Romans 9:30-32 What then shall we say? That Gentiles, who were not following after righteousness, obtained righteousness, the righteousness which is of faith;

That Gentiles, who were not following after righteousness, obtained righteousness, the righteousness which is of faith; ³¹ but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, attained not to [such] a law. ³² Wherefore? Because [they sought it] not by faith, but as being by works of law. For they stumbled against the stone of stumbling;
