²² And the report of these things came to the ears of the church in Jerusalem; and they sent Barnabas to Antioch.

³⁶ So Joses who was by the apostles sirnamed Barnabas, which is a son of consolation, ³⁷ a Levite, by birth a Cyprian, having an estate, sold it and brought the money, and laid it at the feet of the apostles.

¹⁴ Now when the apostles at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent to them Peter and John:

²⁷ But Barnabas took and brought him to the apostles, and related to them, how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that He had spoken to him; and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.

¹ Now the apostles and brethren that were in Judea heard that the Gentiles also had received the word of God.

¹ Now there were in the church that was at Antioch certain prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenean, and Manaen who had been educated with Herod the tetrarch, and Saul; ² and as they were ministring to the Lord, and fasting, the holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the work to which I have called them. ³ Then having fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them they sent them away.

² A dissension therefore arising, and Paul and Barnabas having no small dispute with them, it was resolved that Paul and Barnabas, and some others, should go up to the apostles and elders at Jerusalem about this question.

²² Then it seemed good to the apostles, and elders, and the whole church, to send men chose from among themselves to Antioch along with Paul and Barnabas; namely, Judas sirnamed Barsabas, and Silas; leading men among the brethren:

³⁵ teaching and preaching, with many others likewise, the word of the Lord. ³⁶ And after some days Paul said to Barnabas, Let us return and visit our brethren in every city, where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they are. ³⁷ And Barnabas proposed to take with them John, who was surnamed Mark. ³⁸ But Paul did not think proper to take him with them, who left them in Pamphylia, and went not with them to the work. ³⁹ And there was a sharp dispute, so that they separated from each other; and Barnabas took Mark and sailed to Cyprus: but Paul chose Silas and departed,

⁶ But now Timothy being come back to us from you, and having brought us good tidings concerning your faith and love, and that ye have always a good remembrance of us, greatly desiring to see us, as we indeed do to see you;
