Luke 7:11-17

Thomson(i) 11 And on the day following, he went to a city called Nain, accompanied by many of his disciples, and a great crowd. 12 And as he approached the gate of the city, behold the people were carrying out a dead man to be buried; the only son of his mother, and she was a widow. And there was a great multitude of the city with her. 13 And when the Lord beheld her, he had compassion on her, and said to her, Weep not. 14 Then he advanced and touched the bier, [now the bearers had stopped] and he said, Young man, I say to thee, Arise. 15 Thereupon he who had been dead, sat up and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother. 16 And a dread fell upon all; and they glorified God, saying, A great prophet is risen up among us, and God hath visited his people. 17 And his fame spread through all Judea and through all the neighbouring country.
