3 Καὶ (And) ὅτε (when) ἤνοιξεν (He opened) τὴν (the) σφραγῖδα (seal) τὴν (-) δευτέραν (second), ἤκουσα (I heard) τοῦ (the) δευτέρου (second) ζῴου (living creature) λέγοντος (saying), “Ἔρχου (Come)!”
4 Καὶ (And) ἐξῆλθεν (went forth) ἄλλος (another) ἵππος (horse) πυρρός (bright red); καὶ (and) τῷ (to the one) καθημένῳ (sitting) ἐπ’ (on) αὐτὸν (it) ἐδόθη (was granted) αὐτῷ (to him) λαβεῖν (to take) τὴν (the) εἰρήνην (peace) ἐκ (from) τῆς (the) γῆς (earth), καὶ (and) ἵνα (that) ἀλλήλους (one another) σφάξουσιν (they will slay); καὶ (and) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτῷ (to him) μάχαιρα (a sword) μεγάλη (great).
5 Καὶ (And) ὅτε (when) ἤνοιξεν (He opened) τὴν (the) σφραγῖδα (seal) τὴν (-) τρίτην (third), ἤκουσα (I heard) τοῦ (the) τρίτου (third) ζῴου (living creature) λέγοντος (saying), “Ἔρχου (Come)!” Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), ἵππος (a horse) μέλας (black), καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) καθήμενος (sitting) ἐπ’ (on) αὐτὸν (it) ἔχων (having) ζυγὸν (a pair of scales) ἐν (in) τῇ (the) χειρὶ (hand) αὐτοῦ (of him).
6 καὶ (And) ἤκουσα (I heard) ὡς (something like) φωνὴν (a voice) ἐν (in) μέσῳ (the midst) τῶν (of the) τεσσάρων (four) ζῴων (living creatures), λέγουσαν (saying), “Χοῖνιξ (A choenix) σίτου (of wheat) δηναρίου (for a denarius), καὶ (and) τρεῖς (three) χοίνικες (choenixes) κριθῶν (of barley) δηναρίου (for a denarius); καὶ (and) τὸ (the) ἔλαιον (oil) καὶ (and) τὸν (the) οἶνον (wine) μὴ (not) ἀδικήσῃς (you should injure).”
7 Καὶ (And) ὅτε (when) ἤνοιξεν (He opened) τὴν (the) σφραγῖδα (seal) τὴν (-) τετάρτην (fourth), ἤκουσα (I heard) φωνὴν (the voice) τοῦ (of the) τετάρτου (fourth) ζῴου (living creature) λέγοντος (saying), “Ἔρχου (Come)!”
8 Καὶ (And) εἶδον (I looked), καὶ (and) ἰδοὺ (behold), ἵππος (a horse) χλωρός (pale), καὶ (and) ὁ (the one) καθήμενος (sitting) ἐπάνω (on) αὐτοῦ (it), ὄνομα (the name) αὐτῷ (of him was) Ὁ (-) Θάνατος (Death), καὶ (and) ὁ (-) ᾅδης (Hades) ἠκολούθει (was following) μετ’ (with) αὐτοῦ (him); καὶ (and) ἐδόθη (was given) αὐτοῖς (to them) ἐξουσία (authority) ἐπὶ (over) τὸ (the) τέταρτον (fourth) τῆς (of the) γῆς (earth), ἀποκτεῖναι (to kill) ἐν (with) ῥομφαίᾳ (sword), καὶ (and) ἐν (with) λιμῷ (famine), καὶ (and) ἐν (with) θανάτῳ (plague), καὶ (and) ὑπὸ (by) τῶν (the) θηρίων (beasts) τῆς (of the) γῆς (earth).
