But he replied: Lord, permit me first to go and bury my father. ⁶⁰ Jesus said: Let the dead bury their own dead; but do you go and publish abroad the kingdom of God. ⁶¹ And another said: I will follow thee, Lord; but first permit me to take leave of those at home. ⁶² Jesus said to him: No one that puts his hand to the plow, and looks back, is fit for the kingdom of God.
