ELI SHUA PROPHESIES FAMINE
And Eli Shua words to the woman whose son he enlivened, saying, Rise and go - you and your household and sojourn wherever you can sojourn: for Yah Veh called for a famine; and also it comes on the land seven years. 2 And the woman rises and works after the word of the man of Elohim: and she goes with her household and sojourns in the land of the Peleshethiy seven years. 3
THE LAND OF THE WOMAN RESTORED
And so be it, at the end of seven years, the woman returns from the land of the Peleshethiy: and goes to cry to the sovereign for her house and for her field. 4 And the sovereign words with Gay Chazi the lad of the man of Elohim, saying, Scribe me, I beseech, all the great that Eli Shua works. 5 And so be it, he scribes to the sovereign how he enlivened the dead, and behold, how the woman whose son he enlivened cries to the sovereign for her house and for her field. And Gay Chazi says, My adoni, O sovereign, this is the woman and this is her son, whom Eli Shua enlivened! 6 And the sovereign asks the woman, and she scribes to him. And the sovereign gives her one eunuch, saying, Restore all that is hers and all the produce of the field since the day she left the land, even until now. 7
ELI SHUA PROPHESIES EVIL
And Eli Shua comes to Dammeseq; and Ben Hadad the sovereign of Aram is sick; and they tell him, saying, The man of Elohim comes here. 8 And the sovereign says to Haza El, Take an offering in your hand and go meet the man of Elohim and enquire of Yah Veh by him, saying, Live I of this sickness? 9 And Haza El goes to meet him and takes an offering in his hand even of every good of Dammeseq - the burden of forty camels and comes and stands at his face and says, Your son Ben Hadad sovereign of Aram sends me to you, saying, Live I of this sickness? 10 And Eli Shua says to him, Go, say to him, In living, you live: howbeit Yah Veh shows me, that in dying, you die. 11 - and he stands and sets his face until he shames and the man of Elohim weeps. 12 And Haza El says, Why weeps my adoni? And he says, Because I know the evil you work to the sons of Yisra El: you send their fortresses on fire; and slaughter their youths with the sword; and splatter their sucklings and split open their conceivers. 13 And Haza El says, But what? Is your servant a dog, to work this great word? And Eli Shua says, Yah Veh shows me you as sovereign over Aram. 14 And he goes from Eli Shua and comes to his adoni; who says to him, What says Eli Shua to you? And he says, He says to me, In living, you live. 15 And so be it, on the morrow, he takes a net and dips it in water and spreads it on his face, so that he dies: and Haza El reigns in his stead. 16
YAH RAM REIGNS OVER YAH HUDAH
And in the fifth year of Yah Ram the son of Ach Ab sovereign of Yisra El, Yah Shaphat is sovereign of Yah Hudah; and Yah Ram the son of Yah Shaphat sovereign of Yah Hudah begins to reign 17 - a son of thirty-two years when he begins to reign; and he reigns eight years in Yeru Shalem: 18 and he walks in the way of the sovereigns of Yisra El as the house of Ach Ab worked: for the daughter of Ach Ab is his woman: and he works evil in the eyes of Yah Veh: 19 yet Yah Veh wills to not ruin Yah Hudah for sake of David his servant, as he said to him, to give him, a lamp to his sons all days. 20 In his days, Edom rebels from under the hand of Yah Hudah; and has a sovereign reign over them. 21 And Yah Ram passes over to Sair with all his chariots: and he rises by night and smites the Edomiy who surround him and the governors of the chariots: and the people flee to their tents: 22 and Edom rebels from under the hand of Yah Hudah to this day: and Libnah rebels at the same time. 23 And the rest of the words of Yah Ram and all he worked, are they not inscribed in the scroll of the words of the days of the sovereigns of Yah Hudah? 24 And Yah Ram lies down with his fathers - entombed with his fathers in the city of David: and Achaz Yah his son reigns in his stead. 25
ACHAZ YAH REIGNS OVER YAH HUDAH
In the twelfth year of Yah Ram the son of Ach Ab sovereign of Yisra El Achaz Yah the son of Yah Ram sovereign of Yah Hudah begins to reign. 26 Achaz Yah is a son of twenty-two years and he begins to reign; and he reigns one year in Yeru Shalem: and the name of his mother, Athal Yah the daughter of Omri sovereign of Yisra El. 27 And he walks in the way of the house of Ach Ab and works evil in the eyes of Yah Veh as the house of Ach Ab: for he is the son in law of the house of Ach Ab. 28 And he goes to the war with Yah Ram the son of Ach Ab against Haza El sovereign of Aram in Ramoth Gilad; and the Aramiy smite Yah Ram: 29 and sovereign Yah Ram returns to Yizre El to heal from the strokes the Aramiy smote at Ramah when he fought against Haza El sovereign of Aram: and Achaz Yah the son of Yah Ram sovereign of Yah Hudah descends to Yizre El to see Yah Ram the son of Ach Ab because he is sick.
