Mark 2:1-12

BLB(i) 1 And He having entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that He is in the house. 2 And many were gathered together, so as to have no more space, not even at the door. And He was speaking the word to them. 3 And they come, bringing to Him a paralytic, being carried by four. 4 And not being able to come near to Him on account of the crowd, they removed the roof where He was, and having broken it up, they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. 5 And Jesus, having seen their faith, says to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.” 6 And some of the scribes were sitting there and reasoning in their hearts, 7 “Why does this man speak thus? He blasphemes! Who is able to forgive sins, except God alone?” 8 And immediately Jesus, having known in His spirit that they are reasoning thus within themselves, says to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts? 9 Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your mat, and walk’? 10 But that you might know that the Son of Man has authority to forgive sins on the earth...” He says to the paralytic, 11 “I say to you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your home.” 12 And he arose, and immediately, having taken up the mat, he went forth before all, so as for all to be amazed and to glorify God, saying, “Never did we see thus.”
