¹ Once as the crowd was pressing against Him to hear the message of God, He found Himself standing on the shore of Lake Gennesaret.

¹⁸ As He was walking by the shore of the sea of Galilee, He saw two brothers, Simon who was summed Peter, and his brother Andrew, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. ¹⁹ He said to them, "Come! Follow me, and I will make you fishermen for catching men." ²⁰ And at once they left the nets and followed Him. ²¹ And as He was going on from that point, He saw two others, brothers, James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, getting their nets in order; and He called them. ²² And at once they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until the present moment the kingdom of heaven has been continuously taken by storm, and those who take it by storm are seizing it as a precious prize.

³⁴ And they crossed over to the other side and came to Gennesaret.

⁹ So He told His disciples to keep a little boat ready for Him all the time, to prevent the crowds from crushing Him.

²⁴ So He went off with him, and a great crowd kept following Him, and jostling Him.

⁵³ They crossed over to the other side and came to Gennesaret and anchored the boat.

⁴⁵ Then Jesus said, "Who was it that touched me?" But as all were denying that they had done so, Peter said, "Master, the crowds are jamming you and jostling you."

¹ Meanwhile as the people had gathered in tens of thousands, so that they were trampling upon one another, He began to say, first of all, to His disciples: "Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, that is, hypocrisy.
