17 And while going up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the twelve disciples privately by the road and he said to them,
18 Behold, we go into Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be given up to the high-priests and scribes, and they will be condemning him to death,
19 and they will be giving him to the Gentiles, that they should mock and scourge and crucify him, and in the third day he will rise again.
20 Then the mother of the sons of Zebedee, with her sons, came to him, worshiping him, and asking something from him. 21 But he said to her, What do you wish?
She says to him, Say that these, my two sons, may sit, one at your right hand and one at your left hand in your kingdom.
22 But Jesus answered and said, You do not know what you ask. Are you able to drink the cup which I am about to drink, or to be immersed with the immersion to which I am about to be immersed?
They say to him, We are able.
