⁵¹ And when He came to the house, He suffered none to go in but Peter, and James, and John, and the father and mother of the child.

⁵ And when thou prayest, be not like the hypocrites; for they love to pray in public assemblies, and in the corners of the streets, that they may be taken notice of by men. Verily I say unto you, they have their reward. ⁶ But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father who seeth in secret, will reward thee openly.

³⁷ and He suffered none to go along with Him, but Peter, and James, and John the brother of James. ³⁸ And He cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth a tumult, people weeping and lamenting greatly: ³⁹ and when He was come in, He saith unto them, Why do ye take on thus and weep? the child is not dead, but asleep. ⁴⁰ And they laughed at Him: but when He had turned them all out, He taketh the father, and the mother of the child, and those three that were with Him, and goes in where the child was laid:

³³ And He taketh Peter and James and John with Him, and He began to be overwhelmed with terror and anguish.
