Ecclesiastes 11

ECB(i) 1 Send your bread on the face of the waters; for after abundant days, you find. 2 Give an allotment to seven and also to eight; for you know not what evil is on the earth. 3 If the thick clouds are full of downpour, they pour on the earth; and if the tree falls toward the south or toward the north, in the place the tree falls, so be it. 4 He who regards the wind, seeds not; and he who sees the thick clouds, harvests not. 5 As you know not the way of the wind/spirit, as bones in the belly of her that is full, even thus you know not the works of Elohim who works all. 6 In the morning, sow your seed; and in the evening, leave not your hand: for you know not which prospers - this or that; or whether they both be one good. 7 Truly the light is sweet and good for the eyes to see the sun; 8 but if a human lives and abounds in years and cheers in them all; yet he remembers the days of darkness - and so be it. All that comes is vanity. 9 Cheer, O youth, in your youth; that your heart better you in the days of your youth; walk in the ways of your heart and in the visage of your eyes; and know this: that for all these Elohim brings you into judgment. 10 Turn vexation from your heart and pass evil from your flesh; for childhood and dawn are vanity.
