³⁷ for as the days of Noah were, so shall be also the coming of the Son of man;

³⁹ and knew not of it till the deluge came and took them all away; so shall be also the coming of the Son of man.

²⁶ And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. ²⁷ They were eating, drinking, marrying, and being married, till the day that Noah went into the ark: and the flood came and destroyed them all.

⁷ By faith Noah being warned by God of things which were not yet seen, moved with pious fear, prepared an ark for the safety of his family; whereby he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

²⁰ who of old were disobedient, when the long-suffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was preparing; wherein a few, that is eight souls, were saved by water. ²¹ The resemblance of which, even baptism, doth also now save us, (not the outward cleansing of filth from the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience towards God) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
