not one of my words is drawn out any more: and the word I word works - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh.
