17 H6817 [H8804] The righteous shriek, H3068 and the LORD H8085 [H8804] heareth, H5337 [H8689] and delivereth H6869 them out of all their straits.

18 H3068 The LORD H7138 is near H7665 [H8737] to them that are of a broken H3820 heart; H3467 [H8686] and liberateth H1793 such as are of a contrite H7307 spirit.

19 H7227 Many H7451 are the afflictions H6662 of the righteous: H3068 but the LORD H5337 [H8686] delivereth him out of them all.

The righteous.There is no word for the righteous in the present Hebrew text; but it is preserved in all the versions; and it was probably lost from its similitude to {tz\u65533 \u65533 koo,} "they cry:"--{tz\u65533 \u65533 koo tazddeekim,} "the righteous cry."
