Luke 22 Cross References - Worsley

1 Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the passover. 2 And the chief priests and scribes were consulting how they might put Him to death; for they were afraid of the people. 3 Then entred Satan into Judas who was surnamed Iscariot, one of the twelve. 4 And he went and conferred with the chief priests and the captains, how he might betray Him unto them. 5 And they were glad and agreed to give him money: 6 and he accepted the terms, and sought an opportunity to betray Him unto them in the absence of the multitude. 7 The day of unleavened bread being come, on which the paschal-lamb was to be slain, 8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare the passover for us, that we may eat of it. 9 And they said unto Him, Where wouldst thou have us prepare it? 10 And He said unto them, Behold, when ye are come into the city, there shall meet you a man, carrying a pitcher of water, follow him into the house where he entreth: 11 and say to the master of the house, Our Master inquireth by us, Where is the room, in which I may eat the passover with my disciples? 12 And he will shew you a large upper room set out; there make it ready. 13 And they went and found as He had told them; and prepared the passover. 14 And when the hour was come, He sat down and the twelve apostles with Him. 15 And He said unto them, I have earnestly desired to eat of this passover with you before I suffer: 16 for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God. 17 And taking the cup He gave thanks and said, Take this and distribute it among yourselves. 18 For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me: 20 as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you. 21 And yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is at table with me: 22 and the Son of man is going indeed as was determined; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed. 23 And they began to enquire among themselves, which of them it was that should do it. 24 And there was also a dispute among them, which of them should be accounted the greatest: 25 but He said unto them, The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority are called benefactors. 26 But ye shall not do so: but let the greatest among you be as the younger; and he that presides as he that serveth. 27 For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? is not he that sitteth at table? but I am among you as one that serveth. 28 Ye have continued with me in my temptations; 29 and I appoint you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me: 30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you my disciples, that he may sift you as wheat: 32 but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death. 34 But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me. 35 And He said unto them, When I sent you forth without purse, or bag, or shoes, did ye want any thing? and they said, Nothing. 36 Then said He unto them, But now let him, that hath a purse, take it, and his bag likewise; and let him that has no sword, sell his garment and buy one: 37 for I tell you, that this which is written must yet be accomplished in me, "And He was numbered with transgressors," for the things foretold concerning me are near at an end. 38 And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough. 39 And He came out and went, as He used to do, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed Him. 40 And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation. 41 And when He was withdrawn from them about a stone's-cast, He kneeled down and prayed saying, 42 Father, if thou art willing take away this cup from me---nevertheless, not my will but thine be done. 43 And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven strengthening Him. 44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was like clotted blood falling down upon the ground. 45 And when He rose up from prayer, He came to his disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow; 46 and He said to them, Why do ye sleep? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation. 47 And while He was yet speaking, behold a multitude; and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, came before them, and drew near unto Jesus to kiss Him: 48 and Jesus said to him, Judas, betrayest thou the Son of man with a kiss? 49 But when they that were about Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword? 50 And one of them smote the high priest's servant and cut off his right ear: 51 but Jesus said, Suffer ye thus far; and He touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then said Jesus to the chief priests, and officers of the temple, and elders, that were come to Him, Are ye come out as against a robber with swords and clubs? 53 When I was day after day with you in the temple, ye did not stretch out your hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness. 54 Then they took Him and led Him away, and brought Him to the high priest's. And Peter followed at a distance. 55 And when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the hall, and sat down together, Peter also sat down among them: 56 and a servant-maid seeing him as he sat by the fire, and looking hard at him, said, This fellow was also with Him: 57 But he denied Him, saying, Woman, I do not know Him. 58 And after a little while another person seeing him said, And thou art one of them: but Peter said, Man, I am not. 59 And about an hour after, another confidently affirmed saying, In truth this fellow also was with Him; for he is a Galilean too: but Peter answered, 60 Man, I know not what thou sayst. And immediately, while he was yet speaking, the cock crew. 61 And the Lord turned and looked upon Peter; and Peter called to mind the word of the Lord, how He had said to him, Before the cock crow thou wilt deny me thrice. 62 And Peter went out and wept bitterly. 63 And the men that laid hold on Jesus, insulted and abused Him; 64 and when they had blind-folded Him, they struck Him on the face, and asked Him, saying, Prophesy who it was that smote thee. 65 And many other things spake they against Him, blaspheming Him. 66 And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people, and chief-priests, and scribes, assembled together, and ordered Him up into their council: 67 and said to Him, Art thou the Messiah? tell us. And He said unto them, If I should tell you, ye would not believe: 68 and if I should put any question to you, ye would not answer me, nor discharge me. 69 But hereafter shall the Son of man be seated on the right hand of the power of God. 70 And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God? 71 And He said unto them, I am. And they said, What need have we of any farther evidence? when we ourselves have it from his own mouth?

16 for I say unto you, that I will not eat of it any more, till it be accomplished in the kingdom of God. 17 And taking the cup He gave thanks and said, Take this and distribute it among yourselves.

Luke 22:18-20

18 For I tell you, that I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine, till the kingdom of God shall come. 19 And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me:

Luke 22:19-20

19 And He took bread, and gave thanks and brake it, and gave it to them, saying, This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me: 20 as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you.

Luke 22:20-20

20 as also the cup after supper, saying, This cup represents the new covenant in my blood, which is shed for you. 21 And yet behold, the hand of him that betrayeth me is at table with me: 22 and the Son of man is going indeed as was determined; but wo to that man by whom He is betrayed.

30 that ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit upon thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

Luke 22:32

32 but I have prayed for thee, that thy faith may not fail; and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. 33 And he said unto Him, Lord, I am ready to go with thee both to prison and to death. 34 But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.

Luke 22:34

34 But He replied, I tell thee, Peter, the cock shall not crow this day, before thou hast thrice denied that thou knowest me.

Luke 22:38

38 And they said, Lord, behold here are two swords. And He said unto them, It is enough.

Luke 22:40

40 And when He was at the place, He said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.

44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was like clotted blood falling down upon the ground.

Luke 22:46

46 and He said to them, Why do ye sleep? rise and pray, that ye enter not into temptation.

Luke 22:49

49 But when they that were about Him saw what would follow, they said to Him, Lord, shall we smite with the sword?

32 And there were also two other malefactors led with Him to be put to death.

Luke 24:25-27

25 And He said unto them, O people void of understanding and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken. 26 Was not the Messiah to suffer these things, and so to enter into his glory? 27 And beginning from Moses, and all the prophets, He explained to them in all the scriptures the things that were spoken concerning Himself.

Luke 24:30

30 And as He sat at table with them, He took bread and blessed it, and then brake it and gave to them.

Luke 24:44-46

44 And He said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all the things must be fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and Psalms, concerning me. 45 Then He opened their mind, to understand the scriptures: 46 and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day;

Luke 24:46-46

46 and said unto them, thus it is written, and thus it was necessary that the Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead on the third day;

5 His mother saith to the servants, Whatsoever he ordereth you to do, do it.

John 2:25

25 for He knew all men, and He had no need that any should testify concerning man; for He knew what was in man.

John 4:34

34 Jesus saith unto them, My food is to do the will of Him that sent me, and to finish his work.

John 5:30

30 I can do nothing of my self: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not my own will, but the will of the Father that hath sent me.

John 5:39-47

39 Ye search the scriptures; for ye think that in them ye have eternal life: 40 and they testify of me: and yet ye will not come to me, that ye may have life. 41 Though I desire not applause from men: 42 but I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. 43 I am come in my Father's name, and ye receive me not: if another should come in his own name, him ye will receive. 44 How can ye believe, who receive applause from each other, and the glory which is from God only, ye seek not? 45 Think not that I shall accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuseth you, even Moses, in whom ye trust. 46 For if ye believed Moses, ye would believe me; for he wrote concerning me: 47 but if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?

John 6:23

23 though there came other vessels from Tiberias, near the place where they had eaten bread after the Lord had given thanks: when therefore the people saw that Jesus was not there,

John 6:27

27 Labour not so much for the meat that perisheth, but rather for that food which endureth unto life eternal, which the Son of man will give you: for Him hath God the Father sealed.

John 6:38

38 For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of Him that sent me.

John 6:50-58

50 that any one may eat thereof and not die. 51 I am the living bread, which came down from heaven: if any one eat of this bread, he shall live for ever. And the bread, that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give up for the life of the world.

John 6:51

51 I am the living bread, which came down from heaven: if any one eat of this bread, he shall live for ever. And the bread, that I will give, is my flesh, which I will give up for the life of the world. 52 The Jews therefore cavilled amongst themselves, saying, How can this man give us his flesh to eat? 53 Then said Jesus unto them, I tell you truly, that unless ye eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, ye have no life in you. 54 He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For my flesh is truly food, and my blood is truly drink: he that feedeth on my flesh and drinketh my blood, 56 abideth in me and I in him. 57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father; so he that feedeth on me he also shall live by me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat, and yet are dead. He that eateth this bread shall live for ever.

John 6:67-68

67 Jesus therefore said to the twelve, Have ye also a mind to go away? 68 Then Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go?

John 6:70-71

70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil? 71 Now He spake of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon; for he was about to betray Him, though he was one of the twelve apostles.

John 7:25-26

25 Therefore some of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this He whom they seek to put to death? 26 and here He talketh openly, and they say nothing to Him: Do the rulers indeed know, that this is in truth the Messiah?

John 7:30

30 They sought therefore to seize Him, but no one laid hand on Him, because his hour was not yet come.

John 7:45

45 Then came the officers to the chief priests and pharisees, and they said, Why have ye not brought Him? and the officers answered,

John 8:31

31 Therefore said Jesus to the Jews that believed on Him, If ye continue in my word, ye are indeed my disciples.

John 8:43-45

43 And why do ye not understand my language, but because ye cannot bear my doctrine? 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and are bent upon doing the lusts of your father: he was a murderer from the beginning, and continued not in the truth: for there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh like himself, for he is a liar, and the father of such. 45 And because I say the truth, ye believe me not. Which of you convicteth me of sin?

John 9:27-28

27 He answered them, I have told you already, and ye would not hear? why would ye now hear it again? have ye also a mind to be his disciples? 28 Then they reviled him, and said, Thou art his disciple, but we are the disciples of Moses: we know that God spake to Moses:

John 10:24-26

24 Then the Jews came round Him, and said unto Him, How long dost thou hold us in suspense? If thou be the Messiah, tell us plainly. 25 Jesus answered them, I have told you, and ye do not believe me: though the works that I do in the name of my Father, testify of me. 26 But ye believe not; because ye are not of my sheep: for as I said unto you, my sheep hear my voice,

John 10:30

30 I and the Father are one. Then the Jews again took up stones to stone Him.

John 10:35

35 And if it stiled them gods, to whom the word of God came, (and the scripture cannot be made void,) 36 do ye say of Him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, thou blasphemest, because I said, I am the Son of God?

John 11:28

28 And when she had said this, she went away, and called Mary her sister, telling her privately, The Master is coming and calleth for thee.

John 11:40

40 Jesus saith unto her, Did I not tell thee, that if thou believest, thou shalt see the glory of God?

John 11:47-53

47 Therefore the chief priests and the pharisees held a council and said, What are we doing? for this man worketh many miracles. 48 If we suffer Him to go on thus, all the people will believe on Him, and the Romans will come and destroy both our place and nation. 49 But Caiaphas who was one of them, being high-priest that year, said unto them, Ye know nothing at all; 50 nor do ye consider, that it is better for us that one man should die for the people, than that the whole nation should perish. 51 This however he spake not of himself, but being high-priest at that time he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation: 52 and not for the Jewish nation only, but that he might also gather together the children of God that are dispersed. 53 From that day therefore they consulted together to put Him to death.

John 11:55-57

55 Now the passover of the Jews was near; and many went up to Jerusalem out of the country, before the passover, to purify themselves. 56 So they sought for Jesus, and said to one another in the temple, What think ye? that He will not come to the feast? 57 Now both the chief priests and the pharisees had given order, that if any one knew where He was, he should inform them, that they might take Him.

John 11:57

57 Now both the chief priests and the pharisees had given order, that if any one knew where He was, he should inform them, that they might take Him.

John 12:6

6 He said this, not that he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the common purse he carried what was put into it.

John 12:27-28

27 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I to this hour.

John 12:27

27 Now is my soul troubled, and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I to this hour. 28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.

John 12:37-43

37 But though He had done so many miracles before their eyes, yet they did not believe on Him: 38 so that the word of Esaias the prophet was fulfilled, which he spake, saying, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed? 39 And therefore they could not believe; for Esaias had also said, 40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart, that they might not see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them. 41 These things said Esaias when he saw his glory, and spake concerning Him. 42 There were however many of the chief rulers that believed on Him; but because of the pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be excommunicated. 43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

John 13:1

1 Now before the feast of the passover, (Jesus knowing that his hour was come, when He should pass out of this world unto the Father, as He had loved his own, who were yet in the world, He loved them unto the end:) 2 supper being prepared, (the devil having put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, to betray Him) Jesus,

John 13:5-16

5 and then pouring water into a bason, began to wash the feet of his disciples, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith He was girded. 6 He cometh therefore to Simon Peter among the rest, who saith unto Him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet? 7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou dost not now understand, but thou shalt know hereafter. 8 Peter saith to Him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash thee, thou hast no part with me. 9 Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head. 10 Jesus saith to him, He that hath been bathing, hath need only to wash his feet, being then clean all over: and thus ye are clean, but not all of you. 11 For He knew who would betray Him; therefore He said, Ye are not all clean. 12 And when He had washed their feet, and taken his clothes about Him, He sat down again, and said to them, Do ye know the intent of what I have been doing to you? 13 Ye call me, Master, and Lord; and ye say well; for so I am. 14 If I then your Lord and Master have washed your feet, ye also ought to wash one another's feet. 15 For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you. 16 Verily, verily I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord, nor is the messenger greater than he that sent him.

John 13:18

18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but have done it that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me.

John 13:18-19

18 I speak not of you all; I know whom I have chosen: but have done it that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me, hath lift up his heel against me. 19 And I tell you now, before it come, that when it comes to pass ye may believe that I am the Messiah.

John 13:21-22

21 Jesus having said these things was troubled in spirit, and He openly testified and said, Verily, verily I tell you, that one of you will betray me. 22 The disciples therefore looked on one another, doubting of whom He spake.

John 13:22-25

22 The disciples therefore looked on one another, doubting of whom He spake. 23 Now there was one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, sitting next Him. 24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him to ask, who it was concerning whom He spake. 25 And he, reclining on the breast of Jesus, saith unto Him, Lord, who is it? 26 Jesus answered, It is he to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it: and He dipped in a sop and gave it to Judas the Iscariot the son of Simon.

John 13:26

26 Jesus answered, It is he to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it: and He dipped in a sop and gave it to Judas the Iscariot the son of Simon. 27 And after the sop Satan entred into him. Then Jesus saith unto him, What thou dost, do quickly.

John 13:36-37

36 Simon Peter saith unto Him, Lord, whither art thou going? Jesus answered him, Whither I am going thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me hereafter. 37 Peter saith unto Him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thee. 38 Jesus answered him, Wilt thou lay down thy life for my sake? Verily verily I tell thee, The cock shall not crow till thou hast denied me thrice.

John 14:19

19 Yet a little while, and the world shall see me no more; but ye shall see me: and because I live, ye shall live also.

John 14:30

30 I shall not have much more conversation with you: for the prince of this world is coming; not that he hath any thing in me,

John 15:20

20 Remember what I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my word, they will also observe yours.

John 16:4

4 But I have told you these things, that when the time cometh, ye may remember that I told you of them. Though I did not tell you of them at the beginning, because I was with you.

John 16:20-22

20 Verily I tell you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. 21 A woman when she is in labor, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she is delivered of the child, she thinks no more of the anguish, for joy, that a man is born into the world. 22 And ye therefore now have sorrow; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy shall no one take from you.

John 16:33

33 These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have trouble: but be of good courage, I have overcome the world.

John 17:1

1 When Jesus had spoken these words, He lifted up his eyes to heaven and said,--- "Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify Thee:

John 17:4

4 I have glorified Thee on earth, I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do:

John 17:9-11

9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom Thou hast given me, for they are thine. 10 And all my concerns are thine, and thine are mine: and I am therefore glorified in them. 11 And as I am to be no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to Thee, Holy Father, keep by thy name those whom Thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name; I have preserved those whom Thou gavest me, and none of them is lost; except the son of perdition, that the scripture might be fulfilled.

John 17:15-21

15 I do not pray that Thou wouldest take them out of the world, but that thou wouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them by thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As Thou hast sent me into the world, so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also may be sanctified through the truth. 20 Nor do I pray for these only, but for them also that shall believe on me through their word. 21 That they all may be one, as Thou, O Father, art in me, and I in Thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

John 18:1-2

1 When Jesus had spoken these words, He went out with his disciples over the brook Kedron; where there was a garden, into which He entred, and his disciples. Now Judas who was gone to betray Him, 2 knew the place: for Jesus often met there together with his disciples: Judas therefore having got a band of soldiers,

John 18:2-11

2 knew the place: for Jesus often met there together with his disciples: Judas therefore having got a band of soldiers, 3 and officers from the chief priests and pharisees, cometh thither with candles, and lamps, and arms. 4 Upon which Jesus, who knew all that was coming upon Him, went forth and said unto them, Whom do ye seek? They answered Him, Jesus the Nazarene. 5 Jesus saith unto them, I am He. And Judas that betrayed Him, was standing with them. 6 Now as soon as He said unto them, I am He, they went backwards and fell to the ground. 7 Then He asked them again, Whom do ye seek? 8 And they said, Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am He: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way:

John 18:8-9

8 And they said, Jesus the Nazarene. Jesus answered, I have told you that I am He: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 9 That the word might be fulfilled which He had spoken, "Of those, whom Thou hast given me, I have lost none."

John 18:9-9

9 That the word might be fulfilled which He had spoken, "Of those, whom Thou hast given me, I have lost none." 10 Then Simon Peter, having a sword, drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 11 But Jesus said to Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it?

John 18:11-11

11 But Jesus said to Peter, Put up thy sword into the sheath: the cup which my Father hath given me, shall I not drink it? 12 So the band with the captain, and the officers of the Jews seized Jesus, and bound Him: 13 and led Him away to Annas first: (for he was father-in-law to Caiaphas, who was high-priest that year:) (18:24) and Annas sent Him bound to Caiaphas the high-priest. 14 Now Caiaphas was he who had said in council to the Jews, that it was expedient that one man should die for the people. 15 And Simon Peter and another disciple followed Jesus. And that other disciple being known to the high priest went in with Jesus into the high-priest's hall. 16 But Peter stood at the door without: the other disciple therefore, who was known to the high-priest, went out and spake to her that kept the door, and brought Peter in.

John 18:16-18

16 But Peter stood at the door without: the other disciple therefore, who was known to the high-priest, went out and spake to her that kept the door, and brought Peter in. 17 Then saith the maid, that kept the door, to Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? and he said, I am not.

John 18:17-18

17 Then saith the maid, that kept the door, to Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? and he said, I am not.

John 18:17

17 Then saith the maid, that kept the door, to Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? and he said, I am not. 18 And the servants and officers stood there, having made a fire of coals, for it was cold, and were warming themselves: and Peter was standing with them and warming himself.

John 18:22

22 And upon his saying these things, one of the officers that stood by struck Jesus, saying, Dost thou answer the high-priest thus?

John 18:24

24 [See verse 24 between verse 13 and 14.] 25 And Simon Peter stood warming himself: and they said to him, Art not thou one of his disciples? and he denied it, and said, I am not.

John 18:25

25 And Simon Peter stood warming himself: and they said to him, Art not thou one of his disciples? and he denied it, and said, I am not. 26 Then said one of the servants of the high-priest, kinsman to him whose ear Peter cut off, Did not I see thee in the garden with Him? 27 Peter then denied it again, and immediately the cock crew.

John 18:27-27

27 Peter then denied it again, and immediately the cock crew. 28 Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the pretorium: (now it was morning) and they themselves went not in to the court, least they should be defiled, and so might not eat of the passover.

John 18:36

36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom were of this world, my servants would have fought, that I might not have been delivered to the Jews: but my kingdom is not from hence. 37 Pilate therefore said unto Him, Art thou then a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayest right, I am a king. For this end was I born, and for this came I into the world, even that I might bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth, heareth my voice.

John 19:7

7 The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law He ought to die, because He made himself the Son of God.

John 19:28-30

28 After this Jesus knowing that all things were now finished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel there full of vinegar: so they filled a spunge with the vinegar, and putting it upon hyssop, held it up to his mouth. 30 And when Jesus had received the vinegar, He said, It is finished. And reclining his head, He yielded up the ghost.

John 21:15-17

15 Now when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me more than these? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. 16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? He saith unto Him, Yes, Lord, Thou knowest that I love Thee. 17 He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? Peter was grieved, that He said to him the third time, Dost thou love me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things, Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

John 21:17-17

17 He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. He saith unto him the third time, Simon son of Jonas, dost thou love me? Peter was grieved, that He said to him the third time, Dost thou love me? And he said unto Him, Lord, Thou knowest all things, Thou knowest that I love Thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Acts 1:13

13 And when they were come in to the city, they went up into an upper room, where Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon the zealot, and Jude the brother of James, usually abode.

Acts 1:16-25

16 and said, Men and brethren, it was necessary that this scripture should be fulfilled, which the holy Ghost spake by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was guide to them that apprehended Jesus:

Acts 1:16-18

16 and said, Men and brethren, it was necessary that this scripture should be fulfilled, which the holy Ghost spake by the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who was guide to them that apprehended Jesus: 17 for he was numbered with us, and had obtained a part of this ministry.

Acts 1:17-18

17 for he was numbered with us, and had obtained a part of this ministry. 18 (Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling down on his face, burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out:

Acts 1:18-18

18 (Now this man purchased a field with the reward of iniquity; and falling down on his face, burst asunder in the middle, and all his bowels gushed out: 19 (and it was known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the field is called in their own dialect, Aceldama, that is, the field of blood:) 20 for it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let none dwell in it; and again, Let another take his office.) 21 Wherefore it is necessary that one of these men, who have been conversant with us all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and out among us, 22 from the baptism of John, till the day that He was taken up from us, should be joined with us as a witness of his resurrection. 23 And they proposed two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. 24 And they prayed and said, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all, shew us, which of these two Thou hast chosen, 25 to take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas is fallen by his transgression, that he might go to his own place.

Acts 1:25

25 to take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas is fallen by his transgression, that he might go to his own place.

Acts 2:23

23 (as ye yourselves also know,) Him being given up by the determinate counsel and fore-knowlege of God ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain.

Acts 2:30-36

30 Therefore being a prophet; and knowing that God had sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up the Messiah, to sit on his throne; 31 foreseeing this he spake of the resurrection of Christ, when he said, that his soul was not left in the invisible state, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32 This Jesus hath God raised up from the dead, of which we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being exalted by the right hand of God, and having received of the Father the promise of the holy Spirit, He hath poured forth this gift, which ye now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he himself says, "The Lord said to my Lord, 35 Sit thou at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool." 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made this very Jesus, whom ye crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Romans 5:9-10

9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, shall we be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son; much more being reconciled shall we be saved by his life.

Romans 8:32

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things?

Romans 12:21

21 Be not overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Romans 14:6

6 He that regardeth a day regardeth it to the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, in deference to the Lord he doth not regard it. So he, that eateth all sorts of food, eateth to the Lord; for he giveth God thanks for it; and he that eateth not of some kinds of food, in deference to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks for the rest.

1 Corinthians 5:7-8

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new mass, without leaven. For our paschal lamb, even Christ, was slain for us.

1 Corinthians 5:7

7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new mass, without leaven. For our paschal lamb, even Christ, was slain for us. 8 Wherefore let us keep the feast, not with the old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavening of sincerity and truth.

1 Corinthians 6:2-3

2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy of judging the smallest controversies? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? what! and not worthy of judging the affairs of this life?

1 Corinthians 9:25

25 And every one that enters the lists is temperate in all things: they indeed do it that they may receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible one.

1 Corinthians 10:16

16 ---The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ?

1 Corinthians 10:16-21

16 ---The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? the bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? 17 For the bread is one, and we though many are one body; for we all partake of that one bread. 18 Consider Israel according to the flesh, Are not they, that eat of the sacrifices, partakers of the altar? 19 What say I then? that the idol is any thing, or that what is sacrificed to an idol is in itself any thing to stumble at? 20 No: but this I say, that what the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God. 21 And I would not have you partakers with demons. Ye cannot drink of the cup of the Lord, and the cup of demons: ye cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and of the table of demons.

1 Corinthians 11:23-29

23 For I received from the Lord, that which I also delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus the same night in which He was betrayed took bread: 24 and gave thanks, and brake it, and said, "Take and eat; this is my body, which is going to be broken for you: this do in remembrance of me." 25 And in the same manner He took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant ratified in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink of it, in remembrance of me."

1 Corinthians 11:25

25 And in the same manner He took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant ratified in my blood: this do, as often as ye drink of it, in remembrance of me." 26 As often then as ye eat of this bread, and drink of this cup, ye commemorate the Lord's death till he come. 27 So that whosoever eateth this bread, or drinketh of the cup of the Lord unworthily, shall be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord. 28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of this bread and drink of this cup: 29 for he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh judgement against himself, not distinguishing the Lord's body.

1 Corinthians 13:4

4 Charity beareth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity is not insolent, is not puffed up,

1 Corinthians 15:3-4

3 For in the first place I delivered to you, that which I also received, to wit, that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures: 4 and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day, according to the scriptures.

1 Corinthians 15:33

33 Be not deceived, bad conversations corrupt good morals.

2 Corinthians 1:4-6

4 that we may be able to comfort those, that are in any trouble, by the consolation wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God. 5 For as the sufferings for the sake of Christ abound on us, so our consolation by Christ doth also abound. 6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is wrought out by the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or if we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation. 7 And our hope is firm concerning you, knowing that as ye are partakers of the sufferings, so also of the consolation.

2 Corinthians 3:6

6 Who hath also fitted us to be ministers of the new covenant, not of the letter, but of the Spirit: for the letter killeth, but the Spirit giveth life.

2 Corinthians 4:3-6

3 And if our gospel also be veiled, it is to those that perish; 4 among whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, so that the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, doth not shine unto them: 5 for we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for the sake of Jesus. 6 For God, who commanded light to shine out of darkness, hath shined into our hearts, to reflect the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 For He hath made Him, who knew no sin, to be a sin-offering for us, that in Him we might be made righteous before God.

2 Corinthians 6:15-17

15 what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath a believer with an infidel? 16 and what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God: as God hath said, "I will dwell in them, and I will walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." 17 Wherefore, "come out from the midst of them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch no unclean thing," and I will receive you:

2 Corinthians 7:9-11

9 However, now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance; for ye were grieved after a godly manner, so that ye received no damage from us. 10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. 11 For behold this very thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly manner, what diligence it wrought in you! yea, what apology, what indignation, what fear, what earnest desire, what zeal, what revenge! by all which ye have shewn yourselves to be clear in the affair.

2 Corinthians 8:9

9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that ye by his poverty might be rich.

2 Corinthians 10:1

1 Now I Paul myself exhort you, by the meekness and lenity of Christ, who in presence am lowly among you,

2 Corinthians 10:3-4

3 For though we are in the flesh, we do not carry on our war according to the flesh: 4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the demolishing of bulwarks:)

2 Corinthians 10:4

4 (for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the demolishing of bulwarks:)

2 Corinthians 12:7-10

7 And least I should be too much lifted up with the abundance of the revelations, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, least I should be too much elevated. 8 For this I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And He said unto me, "My grace is sufficient for thee: for my power is manifested in thy weakness." With the greatest pleasure therefore will I glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 And therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, and in straits for the sake of Christ: for when I am thus weak, then am I made strong.

Ephesians 5:18-19

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Moreover, my brethren, strengthen yourselves in the Lord, and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the Devil. 12 For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our conflict is not with flesh and blood only, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world and of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places. 13 Take therefore the complete armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. 14 Stand therefore having your loins girt about with truth, and putting on the breast-plate of righteousness: 15 and having your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: 16 over all taking the shield of faith, whereby ye will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one: 17 take also the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints;

Ephesians 6:18-19

18 praying at all seasons with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance, and intercession for all the saints; 19 and for me particularly, that utterance may be given me, that I may open my mouth with freedom, to make known the mystery of the gospel:

Philippians 2:3-5

3 Do nothing through strife or vain-glory, but in lowliness of mind each esteeming others better than themselves. 4 Look not every one to his own interests only, but every one also to the concerns of others. 5 Let the same mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

Philippians 2:7-8

7 Yet He emptied himself, assuming the form of a servant, when made in the likeness of men: 8 and being in the human state, He humbled himself, and was obedient even unto death, and that the death of the cross.

1 Thessalonians 2:14-15

14 For ye, brethren, became followers of the churches of God, which are in Judea, in Christ Jesus, in that ye also have suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they have from the Jews: 15 who both killed the Lord Jesus, and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; who are displeasing to God, and contrary to all men:

1 Thessalonians 3:4

4 For when we were with you, we told you before that we should be afflicted, as it came to pass, and ye know.

1 Thessalonians 5:8

8 but let us, who are of the day, be sober; putting on the breast-plate of faith and love, and for an helmet the hope of salvation.

1 Thessalonians 5:18

18 In every circumstance be thankful; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

1 Timothy 1:13-16

13 who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an oppressor. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief: and the grace of our Lord superabounded,

13 who before was a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and an oppressor. But I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief: and the grace of our Lord superabounded, 14 with faith and love in Christ Jesus.

1 Timothy 1:14-14

14 with faith and love in Christ Jesus. 15 It is a truth highly to be believed, and worthy to be received by all, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners:---of whom I am one of the chief. 16 But for this end I obtained mercy, that in me a chief sinner Jesus Christ might display his long-suffering, for an example to those who should afterwards believe on Him to eternal life.

1 Timothy 3:16

16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.

1 Timothy 4:4-5

4 For every creature of God is good, and nothing to be rejected, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 for it is sanctified by the word of God and by prayer.

1 Timothy 6:9-10

9 But they, that will be rich, fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into ruin and perdition. 10 For the love of money is the root of all evils, which some coveting after have been led astray from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

2 Timothy 2:10-12

10 Therefore I submit to every thing for the sake of the elect, that they also may obtain the salvation which is by Christ Jesus, with eternal glory. 11 It is an undoubted truth, if we are dead with Him, we shall also live with Him: 12 if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we disown Him, He will also disown us.

2 Timothy 2:12-12

12 if we suffer, we shall also reign with Him: if we disown Him, He will also disown us.

Hebrews 2:17

17 Whence it behoved Him to be made in all things like unto his brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful high-priest in the things concerning God, to make atonement for the sins of the people: 18 for as He himself hath suffered, in being tempted, He is able to succour those that are tempted.

Hebrews 4:15

15 for we have not an high-priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but was in all respects tempted in like manner with us, yet without sin.

Hebrews 5:7

7 Who in the days of his flesh, offered prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears, to Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in what He feared;

Hebrews 8:1

1 Now the sum of the things that have been said is this, that we have such an high-priest, who is sat down at the right hand of the throne of the majesty in the heavens;

Hebrews 8:6-13

6 But now He hath obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also the mediator of a better covenant, which is established upon better promises. 7 For if the first covenant had been unexceptionable, there had been no room for a second: 8 as we see there was, for after complaining of them, He adds, "Behold the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: 9 not according to the covenant which I made with their fathers, in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; for they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord. 10 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their mind, and I will inscribe them on their hearts; and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people. 11 And they shall not teach every one his neighbour, and every one his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the lest even to the greatest of them. 12 For I will forgive their crimes, and their sins and their iniquities I will remember no more." 13 Now by saying, a new covenant, He hath antiquated the first: and what is antiquated, and groweth old, is near it's exit.

Hebrews 9:15

15 And on this account He is the mediator of a new covenant, that undergoing death for the redemption of transgressions against the first covenant, they that are called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 9:17

17 For a testament is valid after men are dead, but is of no force while the testator is living.

Hebrews 10:1-10

1 For the law having but a faint shadow of good things to come, and not the full image of the things, can never, even by the great annual sacrifices which they offer statedly, make the comers thereunto perfect. 2 For then they would have ceased to be offered, because the sacrificers, being once purified, would no longer retain any consciousness of sins. 3 Whereas in these very sacrifices there is a recalling of sins to mind every year. 4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. 5 Wherefore upon his coming into the world He saith, "Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire, but a body hast thou prepared me: 6 in whole burnt-offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hadst no pleasure: 7 then said I, Lo I come, as in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God." 8 Having said before, "Thou didst not desire, nor hadst pleasure in, sacrifice and offering, and whole burnt-offerings, and sacrifices for sin," (which are offered by the law) then He adds, 9 "Lo I come to do thy will, O God." (He taketh away the first, that He may establish the second.) 10 By which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

James 4:5-6

5 Do ye think the scripture speaks in vain? or does the Spirit that dwelleth in us, excite to envy? 6 No, He giveth more grace: wherefore it is said, God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.

1 Peter 1:1

1 Peter an apostle of Jesus Christ to the strangers who are dispersed through Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia,

1 Peter 1:5

5 who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

1 Peter 1:11

11 searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ in them did declare in testifying beforehand the sufferings that were to come upon Christ, and the glories following them:

1 Peter 1:13

13 Wherefore girding up the loins of your mind, be sober, and stedfastly hope for the grace to be conferred upon you at the appearing of Jesus Christ;

1 Peter 2:21-23

21 For unto this are ye called; because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that ye might follow his steps. 22 Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: 23 who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously.

1 Peter 2:23

23 who, when He was reviled, reviled not again; when He suffered, He threatened not; but committed Himself to Him that judgeth righteously. 24 Who Himself bare our sins in his own body on the cross, that we being dead to sins, might live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye are healed.

1 Peter 3:22

22 who is gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels and authorities and powers being made subject to Him.

1 Peter 4:1

1 Seeing therefore Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same thought, that he, who hath mortified the flesh, hath ceased from sin;

1 Peter 4:7

7 But the end of all things draws nigh: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer:

1 Peter 5:3

3 nor as lording it over the people, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the sovereign Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive an unfading crown of glory. 5 Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder; and all of you behaving with due submission one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble.

1 Peter 5:5

5 Likewise ye younger, be subject to the elder; and all of you behaving with due submission one to another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, but sheweth favor to the humble. 6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time;

1 Peter 5:8

8 Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8-10

8 Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

1 Peter 5:8-9

8 Be sober, be vigilant; for your adversary the devil, like a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: 9 whom resist, stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are endured by your brethren in the world.

1 Peter 5:9

9 whom resist, stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are endured by your brethren in the world.

1 Peter 5:9-9

9 whom resist, stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are endured by your brethren in the world. 10 But may the God of all grace, who hath called us to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, after ye have suffered a little while, make you perfect, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.

2 Peter 1:10-12

10 Wherefore, my brethren, be the more diligent thus to make your calling and election sure; for if ye do these things ye shall never fall. 11 For so an entrance shall be administered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. 12 Wherefore I will not neglect to put you always in mind of these things, though ye know them, and are established in the present truth.

2 Peter 2:3

3 and by artful speeches they will make sale of you for gain. Whose judgement is long since hastening, and their destruction doth not slumber.

2 Peter 2:15

15 who have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, having followed the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of iniquity;

2 Peter 3:14

14 Wherefore, beloved, seeing ye expect these things, give diligence to be found of Him in peace, spotless and blameless;

2 Peter 3:17-18

17 Do ye therefore, beloved, as ye know these things before, take heed least being seduced together with them by the error of the wicked, ye should fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ: to Him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.

1 John 1:9

9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness:

1 John 2:1-2

1 My little children, I write these things unto you, that ye may not sin. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

1 John 2:19

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been indeed of us, they would have continued with us; but this was done that they might be made manifest, because all, that are with us, are not indeed of us.

3 John 1:9-10

9 I wrote to the church: but Diotrephes, who affects the pre-eminence among them, doth not receive us. 10 Therefore when I come, I will remember his deeds, prating against us with wicked words: and not content with these, he neither receiveth the brethren himself, nor suffers those that would; and casteth them out of the church. 11 Wo unto them; for they have gone in the way of Cain, and been carried away by Balaam's error, the love of lucre, and perished as in the contradiction of Korah.

Revelation 2:5

5 Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works: else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of its place, if thou repent not.

Revelation 2:26-27

26 And to him that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, will I give power over the nations: 27 and he shall rule them with a rod of iron, as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken in pieces; as I also have received of my Father;

Revelation 3:10

10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which is to come upon the whole world, to try those that dwell upon the earth.

Revelation 3:20

20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any one hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. 21 To him that overcometh I will grant to sit with me on my throne, as I also have overcome, and am set down with my Father on his throne.

Revelation 4:4

4 And around the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw twenty four elders sitting, clothed in white garments; and they had upon their heads crowns of gold.

Revelation 12:9-12

9 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him. 10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night.

Revelation 12:10-12

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, who accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their life unto the death. 12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them: but wo to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea; for the devil is come down to you, in great rage, knowing that he hath but a short time.
