5 And Jesus said to His disciples, “Suppose one of you who has a friend would go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘ [Please] lend me three loaves of bread,
6 for a friend of mine has come to [visit] me while on a trip and I do not have anything to feed him?’
7 Then the man will answer from inside [his house], ‘Do not bother me. My door is [already] locked, my children are [already] in bed with me and I cannot get up to give you anything.’
8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give him something because he is a friend, yet because of his friend’s persistence, he will [eventually] get up and give him whatever he needs.
