Esther 1:2-9

ECB(i) 2 in those days, the sovereign Achash Rosh settles on the throne of his sovereigndom in Shushan palace; 3 in the third year of his reign, he works a banquet to all his governors and his servants; the virtuous of Persia and Maday, the nobles and governors of the jurisdictions at his face; 4 and he shows them the riches of the honor of his sovereigndom and the esteem of the adornment of his greatness many days - even a hundred and eighty days. 5 And in the fulfilling of these days the sovereign works a banquet to all the people found in Shushan palace both to great and small seven days in the court of the garden of the palace of the sovereign; 6 - white, byssus and blue held with cords of bleached cotton and purple to silver rings and pillars of white marble; the beds of gold and silver on a pavement of bright and white marble and pearl and black tile; 7 and they give them drink in instruments of gold - instruments differing from instruments and wine of the sovereigndom in abundance according to the hand of the sovereign. 8 And the drinking is according to the edict; no one insisting; for thus the sovereign founded to all the great of his house; to work according to the pleasure of man to man. 9 Also Vashti the sovereigness works a banquet for the women in the house of the sovereigndom of sovereign Achash Rosh.
