¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

²³ "Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel," which is God with us.)

² The same was in the beginning with God.

¹⁴ And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, being full of grace and truth: and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father.

¹⁸ and though no one hath ever seen God, or can see Him: yet the only-begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, hath made Him known.

³⁰ I and the Father are one. Then the Jews again took up stones to stone Him. ³¹ But Jesus said unto them, ³² Many good works have I shewn you from my Father; for which of those works do ye stone me? ³³ The Jews answered Him, saying, We do not go about to stone thee for a good work, but for blasphemy; and because thou being a man makest thyself God.

²⁸ and am come into the world: but now I am leaving the world again, and am going to the Father.

⁵ and now, O Father, glorify Thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had with Thee before the world was made.

²⁸ And Thomas answered, and said, "My Lord and my God."

⁵ whose are the fathers, and of whom, as to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all God blessed for ever. Amen.

⁹ and make all men to see the communication of the mystery, which from the ages past hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ;

⁶ who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be as God.

¹⁷ He is before all, and by Him all things subsist.

¹⁶ And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, and received up into glory.

¹³ looking for the blessed hope, and glorious appearance of the great God, and our Saviour, Jesus Christ:

⁸ but to the Son, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; the sceptre of thy kingdom is a sceptre of righteousness: ⁹ thou lovest righteousness and hatest iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thine associates." ¹⁰ And in another place, "Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast founded the earth, and the heavens are the works of thy hands: ¹¹ they shall perish, but thou remainest; and they shall all grow old as a garment, ¹² and as a mantle wilt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail." ¹³ But to which of the angels hath He ever said, "Sit thou at my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?"

³ without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days recorded, nor end of life, but resembling the Son of God, remaineth a priest continually.

⁸ Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, to day, and for ever:

¹ Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us, in the righteousness of our God, and of our saviour Jesus Christ:

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have contemplated, and our very hands have felt concerning the Word of life, ² (for this Life was manifested, and we saw it; and we testify and declare unto you that eternal Life, which was with the Father,

⁷ Yea there are three that bear witness, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood:

²⁰ But we know that the son of God is come, and hath given us understanding, that we may know Him that is true, and we are in Him that is true, and in his son Jesus Christ: He is the true God, and eternal life.

² who bare witness to the word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ, and to whatever He saw.

⁸ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, saith the Lord, who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.

¹¹ saying, I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last; and, What thou seest write in a book, and send it to the seven churches in Asia, to Ephesus, and to Smyrna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodicea.

¹⁷ And when I saw Him, I fell at his feet as dead; and He laid his right hand upon me, and said to me, "Fear not,

⁸ And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive;

¹⁴ And to the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot:

¹³ And He was clothed with a vesture dipt in blood: and his name is called, "The Word of God."

⁶ And He said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end: I will give to him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
