John Cross References - Williams

1 In the beginning the Word existed; and the Word was face to face with God; yea, the Word was God Himself. 2 He is the One who was face to face with God in the beginning. 3 It was through Him that everything came into existence, and apart from Him not a single thing came into existence. 4 It was by Him that life began to exist, and that life was the light of mankind. 5 So the light continues to shine in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it. 6 There appeared a man named John, sent from God. 7 He came for the purpose of testifying, to testify to the light, so that everyone through him might come to believe. 8 He was not the light; he came to testify to the light. 9 The real light, which sheds light upon everyone, was just coming into the world. 10 He came into the world, and though the world through Him began to exist, it did not recognize Him. 11 He came into His own world, but His own people did not welcome Him. 12 But to all who did accept Him, and trust in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God, 13 who were born of God and not of natural blood nor of physical or human impulse. 14 So the Word became human and lived a little while among us, and we actually saw His glory, the glory of One who is an only Son from His Father, and He was full of spiritual blessing and truth. 15 John testified to Him and cried out, for this was the one who said, "The One who is coming after me has been put before me, because He existed before me." 16 For from His bounty we have all received spiritual blessing after spiritual blessing. 17 For while the law was given through Moses, spiritual blessing and truth have come through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only son, Deity Himself, who lies upon His Father's breast, has made him known. 19 Now this is the testimony which John gave when the Jews sent priests and Levites to him from Jerusalem, to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 He frankly admitted, and did not try at all to deny it; yes, he frankly admitted, "I am not the Christ." 21 So they asked him again, "What are you then? Elijah?" And he answered, "Of course, I am not." "Are you the prophet?" He answered, "No." 22 Then they said to him, "Who are you? Tell us, so that we can have an answer to give to those who sent us. What have you to say for yourself?" 23 He said, "I am a voice of one shouting in the desert, 'Make the road straight for the Lord,' as the prophet Isaiah said." 24 Now the messengers belonged to the party of the Pharisees; 25 so they asked him, "Why are you baptizing then, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?" 26 John answered them, "I am baptizing only in water. There is standing among you One with whom you are not acquainted. 27 He is to become my successor, because He has been put before me, and I am not fit to untie His shoestrings." 28 This took place at Bethany on the farther side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God who is to take away the world's sin. 30 This is the One about whom I said, 'After me there is coming a man who has already been put before me, because He existed before me.' 31 I did not know Him myself, but I came baptizing in water, that He might be made known to Israel." 32 Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit coming down from heaven like a dove, and it remained on Him. 33 I did not know Him myself, but the very One who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'The One on whom you see the Spirit coming down and remaining, is the One who is to baptize in the Holy Spirit.' 34 I did see it; and my testimony is that He is the Son of God." 35 Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and as he saw Jesus passing by he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God!" 37 The two disciples heard him say this, and so they followed Jesus. 38 Now Jesus turned, and as He saw them following Him, He said, "What are you looking for?" They said to Him, "Rabbi," (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?" 39 He said to them, "Come and you will see." So they went and saw where He was staying, and they spent the rest of the day with Him; it was about four in the afternoon. 40 Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. 41 He first found his brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means, the Christ). 42 Then he took him to Jesus. Jesus looked him over and said, "You are Simon, son of John. From now on your name shall be Cephas" (which means Peter, or Rock). 43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. So He sought out Philip and said to him, "Follow me." 44 Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the town of Andrew and Peter. 45 Philip sought out Nathaniel and said to him, "We have found the One about whom Moses wrote in the law and the One about whom the prophets wrote; it is Jesus, the son of Joseph, who comes from Nazareth." 46 Then Nathaniel said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." 47 Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward Him, and said of him, "Here is a genuine Israelite with no deceit in him!" 48 Nathaniel said to Him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered him, "While you were still under the fig tree, before Philip called you, I saw you." 49 Nathaniel answered Him, "Teacher, you are the Son of God, you are the king of Israel!" 50 Jesus answered him, "Do you believe in me because I told you that I saw you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this." 51 Then He said to him, "I most solemnly say to you all, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God going up, and coming down upon the Son of Man!"

68 "Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, for He has come and brought His people deliverance; 69 and He has made a mighty Saviour for us in the house of His servant David, 70 "as He promised by the lips of His ancient prophets, 71 deliverance from our foes and from the hands of all who hate us, 72 to show mercy to our forefathers, and carry out His sacred covenant, 73 the oath which He swore to our forefather Abraham, 74 to grant us deliverance from the dreaded hand of our foes, so that we could serve Him 75 in holiness and uprightness In His own presence all our days. 76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to make ready His ways,

Luke 1:76-79

76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to make ready His ways,

Luke 1:76-80

76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High, for you will go before the Lord to make ready His ways, 77 to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins.

Luke 1:77-80

77 to give His people the knowledge of salvation through the forgiveness of their sins. 78 Because the heart of our God is merciful. And so the day will dawn upon us from on high,

Luke 1:78-80

78 Because the heart of our God is merciful. And so the day will dawn upon us from on high, 79 to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace."

Luke 1:79-80

79 to shine on those who sit in darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace." 80 Now the child continued to grow and to gain strength in the Spirit, and he lived in the desert until the day when he announced himself to Israel.

Luke 2:4

4 And Joseph too went up from Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to the town of David in Judea called Bethlehem, because he was a descendant of the house and family of David,

Luke 2:7

7 and she bore her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him up and laid Him in a manger, for there was no room for them at the inn.

Luke 2:9

9 Then an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, so that they were fearfully frightened.

Luke 2:11

11 for today, in the town of David, a Saviour for you has been born, who is to be your Messiah and Lord.

Luke 2:13

13 Then suddenly there appeared with the angel a throng of the heavenly host, praising God and saying:

Luke 2:17

17 When they saw this, they informed them of the story that had been told about this child.

Luke 2:32

32 a light of revelation to the heathen, and a glory to your people Israel."

Luke 2:38

38 Just at that time she came up and began to give thanks to God and to speak about the child to all who were expecting the deliverance of Jerusalem. 39 Now when they had completed everything that was in accordance with the law of the Lord, they returned to Galilee, to their own town of Nazareth. 40 And the child continued to grow and gain in strength; He continued to increase in wisdom, and the spiritual blessing of God was on Him. 41 His parents were in the habit of going to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the Passover. 42 And when He was twelve years old, they went up as usual to the feast

Luke 3:2-20

2 in the high priesthood of Annas and Caiaphas, the message of God came to John, the son of Zechariah, in the desert. 3 And he went all over the Jordan valley, preaching a baptism conditioned on repentance to obtain the forgiveness of sins,

Luke 3:3-4

3 And he went all over the Jordan valley, preaching a baptism conditioned on repentance to obtain the forgiveness of sins, 4 as it is written in the sermon-book of the prophet Isaiah: "Here is a voice of one shouting in the desert, 'Get the road ready for the Lord, make the paths straight for Him.

Luke 3:4-6

4 as it is written in the sermon-book of the prophet Isaiah: "Here is a voice of one shouting in the desert, 'Get the road ready for the Lord, make the paths straight for Him.

Luke 3:4-4

4 as it is written in the sermon-book of the prophet Isaiah: "Here is a voice of one shouting in the desert, 'Get the road ready for the Lord, make the paths straight for Him. 5 Every ravine must be filled up, and every mountain and hill leveled down; the crooked places must become straight roads, and the rough roads must be made smooth,

Luke 3:5-6

5 Every ravine must be filled up, and every mountain and hill leveled down; the crooked places must become straight roads, and the rough roads must be made smooth, 6 And all mankind must see the salvation of God.'"

Luke 3:6-6

6 And all mankind must see the salvation of God.'" 7 So he used to say to the crowds that continued to come out there to be baptized by him: "You brood of vipers! Who warned you to escape from the wrath that is coming? 8 Produce, then, fruit that is consistent with the repentance that you profess, and do not even begin to say within yourselves, 'We have Abraham for our forefather,' for I tell you, God can raise up descendants for Abraham even out of these stones. 9 Now the axe is already lying at the roots of the trees. Every tree, then, that fails to bear good fruit is to be cut down and thrown into the fire." 10 So the crowds were asking him this question, "What then ought we to do?" 11 He answered them, "The man who has two shirts must share with him who has none, and the man who has food must do the same." 12 Then even the tax-collectors came to be baptized, and said to him, "Teacher, what ought we to do?" 13 So he said to them, "Stop collecting any more than is prescribed for you." 14 Then some soldiers too were asking him, "What ought we too to do?" So he said to them, "Never extort money from anyone, never make a false accusation, and always be satisfied with your wages." 15 Now while the people were on tiptoe in their expectations, and they were all arguing in their hearts about John whether he was himself the Christ,

Luke 3:15-18

15 Now while the people were on tiptoe in their expectations, and they were all arguing in their hearts about John whether he was himself the Christ,

Luke 3:15-17

15 Now while the people were on tiptoe in their expectations, and they were all arguing in their hearts about John whether he was himself the Christ, 16 John expressly answered them all, "I am baptizing you in water only, but there is coming the One who is stronger than I am, whose shoestrings I am not fit to untie. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire;

Luke 3:16

16 John expressly answered them all, "I am baptizing you in water only, but there is coming the One who is stronger than I am, whose shoestrings I am not fit to untie. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire;

Luke 3:16-18

16 John expressly answered them all, "I am baptizing you in water only, but there is coming the One who is stronger than I am, whose shoestrings I am not fit to untie. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire;

Luke 3:16-17

16 John expressly answered them all, "I am baptizing you in water only, but there is coming the One who is stronger than I am, whose shoestrings I am not fit to untie. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit and in fire; 17 His winnowing-fork is in His hand, and He will clean out His threshing-floor, and store His wheat in His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with fire inextinguishable."

Luke 3:17-18

17 His winnowing-fork is in His hand, and He will clean out His threshing-floor, and store His wheat in His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with fire inextinguishable."

Luke 3:17-17

17 His winnowing-fork is in His hand, and He will clean out His threshing-floor, and store His wheat in His barn; but He will burn up the chaff with fire inextinguishable." 18 So with many and varied exhortations John continued to proclaim the good news to the people.

Luke 3:18-18

18 So with many and varied exhortations John continued to proclaim the good news to the people. 19 But Herod the governor, because he was repeatedly reproved by him for Herodias his brother's wife, and for all the wicked deeds that Herod had done, 20 added this on top of it all, that he put John in prison. 21 Now when all the people had been baptized, and when Jesus had been baptized and was still praying, heaven opened 22 and the Holy Spirit came down upon Him in bodily form as a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "You are my Son, my Beloved! In you I am delighted!" 23 Now Jesus Himself was about thirty years old when He began His work; He was the son, as was supposed, of Joseph, the son of Eli,

Luke 4:18-21

18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for He has consecrated me to preach the good news to the poor; He has sent me to announce release to captives and recovery of sight to the blind; to send the downtrodden away in liberty and 19 to announce the year of favor from the Lord." 20 Then He rolled up the roll and gave it back to the attendant and took His seat. Now the eyes of everyone in the synagogue were gazing at Him. 21 Then He began to speak to them, "Today this Scripture has been fulfilled here in your hearing." 22 So they all began to speak well of Him and to wonder at the gracious words that fell from His lips, and yet they continued to say, "Is He not Joseph's son?"

Luke 4:28-29

28 Then all the people in the synagogue, on hearing these things, were filled with fury, 29 and they rose up and drove Him out of town and took Him to the brow of the hill on which their town was built, to hurl Him down the cliff.

Luke 5:2-11

2 Then He saw two boats lying up on the shore of the lake, but the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 So He got into one of the boats, which belonged to Simon, and asked him to push out a little from the shore. Then He sat down and continued to teach the crowds from the boat. 4 When He stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Push out into deep water, and set your nets for a haul." 5 Simon answered, "We have toiled all night and caught nothing, but since you tell me to do so, I will set the nets again." 6 They did so and caught so vast a shoal of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they beckoned to their partners in the other boat to come and help them. And they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink. 8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' feet and said, "Leave me, Lord, because I am a sinful man."

Luke 5:8

8 When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' feet and said, "Leave me, Lord, because I am a sinful man." 9 For at the haul of fish that they had made, bewildering amazement had seized him and all his men, 10 as well as James and John, Zebedee's sons, who were Simon's partners. Then Jesus said to Simon, "Stop being afraid; from now on you will be catching men." 11 So after they had brought the boats to land, they left everything and followed Him.

Luke 6:14

14 Simon whom he named Peter, his brother Andrew, James, John, Philip, Bartholomew,

Luke 7:9

9 When Jesus heard this, He was astounded at him, and turning to the crowd that was following Him He said, "I tell you, I have not found, in a single case among the Jews, so great faith as this!"

Luke 7:24-27

24 But when John's messengers had gone, He began to speak to the crowds about John: "What did you go out into the desert to gaze at? A reed that is tossed to and fro by the wind? 25 If not, what did you go out there to see? A man dressed in silks and satins? No. People who dress gorgeously and live luxuriously are found in royal palaces. 26 If not, then what did you go out there to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and one who is far more than a prophet. 27 This is the man of whom the Scripture says: "'Attention! I send my messenger on before you. He will prepare the road ahead of you.'

Luke 7:30

30 but the Pharisees and experts in the law thwarted God's purpose for themselves by refusing to be baptized by him.

Luke 8:38

38 The man out of whom the demons had gone begged Him to let him go with Him, but Jesus sent him away and said,

Luke 9:10

10 Now the apostles returned and told Jesus all that they had done. Then He took them and privately retired to a town called Bethsaida.

Luke 9:32

32 Now Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep, but all at once they became wide awake and saw His splendor and the two men who were standing with Him.

Luke 10:13

13 A curse on you, Chorazin! A curse on you, Bethsaida! For if the wonder-works done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, long ago they would have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Luke 10:22

22 All things have been entrusted to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and anyone to whom the Son chooses to make Him known."

Luke 10:39

39 She had a sister named Mary who took her seat at the Lord's feet, and remained listening to His message.

Luke 11:39-44

39 But the Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees have the habit of cleaning the outside of your cups and dishes, but inside you yourselves are full of greed and wickedness. 40 You fools! Did not the One who made the outside make the inside too? 41 But dedicate once for all your inner self, and at once you will have everything clean. 42 But a curse on you Pharisees, because you pay tithes on mint, rue, and every tiny garden herb, but neglect justice and the love of God! These latter especially you ought to have done, but ought not to have neglected the former. 43 A curse on you Pharisees, because you like to have the front seats in synagogues, and to be greeted with honor in public places! 44 A curse on you, because you are like unmarked graves which men walk over without knowing it!"

Luke 11:53

53 After He left the house, the scribes and the Pharisees began to be violently enraged against Him and to try to draw Him out on many subjects,

Luke 12:57

57 Why do you not of yourselves decide what is right?

Luke 14:25

25 Now great crowds were going along with Him, and all at once He turned and said to them:

Luke 15:20

20 So he got up and went to his father. But, while he was still a long way off, his father saw him, and his heart was moved with pity for him, and he ran and fell on his neck, and kissed him affectionately.

Luke 16:14

14 Now the Pharisees who were lovers of money had been listening to all this, and they began to ridicule Him.

Luke 16:22-23

22 One day the beggar died and was carried away by the angels to be Abraham's bosom companion, and the rich man too died and was buried. 23 And in Hades he looked up, in constant tortures as he was, and saw Abraham far away and Lazarus his bosom companion.

Luke 18:40-41

40 Then Jesus stopped and ordered him to be brought to Him. And when he approached Jesus, He said to him, 41 "What do you want me to do for you?" He answered, "Lord, I want to see again!"

Luke 19:5

5 And as Jesus came to the place, He looked up and said to him, "Zaccheus, come down quickly! for today I must stop at your house."

Luke 19:10

10 For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save the people that are lost."

Luke 19:14

14 But his citizens continued to hate him, and sent a delegation after him to say, 'We do not want this man to become king over us.'

Luke 19:38

38 and said: "Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord; peace in heaven and praise on high!"

Luke 20:13-15

13 Then the owner of the vineyard said, 'What shall I do? I will send my dearly loved son. They will, I should think, respect him.' 14 But when the tenants saw him, they argued among themselves, 'This is the heir; let us kill him, so that what he inherits may be ours.' 15 So they drove him out of the vineyard and killed him. What then will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

Luke 21:15

15 for I will give you such wisdom of speech as all your opponents combined will not be able to resist and refute.

Luke 22:43

43 Omitted Text.

Luke 22:61

61 Then the Lord turned and looked at Peter, and Peter was reminded of the word that the Lord had spoken to him, "Before a cock crows today, you will disown me three times."

Luke 22:69

69 But from today the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the mighty God."

Luke 24:4

4 And as they were being perplexed about this, two men in dazzling robes suddenly took their stand beside them.

Luke 24:27

27 Then He began with Moses and went through all the prophets and explained to them all the passages in the Scriptures about Himself.

Luke 24:29

29 but they earnestly urged Him, and said, "Stop and stay with us, for it is getting toward evening and the day is nearly spent." So He went in to stay with them.

Luke 24:44

44 Then He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you, that everything which is written about me in the law of Moses, in the prophets, and in the Psalms, had to be fulfilled."

John 1:1

1 In the beginning the Word existed; and the Word was face to face with God; yea, the Word was God Himself.

John 1:1-2

1 In the beginning the Word existed; and the Word was face to face with God; yea, the Word was God Himself. 2 He is the One who was face to face with God in the beginning.

John 1:2-2

2 He is the One who was face to face with God in the beginning.

John 1:4

4 It was by Him that life began to exist, and that life was the light of mankind. 5 So the light continues to shine in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it.

John 1:7

7 He came for the purpose of testifying, to testify to the light, so that everyone through him might come to believe.

John 1:7-8

7 He came for the purpose of testifying, to testify to the light, so that everyone through him might come to believe. 8 He was not the light; he came to testify to the light.

John 1:8-8

8 He was not the light; he came to testify to the light. 9 The real light, which sheds light upon everyone, was just coming into the world.

John 1:9

9 The real light, which sheds light upon everyone, was just coming into the world. 10 He came into the world, and though the world through Him began to exist, it did not recognize Him.

John 1:10-11

10 He came into the world, and though the world through Him began to exist, it did not recognize Him. 11 He came into His own world, but His own people did not welcome Him. 12 But to all who did accept Him, and trust in His name, He gave the right to become the children of God,

John 1:14

John 1:18-18

18 No one has ever seen God; the only son, Deity Himself, who lies upon His Father's breast, has made him known. 19 Now this is the testimony which John gave when the Jews sent priests and Levites to him from Jerusalem, to ask him, "Who are you?" 20 He frankly admitted, and did not try at all to deny it; yes, he frankly admitted, "I am not the Christ."

John 1:20-22

20 He frankly admitted, and did not try at all to deny it; yes, he frankly admitted, "I am not the Christ." 21 So they asked him again, "What are you then? Elijah?" And he answered, "Of course, I am not." "Are you the prophet?" He answered, "No." 22 Then they said to him, "Who are you? Tell us, so that we can have an answer to give to those who sent us. What have you to say for yourself?"

John 1:25

25 so they asked him, "Why are you baptizing then, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the prophet?" 26 John answered them, "I am baptizing only in water. There is standing among you One with whom you are not acquainted. 27 He is to become my successor, because He has been put before me, and I am not fit to untie His shoestrings."

John 1:27

27 He is to become my successor, because He has been put before me, and I am not fit to untie His shoestrings." 28 This took place at Bethany on the farther side of the Jordan, where John was baptizing. 29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God who is to take away the world's sin.

John 1:29

29 The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God who is to take away the world's sin. 30 This is the One about whom I said, 'After me there is coming a man who has already been put before me, because He existed before me.'

John 1:30

30 This is the One about whom I said, 'After me there is coming a man who has already been put before me, because He existed before me.' 31 I did not know Him myself, but I came baptizing in water, that He might be made known to Israel."

John 1:31

31 I did not know Him myself, but I came baptizing in water, that He might be made known to Israel." 32 Then John gave this testimony: "I saw the Spirit coming down from heaven like a dove, and it remained on Him. 33 I did not know Him myself, but the very One who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'The One on whom you see the Spirit coming down and remaining, is the One who is to baptize in the Holy Spirit.'

John 1:33-34

33 I did not know Him myself, but the very One who sent me to baptize in water said to me, 'The One on whom you see the Spirit coming down and remaining, is the One who is to baptize in the Holy Spirit.' 34 I did see it; and my testimony is that He is the Son of God."

John 1:34

34 I did see it; and my testimony is that He is the Son of God." 35 Again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, 36 and as he saw Jesus passing by he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God!"

John 1:36-37

36 and as he saw Jesus passing by he said, "Look! He is the Lamb of God!" 37 The two disciples heard him say this, and so they followed Jesus. 38 Now Jesus turned, and as He saw them following Him, He said, "What are you looking for?" They said to Him, "Rabbi," (which means Teacher), "where are you staying?"

John 1:40-42

40 Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, was one of the two who heard John and followed Jesus. 41 He first found his brother Simon and said to him, "We have found the Messiah" (which means, the Christ). 42 Then he took him to Jesus. Jesus looked him over and said, "You are Simon, son of John. From now on your name shall be Cephas" (which means Peter, or Rock). 43 The next day Jesus decided to leave for Galilee. So He sought out Philip and said to him, "Follow me."

John 1:45

45 Philip sought out Nathaniel and said to him, "We have found the One about whom Moses wrote in the law and the One about whom the prophets wrote; it is Jesus, the son of Joseph, who comes from Nazareth." 46 Then Nathaniel said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see."

John 1:46-48

46 Then Nathaniel said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." 47 Jesus saw Nathaniel coming toward Him, and said of him, "Here is a genuine Israelite with no deceit in him!" 48 Nathaniel said to Him, "How do you know me?" Jesus answered him, "While you were still under the fig tree, before Philip called you, I saw you." 49 Nathaniel answered Him, "Teacher, you are the Son of God, you are the king of Israel!"

John 2:11

11 Jesus performed this, the first of His wonder-works, at Cana in Galilee. By it He showed His glorious power, and so His disciples believed in Him.

John 2:18

18 Then the Jews addressed Him and asked, "What sign can you show us that you have authority to act in this way?"

John 2:23

23 Now while He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people, because they saw the wonder-works which He was performing, trusted in Him as the Christ. 24 But He would not trust Himself to them, because He knew all men 25 and needed no testimony from anyone about them, for He well knew what was in human nature.

John 2:25

25 and needed no testimony from anyone about them, for He well knew what was in human nature.

John 3:1-2

1 Now there was a man named Nicodemus, who belonged to the party of the Pharisees and was a leader among the Jews. 2 He came to Jesus one night and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that you have come from God, for no one can perform the wonder-works that you are doing, unless God is with him."

John 3:2

2 He came to Jesus one night and said to Him, "Teacher, we know that you have come from God, for no one can perform the wonder-works that you are doing, unless God is with him." 3 Jesus answered him, "I most solemnly say to you, no one can ever see the kingdom of God, unless he is born from above."

John 3:5-8

5 Jesus answered, "I most solemnly say to you, no one can ever get into the kingdom of God, unless he is born of water and the Spirit.

John 3:5

5 Jesus answered, "I most solemnly say to you, no one can ever get into the kingdom of God, unless he is born of water and the Spirit. 6 Whatever is born of the physical is physical, and whatever is born of the Spirit is spiritual. 7 Never wonder at my telling you that you must all be born from above. 8 The wind blows where it pleases, and you hear the sound of it, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. That is just the way it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit."

John 3:13-14

13 And yet no one has gone up into heaven except the Son of Man who came down out of heaven. 14 And just as Moses in the desert lifted the serpent on the pole, the Son of Man must be lifted up,

John 3:16

16 "For God loved the world so much that He gave His Only Son, so that anyone who trusts in Him may never perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16-18

16 "For God loved the world so much that He gave His Only Son, so that anyone who trusts in Him may never perish but have eternal life. 17 For God sent His Son into the world, not to pass sentence on it, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 Whoever trusts in Him is never to come up for judgment, but whoever does not trust in Him has already received his sentence, because he has not trusted in the name of God's only Son.

John 3:18-18

18 Whoever trusts in Him is never to come up for judgment, but whoever does not trust in Him has already received his sentence, because he has not trusted in the name of God's only Son. 19 And the ground for the sentence is this, that the light has come into the world, and yet, because their actions were evil, men have loved darkness more than the light. 20 For anyone who is in the habit of doing wrong hates the light, and to keep his actions from being reproved, he does not come out into the daylight.

John 3:23

23 But John too was baptizing people at Aenon, near Salim, for there was plenty of water there, and so the people were coming and being baptized.

John 3:25-26

25 Then a discussion came up between John's disciples and a Jew about purification. 26 And they went to John and said to him, "Teacher, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, to whom you bore testimony yourself, is baptizing people and everybody is going to Him."

John 3:26

26 And they went to John and said to him, "Teacher, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, to whom you bore testimony yourself, is baptizing people and everybody is going to Him."

John 3:26-26

26 And they went to John and said to him, "Teacher, the man who was with you on the other side of the Jordan, to whom you bore testimony yourself, is baptizing people and everybody is going to Him." 27 John answered, "A man cannot get anything, unless it is given to him from heaven. 28 You can bear testimony to me yourselves that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent as His announcer.'

John 3:28-36

28 You can bear testimony to me yourselves that I said, 'I am not the Christ, but I have been sent as His announcer.' 29 It is the bridegroom who has the bride, but the bridegroom's friend, who stands outside and listens to him, is very happy to hear the bridegroom's voice. So this happiness of mine is running over. 30 He must grow greater and greater, but I less and less." 31 He who comes from above is far above all others. He who springs from earth belongs to the earth and speaks of earth. He who comes from heaven is far above all others. 32 He continues to bear testimony to what He has actually seen and heard, and yet no one accepts His testimony.

John 3:32

32 He continues to bear testimony to what He has actually seen and heard, and yet no one accepts His testimony. 33 Whoever does accept His testimony has certified with a seal that God is true. 34 For He whom God has sent continues to speak the words of God, for God continues to give Him the Spirit without measure.

John 3:34

34 For He whom God has sent continues to speak the words of God, for God continues to give Him the Spirit without measure. 35 The Father loves His Son and has put everything in His hands. 36 Whoever trusts in the Son possesses eternal life, but whoever refuses to trust in the Son will not see life, but the wrath of God continues to remain on him.

John 4:25

25 The woman said to Him, "I know that the Messiah is coming, the One who is called the Christ. When He comes, He will tell us everything."

John 4:28-29

28 The woman then left her pitcher and went back to town and said to the people, 29 "Come, see a man who has told me everything I ever did. He is not the Christ, is He?"

John 4:29

29 "Come, see a man who has told me everything I ever did. He is not the Christ, is He?"

John 4:39-42

39 Many of the Samaritans in that town believed in Him because of the woman's testimony, when she said, "He has told me everything I ever did." 40 So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they kept on urging Him to stay with them; so He did stay there two days.

John 4:40

40 So when the Samaritans came to Jesus, they kept on urging Him to stay with them; so He did stay there two days. 41 Then a much larger number believed in Him because of what He said Himself, 42 and they were saying to the woman, "It is not merely because of what you said that we now believe, for we have heard Him ourselves, and we know that He is really the Saviour of the world."

John 5:10

10 So the Jews began to say to the man who had been cured, "It is the Sabbath, and it is against the law for you to carry your pallet."

John 5:17-19

17 Then He answered them, "My Father is still working, and so am I."

John 5:17

17 Then He answered them, "My Father is still working, and so am I." 18 It was on account of this that the Jews tried all the harder to put Him to death, because He not only persisted in breaking the Sabbath, but also kept on saying that God was His Father, and so was making Himself equal to God. 19 So Jesus answered them: "I most solemnly say to you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, except as He sees the Father doing it, for whatever the Father is in the habit of doing the Son also persists in doing.

John 5:19

19 So Jesus answered them: "I most solemnly say to you, the Son can do nothing by Himself, except as He sees the Father doing it, for whatever the Father is in the habit of doing the Son also persists in doing.

John 5:21

21 For just as the Father raises the dead and makes them live on, so the Son too makes alive any whom He chooses to.

John 5:23-27

23 that all men may honor the Son as they do the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him. 24 "I most solemnly say to you, whoever listens to me and believes Him who has sent me possesses eternal life, and will never come under condemnation, but has already passed out of death into life.

John 5:24-25

24 "I most solemnly say to you, whoever listens to me and believes Him who has sent me possesses eternal life, and will never come under condemnation, but has already passed out of death into life. 25 I most solemnly say to you, a time is coming -- indeed, it is already here -- when the dead will listen to the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen to it will live.

John 5:25-25

25 I most solemnly say to you, a time is coming -- indeed, it is already here -- when the dead will listen to the voice of the Son of God, and those who listen to it will live. 26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted to the Son to have life in Himself.

John 5:26-27

26 For just as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted to the Son to have life in Himself. 27 He has also granted to Him authority to act as Judge because He is the Son of Man.

John 5:27

27 He has also granted to Him authority to act as Judge because He is the Son of Man.

John 5:32

32 There is someone else who testifies to me, and I know that the testimony which He gives to me is of force. 33 You yourselves sent to John, and he has testified to the truth.

John 5:33-36

33 You yourselves sent to John, and he has testified to the truth. 34 However, I do not accept mere human testimony, but I am saying this that you may be saved.

John 5:34-36

34 However, I do not accept mere human testimony, but I am saying this that you may be saved. 35 John was the lamp that kept on burning and shining, and you decided for a time to delight yourselves in his light.

John 5:35-36

35 John was the lamp that kept on burning and shining, and you decided for a time to delight yourselves in his light. 36 But I have testimony that is higher than John's, for the works which my Father has committed to me to finish, the very works that I am doing, testify to me that the Father has sent me;

John 5:45

45 Do not be thinking that I am going to accuse you to the Father. You have your accuser; it is Moses on whom you have set your hopes!

John 5:45-46

45 Do not be thinking that I am going to accuse you to the Father. You have your accuser; it is Moses on whom you have set your hopes! 46 For if you really believed Moses, you would believe me, for he wrote about me.

John 6:5

5 So Jesus looked up and saw that a vast crowd was coming toward Him, and said to Philip, "Where can we buy bread for these people to eat?"

John 6:7

7 Philip answered Him, "Forty dollars' worth of bread is not enough to give them all even a scanty meal apiece." 8 Another of His disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter's brother, said to Him,

John 6:25

25 So when they had crossed the sea and found Him, they asked Him, "Teacher, when did you get here?" 26 Jesus answered them, "I most solemnly say to you, you are looking for me, not because of the wonder-works you saw, but because you ate the loaves and had plenty.

John 6:32

32 Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, it was not Moses who gave you the real bread out of heaven, but it is my Father who gives you the real bread out of heaven,

John 6:37

37 All that my Father gives to me will come to me, and I will never, no, never reject anyone who comes to me,

John 6:41

41 Then the Jews began to grumble about His saying, "I am the bread that came down out of heaven." 42 And they said, "Is He not Jesus, Joseph's son, whose father and mother we know? So how can He say, 'I have come down out of heaven'?"

John 6:46

46 Not that anyone has ever seen the Father, except Him who is from God; of course, He has seen the Father. 47 I most solemnly say to you, whoever believes in me possesses eternal life.

John 6:51

51 I am this living bread that has come down out of heaven. If anyone eats this bread, he will live forever, and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my own flesh." 52 But the Jews kept on wrangling with one another and saying, "How can He give us His flesh to eat?" 53 Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you do not have life in you.

John 6:69

69 and we have come to believe, yes more, we know by experience, that you are the Holy One of God." 70 Jesus answered them, "Did I not myself select you as the Twelve? And yet one of you is a devil." 71 He was referring to Judas, Simon Iscariot's son, for he was going to betray Him, although he was one of the Twelve.

John 7:12

12 And there was a great deal of grumbling about Him among the crowds, some saying that He was a good man, and others that He was not, but was misleading the masses.

John 7:19

19 Did not Moses give you the law? And yet not one of you is keeping that law. If so, why are you trying to kill me?"

John 7:40

40 So some of the people, when they heard this, said, "This is surely the prophet." 41 Others said, "This is the Christ." But still others said, "The Christ does not come from Galilee, does He? 42 Do not the Scriptures say that the Christ is to spring from David and to come from the village of Bethlehem where David lived?"

John 7:47-49

47 Then the Pharisees answered, "You are not swept off your feet too, are you? 48 None of the authorities or of the Pharisees have believed in Him, have they? 49 But this mob, which knows nothing about the law, is bound to be accursed!"

John 7:52

52 Then they answered him, "You are not from Galilee, too, are you? Search the record and see that no prophet has ever come from Galilee."

John 8:12

12 Then Jesus again addressed them and said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever continues to follow me need never walk in darkness, but he will enjoy the light that means life."

John 8:19

19 Then they began to say to Him, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You do not know either me or my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father too."

John 8:31

31 So Jesus said to the Jews who believed in Him, "If you live in accordance with what I teach, you are really my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." 33 They answered Him, "We are Abraham's descendants and we never have been anybody's slaves. How can you say to us, 'You will be set free'?" 34 Jesus answered them, "I most solemnly say to you, everyone who lives in sin is a slave of sin.

John 8:34

34 Jesus answered them, "I most solemnly say to you, everyone who lives in sin is a slave of sin. 35 Now a slave does not live permanently in a household, but a son does. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be really free. 37 I know that you are Abraham's descendants, and yet you are trying to kill me, because there is no room in you for my teaching. 38 I am telling you what I have seen in my Father's presence, and you are practicing what you have learned from your father." 39 They answered Him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus said to them, "If you are Abraham's children, you must be practicing what Abraham did.

John 8:39

39 They answered Him, "Our father is Abraham." Jesus said to them, "If you are Abraham's children, you must be practicing what Abraham did. 40 But right now you are trying to kill me, a man who has told you the truth that He has learned from God. Abraham never did that. 41 You are practicing what your real father does." They said to Him, "We are not illegitimate children; we have one Father, even God."

John 8:51

51 I most solemnly say to you, if anyone follows my teaching, he will never experience death."

John 8:58

58 Then Jesus said to them, "I most solemnly say to you, I existed before Abraham was born."

John 9:5

5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

John 9:29

29 We do know that God spoke to Moses, but we do not know where this fellow comes from."

John 10:1

1 "I most solemnly say to you, whoever does not enter the sheepfold by the door, but climbs over at some other place is a thief and a robber.

John 10:7

7 So Jesus said to them again: "I most solemnly say to you, I am the door to the sheepfold myself.

John 10:24

24 So the Jews surrounded Him and kept asking Him, "How much longer are you going to keep us in suspense? If you are really the Christ, tell us so plainly."

John 10:30-33

30 The Father and I are one."

John 10:30

30 The Father and I are one." 31 The Jews again picked up stones to stone Him. 32 Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good deeds from my Father. For which of them are you going to stone me?" 33 The Jews retorted, "It is not for a good deed but for blasphemy we are going to stone you; namely, because you, although a mere man, claim to be God."

John 10:36

36 do you now say to me whom my Father has set apart to it and sent into the world, 'You are a blasphemer,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'?

John 10:40

40 He again crossed the Jordan at the place where John at first used to baptize, and there He stayed.

John 11:25

25 Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life myself. Whoever continues to believe in me will live right on even though he dies,

John 11:27

27 She said to Him, "Yes, Lord, I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world."

John 11:40

40 Jesus said to her, "Did I not promise you that if you would believe in me, you should see the glory of God?"

John 11:52

52 and not only for the nation, but also to unite the scattered children of God.

John 12:5

5 "Why was this perfume not sold for sixty dollars and the money given to the poor?"

John 12:13-15

13 took palm branches and went out to meet Him, and kept on shouting: "Blessings on Him! Blessed be He who comes in the name of the Lord; Blessings on the King of Israel!" 14 Then Jesus found a young donkey and mounted it, doing as the Scripture says: 15 "Cease from fearing, Daughter of Zion; See, your King is coming mounted on an ass's colt!"

John 12:21

21 and they went to Philip who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and kept making this request of him, "Sir, we want to see Jesus."

John 12:23-24

23 Jesus answered them, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified, 24 I most solemnly say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains a single grain. But if it does die, it yields a great harvest.

John 12:35

35 Jesus said to them, "Only a little while longer you will have the light. Keep on living by it while you have the light, so that darkness may not overtake you, for whoever walks about in the dark does not know where he is going. 36 While you have the light believe in the light, that you may become sons of light." On saying this Jesus went away and hid Himself. 37 Although He had performed so many wonder-works right before their eyes, they did not believe in Him, 38 so that the utterance of the prophet Isaiah was fulfilled: "Lord, who has believed what they heard from us? And to whom has the mighty arm of the Lord been shown?" 39 So they could not believe, for Isaiah again has said: 40 "He has blinded their eyes and benumbed their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes and understand with their hearts, and turn to me to cure them."

John 12:40-41

40 "He has blinded their eyes and benumbed their hearts, so that they cannot see with their eyes and understand with their hearts, and turn to me to cure them." 41 Isaiah said this, because he saw His glory; yes, he spoke about Him.

John 12:41

41 Isaiah said this, because he saw His glory; yes, he spoke about Him.

John 12:46

46 I have come as light into the world, so that no one who continues to believe in me can remain in darkness.

John 13:16

16 I most solemnly say to you, no slave is superior to his master, and no messenger is greater than the man who sends him.

John 13:18

18 I do not mean all of you. I know whom I have chosen, but I know that the Scriptures must be fulfilled: 'The man who is eating my bread has lifted his heel against me.'

John 13:20-21

20 I most solemnly say to you, whoever welcomes any messenger I send welcomes me, and whoever welcomes me welcomes Him who has sent me." 21 After saying this Jesus was deeply moved in spirit and solemnly said, "I most solemnly say to you, one of you is going to betray me."

John 13:23

23 One of the disciples, whom Jesus specially loved, was sitting very close to Jesus at His right.

John 13:38

38 Jesus answered, "You will lay down your life for me! I most solemnly say to you, before a cock crows, you will three times disown me!"

John 14:6

6 Jesus answered him, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.

John 14:8

8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, let us see the Father, and that will satisfy us."

John 14:8-9

8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, let us see the Father, and that will satisfy us." 9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you disciples so long, and yet you, Philip, have not recognized me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Let us see the Father'?

John 14:9-9

9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you disciples so long, and yet you, Philip, have not recognized me? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Let us see the Father'?

John 14:12

12 I most solemnly say to you, whoever perseveres in believing in me can himself do the things that I am doing; yes, he can do even greater things than I am doing, because I am going to the Father.

John 14:22-23

22 Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said to Him, "Why is it, Lord, that you are going to make yourself real to us and not to the world?" 23 Jesus answered him, "If anyone really loves me, he will observe my teaching, and my Father will love him, and both of us will come in face-to-face fellowship with him; yes, we will make our special dwelling place with him.

John 15:1

1 "I am the real vine, and my Father is the cultivator.

John 15:1-5

1 "I am the real vine, and my Father is the cultivator. 2 He cuts away any branch on me that stops bearing fruit, and He repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more. 3 You are already pruned because of the teaching that I have given you. 4 You must remain in union with me and I will remain in union with you. Just as no branch by itself can bear fruit unless it remains united to the vine, so you cannot unless you remain in union with me. 5 I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in union with me and I in union with him will bear abundant fruit, because you cannot do anything cut off from union with me.

John 16:3

3 They will do this, because they have never come to know God nor me.

John 16:20

20 I most solemnly say to you, you will weep and wail, but the world will be glad; you will grieve but your grief will be turned into gladness.

John 16:23

23 At that time you will ask me no more questions. I most solemnly say to you, the Father will give you, as bearers of my name, whatever you ask Him for.

John 16:28

28 I did come from the Father and I have come into the world. Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father."

John 17:3

3 Now eternal life means knowing you as the only true God and knowing Jesus your messenger as Christ.

John 17:5

5 So now, Father, glorify me up there in your presence just as you did before the world existed. 6 "I have made your very self known to the men whom you have given me out of the world. At first they were yours, but now you have given them to me, and they have obeyed your message.

John 17:22

22 I have given them the glory which you gave me, so that they may be one, just as we are,

John 17:25

25 Righteous Father, although the world did not know you, I did know you, and these men have come to know that you sent me, 26 and I made known to them your very self, and I will make you known still further, so that the love which you have shown to me may be felt in them, and I in union with them."

John 18:4

4 Then Jesus, as He knew everything that was going to befall Him, came forward and asked them, "Who is it that you are looking for?" 5 They answered Him, "Jesus of Nazareth." He said to them, "I am He." And Judas who betrayed Him was standing among them.

John 18:7

7 So once more He asked them, "Who is it that you are looking for?" They said, "Jesus of Nazareth."

John 18:37

37 Then Pilate said to Him, "So you are a king then?" Jesus answered, "Certainly I am a king. For this very purpose I was born, for this very purpose I have come into the world, to testify for truth. Everybody who is a friend of truth listens to my voice."

John 19:7

7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and in accordance with that law He deserves to die, for claiming to be God's Son."

John 19:19

19 Pilate had a placard written and had it put over the cross: "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS."

John 19:19-22

19 Pilate had a placard written and had it put over the cross: "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS." 20 Many of the Jews read this placard, because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Hebrew, Latin, and Greek. 21 So the high priests of the Jews said to Pilate, "You must not write, 'The king of the Jews,' but write, 'He said, I am the king of the Jews.'" 22 Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written!"

John 20:15-16

15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?" Because she supposed it was the gardener, she said to Him, "If it was you, sir, who carried Him away, tell me where you put Him, and I will remove Him." 16 Jesus said to her, "Mary!" At once she turned and said to Him in Hebrew, "Rabboni!" which means Teacher.

John 20:28

28 Thomas answered Him, "My Lord and my God!"

John 20:28-29

28 Thomas answered Him, "My Lord and my God!" 29 Jesus said to him, "Is it because you have seen me, Thomas, that you believe? Blessed be those who believe, even though they have not seen me!"

John 20:29

29 Jesus said to him, "Is it because you have seen me, Thomas, that you believe? Blessed be those who believe, even though they have not seen me!"

John 20:31

31 But these have been recorded, in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that through believing you may have life, as bearers of His name.

John 21:2

2 Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathaniel of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two other disciples of Jesus, were all together.

John 21:15-17

15 After they had finished breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, are you more devoted to me than you are to these things?" Peter answered Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I tenderly love you." Jesus said to him, "Then feed my lambs." 16 Jesus again said to him a second time, "Simon, son of John, are you really devoted to me?" He said to Him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I tenderly love you." Jesus said to him, "Then be a shepherd to my sheep." 17 For the third time Jesus asked him, "Simon, son of John, do you really tenderly love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus the third time asked him, "Do you really tenderly love me?" So he answered Him, "Lord, you know everything; you know that I do tenderly love you." Jesus said to him, "Then feed my sheep. 18 I most solemnly say to you, when you were young, you used to put on your own belt and go where you pleased, but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will put a belt on you and you will go where you do not please to go."

Acts 1:13

13 When they reached the city, they went to the room upstairs where they had been staying; they were: Peter and John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, Simon the Zealot, and Judas the son of James.

4 and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak in foreign languages as the Spirit granted them to utter divine things.

Acts 3:6

6 But Peter said, "No silver or gold have I, but what I do have I will give you. In the name of Jesus of Nazareth start walking."

Acts 3:12-16

12 When Peter saw this, he said to the people, "Fellow Israelites, why are you so surprised at this? Why do you keep staring at us, as though we had by our own power or piety made this man walk? 13 The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our forefathers, has glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you yourselves betrayed and disowned before Pilate, although he had decided to set Him free. 14 Yes, you disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked a murderer to be pardoned as a favor to you, 15 and you killed the Prince of life, but God raised Him from the dead, to which fact we are witnesses. 16 It is His name, that is, on condition of faith in His name, that has made strong again this man whom you see and recognize -- yes, faith inspired by Him has given this man the perfect health you all see.

Acts 3:16-16

16 It is His name, that is, on condition of faith in His name, that has made strong again this man whom you see and recognize -- yes, faith inspired by Him has given this man the perfect health you all see.

Acts 3:25-26

25 And you are the descendants of the prophets and the heirs of the sacred compact which God made with your forefathers, when He said to Abraham: 'All the families of the earth are to be blessed through your posterity.' 26 It was to you first that He sent His Servant, after raising Him from the dead, to bless you by causing every one of you to turn from his wicked ways."

Acts 4:5-7

5 On the next day the leading members of the council, the elders, and the scribes, 6 met in Jerusalem, including Annas the high priest, Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and all that were members of the high priest's family. 7 They had the men stand before them and repeatedly inquired of them, "By what sort of power and authority have you done this?"

Acts 10:38

38 how God consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and then He went about doing good and curing all who were overpowered by the devil, because God was with Him.

Acts 10:44-47

44 While Peter was still speaking these truths, the Holy Spirit fell upon all who were listening to the message. 45 Then the Jewish believers who had gone along with Peter were astounded because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been showered upon the heathen too, 46 for they heard them speaking in foreign languages and telling of the greatness of God. Then Peter asked, 47 "No one can refuse the use of water, can he, for these to be baptized, since they have received the Holy Spirit just as we did ourselves?"

Acts 11:15-16

I am not the Christ; no, but He is coming after me, and I am not fit to untie the shoes on His feet.' 26 Brothers, descendants of the race of Abraham, and all among you who reverence God, it is to us that the message of this salvation has been sent.

Acts 13:32-33

32 So now we are bringing you the good news about the promise that was made to our forefathers, 33 that God has fulfilled it to us their children, by raising Jesus to life, just as the Scripture says in the Second Psalm, 'You are my Son, today I have become your Father.'

Acts 13:33-33

33 that God has fulfilled it to us their children, by raising Jesus to life, just as the Scripture says in the Second Psalm, 'You are my Son, today I have become your Father.' 34 Now as a proof that He has raised Him from the dead, no more to return to decay, He has spoken this, 'I will fulfill to you the holy promises made to David.' 35 Because in another psalm he says, 'You will not let your Holy One experience decay.' 36 For David, after having served God's purpose in his own generation, fell asleep and was laid among his forefathers, and so he did experience decay, 37 but He whom God raised to life did not experience it. 38 So, my brothers, you must understand that through Him the forgiveness of your sins is now proclaimed to you, 39 and that through union with Him every one of you who believes is given right standing with God and freed from every charge from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:39

39 and that through union with Him every one of you who believes is given right standing with God and freed from every charge from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses.

Acts 13:46

46 Then Paul and Barnabas courageously spoke out, "God's message had to be spoken to you Jews first, but since you continue to thrust it from you and since you show yourselves unworthy to receive eternal life, now and here we turn to the heathen.

Acts 14:17

17 though He did not fail to furnish evidences about Himself, in constantly showing His kindness to you, in sending you rain from heaven and fruit-producing seasons, in giving you food and happiness to your heart's content."

Acts 17:24-27

24 The God who made the world and all that it contains, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made by human hands, 25 nor is He served by human hands as though He were in need of anything, for He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 26 From one forefather He made every nation of mankind, for living all over the face of the earth, fixing their appointed times and the limits of their lands, 27 so that they might search for God, possibly they might grope for Him, and find Him, though He is really not far from any of us.

Acts 19:2-6

2 and asked them, "Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?" They answered him, "So far from that, we never even heard that there is a Holy Spirit." 3 He then asked, "With what sort of baptism then were you baptized?" They answered, "With John's baptism." 4 Then Paul said, "John baptized with a baptism that was an expression of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was to come after him; that is, in Jesus."

Acts 19:4-6

4 Then Paul said, "John baptized with a baptism that was an expression of repentance, telling the people to believe in Him who was to come after him; that is, in Jesus." 5 On hearing this they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus, 6 and when Paul laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they began to speak in foreign tongues and to prophesy.

Acts 22:8

8 I answered, 'Who are you, Sir?' He said to me, 'I am Jesus of Nazareth whom you are persecuting.'

Acts 23:8

8 For the Sadducees hold that there is no resurrection, and no such thing as an angel or spirit, but the Pharisees believe in all of them.

Acts 26:5

5 for they have known all along from the first, if they would but testify to it, that I as a Pharisee have lived by the standard of the strictest sect of our religion.

Acts 26:9

9 I myself, indeed, once thought it my duty to take extreme measures in hostility to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

Acts 26:23

23 if the Christ should suffer, and by being the first to rise from the dead was to proclaim the light to the Jewish people and to the heathen."

Acts 28:23

23 So they set a day for him, and came in large numbers to see him at the place where he was lodging, and from morning till night he continued to explain to them the kingdom of God, at the same time giving them his own testimony and trying from the law of Moses and the prophets to convince them about Jesus.

Acts 28:30-31

30 So Paul for two whole years lived in a rented house of his own; he continued to welcome everybody who came to see him; 31 yes, he continued to preach to them the kingdom of God, and to teach them about the Lord Jesus Christ, and that with perfect, unfettered freedom of speech.

Romans 1:3-4

3 about His Son, who on the physical side became a descendant of David, and on the holy, spiritual side 4 proved to be God's Son in power by the resurrection from the dead -- I mean, Jesus Christ, our Lord,

Romans 1:4

4 proved to be God's Son in power by the resurrection from the dead -- I mean, Jesus Christ, our Lord,

Romans 1:28

28 And so, as they did not approve of fully recognizing God any longer, God gave them up to minds that He did not approve, to practices that were improper;

Romans 2:28-29

28 For the real Jew is not the man who is a Jew on the outside, and real circumcision is not outward physical circumcision. 29 The real Jew is the man who is a Jew on the inside, and real circumcision is heart-circumcision, a spiritual, not a literal, affair. This man's praise originates, not with men, but with God.

Romans 3:19-26

19 Now we know that everything the law says is spoken to those who are under its authority, that every mouth may be stopped and the whole world be held responsible to God. 20 Because no human creature can be brought into right standing with God by observing the law. For all the law can do is to make men conscious of sin. 21 But now God's way of giving men right standing with Himself has come to light; a way without connection with the law, and yet a way to which the law and the prophets testify. 22 God's own way of giving men right standing with Himself is through faith in Jesus Christ. It is for everybody who has faith, for no distinction at all is made. 23 For everybody has sinned and everybody continues to come short of God's glory, 24 but anybody may have right standing with God as a free gift of His undeserved favor, through the ransom provided in Christ Jesus. 25 For God once publicly offered Him in His death as a sacrifice of reconciliation through faith, to demonstrate His own justice (for in His forbearance God had passed over men's former sins); 26 yes, to demonstrate His justice at the present time, to prove that He is right Himself, and that He considers right with Himself the man who has faith in Jesus.

Romans 5:2

2 by whom we have an introduction through faith into this state of God's favor, in which we safely stand; and let us continue exulting in the hope of enjoying the glorious presence of God.

Romans 5:17

17 For if by one man's offense death reigned through that one, to a much greater degree will those who continue to receive the overflow of His unmerited favor and His gift of right standing with Himself, reign in real life through One, Jesus Christ.

Romans 5:20

20 Then law crept in to multiply the offense. Though sin has multiplied, yet God's favor has surpassed it and overflowed,

Romans 5:20-21

20 Then law crept in to multiply the offense. Though sin has multiplied, yet God's favor has surpassed it and overflowed, 21 so that just as sin had reigned by death, so His favor too might reign in right standing with God which issues in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:14

14 For sin must not any longer exert its mastery over you, for now you are not living as slaves to law but as subjects to God's favor.

Romans 8:3

3 For though the law could not do it, because it was made helpless through our lower nature, yet God, by sending His own Son in a body similar to that of our lower nature, and as a sacrifice for sin, passed sentence upon sin through His body,

Romans 8:9

9 But you are not living on the plane of the lower nature, but on the spiritual plane, if the Spirit of God has His home within you. Unless a man has the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.

Romans 8:14

14 For all who are guided by God's Spirit are God's sons.

Romans 9:1

1 I am telling the truth as a Christian man. I am telling no lie, because my conscience enlightened by the Holy Spirit is bearing me witness to this fact,

Romans 9:1-5

1 I am telling the truth as a Christian man. I am telling no lie, because my conscience enlightened by the Holy Spirit is bearing me witness to this fact, 2 that I have deep grief and constant anguish in my heart; 3 for I could wish myself accursed, even cut off from Christ, for the sake of my brothers, my natural kinsmen. 4 For they are Israelites; to them belong the privileges of sonship, God's glorious presence, the special covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, the promises,

Romans 9:4

4 For they are Israelites; to them belong the privileges of sonship, God's glorious presence, the special covenants, the giving of the law, the temple service, the promises, 5 the patriarchs, and from them by natural descent the Christ has come, who is exalted over all, God blessed forever. Amen!

Romans 9:5-5

5 the patriarchs, and from them by natural descent the Christ has come, who is exalted over all, God blessed forever. Amen! 6 But it is not that God's word has failed. For not everybody that is descended from Israel really belongs to Israel, 7 nor are they all children of Abraham, because they are his descendants, but the promise was "In the line of Isaac your descendants will I be counted." 8 That is, it is not Abraham's natural descendants who are God's children, but those who are made children by the promise are counted his true descendants. 9 For this is the language of the promise, "About this time next year I will come back, and Sarah will have a son." 10 Not only that but this too: There was Rebecca who was impregnated by our forefather Isaac. 11 For even before the twin sons were born, and though they had done nothing either good or bad, that God's purpose in accordance with His choice might continue to stand, conditioned not on men's actions but on God's calling them, 12 she was told, "The elder will be a slave to the younger." 13 As the Scripture says, "Jacob I have loved, but Esau I have hated." 14 What are we then to conclude? It is not that there is injustice in God, is it? Of course not! 15 For He says to Moses, "I will have mercy on any man that I choose to have mercy on, and take pity on any man that I choose to take pity on." 16 So one's destiny does not depend on his own willing or strenuous actions but on God's having mercy on him.

Romans 10:1-3

1 Brothers, my heart's good will goes out for them, and my prayer to God is that they may be saved. 2 For I can testify that they are zealous for God, but they are not intelligently so. 3 For they were ignorant of God's way of right standing and were trying to set up one of their own, and so would not surrender to God's way of right standing.

Romans 10:17

17 So faith comes from hearing what is told, and hearing through the message about Christ.

Romans 15:8

8 Yes, I mean that Christ has become a servant to Israel to prove God's truthfulness, to make valid His promises to our forefathers,

Romans 15:8-12

8 Yes, I mean that Christ has become a servant to Israel to prove God's truthfulness, to make valid His promises to our forefathers, 9 and for the heathen peoples to praise God for His mercy, as the Scripture says: "For this I will give thanks to you among the heathen, and will sing praises to your name." 10 And again: "Rejoice, you heathen peoples, with His people!" 11 And again: "All you heathen peoples, praise the Lord, yea, let all peoples sing His praise." 12 And again Isaiah says: "The noted Son of Jesse will come, even He who rises to rule the heathen; on Him the heathen will set their hope."

1 Corinthians 1:4-5

4 I am always thanking God for you, for the spiritual blessing given you by God through union with Christ Jesus; 5 because you have in everything been richly blessed through union with Him, with perfect expression and fullness of knowledge.

1 Corinthians 1:12

12 I mean this, that one of you says, "I belong to Paul's party," another, "And I belong to Apollos' party," another, "And I belong to Cephas' party," another, "And I belong to Christ's party."

1 Corinthians 1:21

21 For since in accordance with the wisdom of God the world had never in reality, by means of its wisdom, come to know God, God chose through the nonsense of the message proclaimed, to save the people who put their faith in Him.

1 Corinthians 2:8

8 Not one of this world's leaders understands it, for if they had, they would never have crucified our glorious Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:14

14 An unspiritual man does not accept the things that the Spirit of God teaches, for they are nonsense to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are appreciated by spiritual insight.

1 Corinthians 3:6

6 I did the planting, Apollos did the watering, but it was God who kept the plants growing.

1 Corinthians 3:22

22 (46:21) Paul, Apollos, Cephas, the world, life, death, the present, the future -- they all belong to you.

1 Corinthians 4:5

5 So you must stop forming any premature judgments, but wait until the Lord shall come again, for He will bring to light the secrets hidden in the dark and will make known the motives of men's hearts, and the proper praise will be awarded each of us.

1 Corinthians 8:6

6 yet for us there is but one God, the Father, who is the source of all things and the goal of our living, and but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom everything was made and through whom we live.

1 Corinthians 9:5

5 It cannot be that we have no right to take a Christian wife about with us, can it, as well as the rest of the apostles and the Lord's brothers, and Cephas?

1 Corinthians 12:13

13 For by one Spirit all of us, Jews or Greeks, slaves or freemen, have been baptized into one body, and were all imbued with one Spirit.

1 Corinthians 14:25

25 the secrets of his heart are laid bare, he falls upon his face and worships God, declaring, "God is really among you."

1 Corinthians 15:3

3 For I passed on to you, among the primary principles of the good news, what I had received, that Christ died for our sins, in accordance with the Scriptures,

1 Corinthians 15:5

5 and that He was seen by Cephas, and then by the Twelve.

1 Corinthians 15:45

45 This is the way the Scripture puts it too, "The first man Adam became a living creature." The last Adam has become a life-giving Spirit.

1 Corinthians 15:47

47 The first man was made of the dust of the earth; the second Man is from heaven.

2 Corinthians 1:19

19 For God's Son, Christ Jesus, who was preached among you by us, Silvanus, Timothy, and me, did not become a "Yes" that might mean "No." 20 But with Him it is always "Yes," for, as many as the promises of God may be, through Him they are always "Yes." This is why our "Amen" through Him is for the glory of God when spoken by us.

2 Corinthians 3:7-10

7 Now if the old religious service which resulted in death, although its law was carved in letters of stone, was introduced with a splendor so great that the Israelites could not keep their eyes fixed on Moses' face because of the splendor that was fading from it, 8 why should not this spiritual service be attended with much greater splendor? 9 For if the service connected with condemnation had such splendor, the service resulting in right standing with God will surely far surpass it in splendor. 10 For on account of its surpassing splendor, what was once so splendid has now no splendor at all.

2 Corinthians 4:4-6

4 In their case, the god of this world has blinded the eyes of the unbelievers, to keep the glorious light of the good news of Christ, who is the likeness of God, from dawning upon them. 5 For I am not proclaiming myself but Christ Jesus as Lord, and myself a slave of yours for Jesus' sake. 6 For God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in my heart, to give me the light of the knowledge of God's glory, reflected on the face of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:21

21 He made Him who personally knew nothing of sin to be a sin-offering for us, so that through union with Him we might come into right standing with God.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18

17 Therefore: "'Come out of company with them, and separate from them,' the Lord has said, 'And stop touching what is unclean; then I will welcome you, 18 I will be a Father to you, and you will be sons and daughters of mine,' The Lord Almighty said."

2 Corinthians 12:9

9 but He said to me, "My spiritual strength is sufficient, for it is only by means of conscious weakness that perfect power is developed."

Galatians 1:4

4 who gave Himself for our sins, to save us from the present wicked world in accordance with the will of our God and Father;

Galatians 2:9

9 and because they recognized the favor God had shown me, James, Cephas, and John, the so-called pillar apostles, gave Barnabas and me the right hand of fellowship, with the understanding that we should go to the heathen and they to the Jews.

Galatians 3:10-13

10 For those who depend on what the law commands are under a curse, for the Scripture says, "Cursed be everyone who does not continue in all the commands that are written in the book of the law, to do them." 11 Now it is evident that through the law no man is brought into right standing with God, for "The man in right standing with God will live by faith," 12 and the law has nothing to do with faith, but it says, "It is the man who does these things that will live by doing them." 13 Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us -- for the Scripture says, "Cursed be everyone who is hanged on a tree" --

Galatians 3:13

13 Christ ransomed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us -- for the Scripture says, "Cursed be everyone who is hanged on a tree" --

Galatians 3:17

17 I mean this: The law which was given four hundred and thirty years later could not annul the contract which had already been ratified by God, so as to cancel the promise.

Galatians 3:26

26 For all of you are sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

Galatians 4:4

4 but when the proper time had come, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born subject to law,

Galatians 4:6

6 And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba," that is, "Father."

Ephesians 1:6-8

6 so that we might praise the splendid favor which He has shown us in His beloved Son. 7 It is through union with Him that we have redemption by His blood and the forgiveness of our shortcomings, in accordance with the generosity of His unmerited favor 8 which He lavished upon us. Through perfect wisdom and spiritual insight

Ephesians 1:23

23 which is His body, that is being filled by Him who fills everything everywhere.

Ephesians 2:5-10

5 has made us, though dead because of our shortcomings, live again in fellowship with Christ -- it is by His unmerited favor that you have been saved. 6 And He raised us with Him and through union with Christ Jesus He made us sit down with Him in the heavenly realm, 7 to show, throughout the coming ages, the boundless generosity of His unmerited favor shown us in His goodness to us through Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by His unmerited favor through faith that you have been saved; it is not by anything that you have done, it is the gift of God. 9 It is not the result of what anyone can do, so that no one can boast of it. 10 For He has made us what we are, because He has created us through our union with Christ Jesus for doing good deeds which He beforehand planned for us to do.

Ephesians 3:8

8 yes, on me, the very least of all His people, this unmerited favor was bestowed -- that I might preach as good news to the heathen the boundless riches of Christ, 9 and to make clear how is to be carried out the trusteeship of this secret which has for ages been hidden away in God, the Creator of all things,

Ephesians 3:18-19

18 so that you with all God's people may be strong enough to grasp the idea of the breadth and length, the height and depth, 19 yes, to come at last to know the love of Christ, although it far surpasses human understanding, so that you may be filled with the perfect fullness of God.

Ephesians 3:19

19 yes, to come at last to know the love of Christ, although it far surpasses human understanding, so that you may be filled with the perfect fullness of God.

Ephesians 4:7-13

7 But in accordance with the measure of Christ's gift, His favor has been bestowed upon each one of us. 8 Concerning this the Scripture says: "He led a host of captives, when He went up on high, and granted gifts to men." 9 What does "He went up" mean, except that He had first gone down into the lower regions of the earth? 10 The very One that went down has gone up, too, far above all the heavens, to fill the universe. 11 And He has given some men to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, some to be pastors and teachers, 12 for the immediate equipment of God's people for the work of service, for the ultimate building up of the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to unity in faith and to perfect knowledge of the Son of God, namely, to a mature manhood and to a perfect measure of Christ's moral stature;

Ephesians 4:29

29 You must stop letting any bad word pass your lips, but only words that are good for building up as the occasion demands, so that they will result in spiritual blessing to the hearers.

Ephesians 5:14

14 So it is said: "Wake up, sleeper; get up from the dead, and Christ will make day dawn on you."

Philippians 2:6

6 Though He was existing in the nature of God, He did not think His being on an equality with God a thing to be selfishly grasped,

Philippians 2:6-8

6 Though He was existing in the nature of God, He did not think His being on an equality with God a thing to be selfishly grasped,

Philippians 2:6-7

6 Though He was existing in the nature of God, He did not think His being on an equality with God a thing to be selfishly grasped, 7 but He laid it aside as He took on the nature of a slave and became like other men.

Philippians 2:7-7

7 but He laid it aside as He took on the nature of a slave and became like other men. 8 Because He was recognized as a man, in reality as well as in outward form, He finally humiliated Himself in obedience so as to die, even to die on a cross.

Philippians 2:13

13 for it is God Himself who is at work in you to help you desire it as well as do it.

Philippians 3:3

3 For we are the true circumcision, who by the Spirit of God worship Him, who take pride in Christ Jesus only, and do not rely on outward privileges,

Philippians 3:5-6

5 circumcised when I was a week old; a descendant of Israel; a member of the tribe of Benjamin; a Hebrew, a son of Hebrews. Measured by the law, I was a Pharisee; 6 by the standard set by zeal, I was a persecutor of the church, and measured by the uprightness reached by keeping the law, I was faultless.

Philippians 3:12

12 It is not a fact that I have already secured it or already reached perfection, but I am pressing on to see if I can capture it, the ideal for which I was captured by Christ Jesus.

Colossians 1:15

15 Yes, He is the exact likeness of the unseen God, His first-born Son who existed before any created thing, 16 for it was through Him that everything was created in heaven and on earth, the seen and the unseen, thrones, dominions, principalities, authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17 So He existed before all things, and through Him all things are held together.

Colossians 1:17-17

17 So He existed before all things, and through Him all things are held together.

Colossians 1:19

19 It is so because it was the divine choice that all the divine fullness should dwell in Him,

Colossians 2:3

3 in whom all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are stored up.

Colossians 2:6

6 So, just as you once accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue living in vital union with Him,

Colossians 2:9

9 For it is in Him that all the fullness of Deity continues to live embodied,

Colossians 2:9-10

9 For it is in Him that all the fullness of Deity continues to live embodied, 10 and through union with Him you too are filled with it. He is the Head of all principalities and dominions.

Colossians 3:4

4 When Christ, who is our life, appears, you too will appear to be glorified in fellowship with Him.

1 Thessalonians 5:4-7

4 But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that that day, like a thief, should take you by surprise; 5 for you are all sons of the light and sons of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness. 6 So let us stop sleeping as others do, but let us stay awake and keep sober. 7 For those who sleep at night and those who get drunk are drunken at night,

1 Thessalonians 5:21

21 but continue to prove all things until you can approve them, and then hold on to what is good.

2 Thessalonians 1:7

7 and to give rest to you who are being crushed with sorrows, along with us, at the unveiling of our Lord Jesus Christ from heaven, with His mighty angels

2 Thessalonians 1:9

9 These will receive the punishment of eternal destruction as exiles from the presence of the Lord and His glorious might,

1 Timothy 1:14-16

14 and the spiritual blessing of our Lord in increasing floods has come upon me, accompanied by faith and love inspired by union with Christ Jesus. 15 It is a saying to be trusted and deserves our fullest acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; and I am the foremost of them. 16 Yet, mercy was shown me for the very purpose that in my case as the foremost of sinners Jesus might display His perfect patience, to make me an example to those who in the future might believe on Him to obtain eternal life. 17 To the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever! Amen.

1 Timothy 2:4

4 who is ever willing for all mankind to be saved and to come to an increasing knowledge of the truth.

1 Timothy 2:6

6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, a fact that was testified to at the proper time,

1 Timothy 3:16

16 Undoubtedly the mystery of our religion is a great wonder: "He was made visible in human form; He was vindicated by the Spirit; He was seen by angels; He was proclaimed among the heathen; He was trusted in throughout the world; He was taken up to glory."

1 Timothy 6:16

16 who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

Titus 2:11

11 For God's favor has appeared with its offer of salvation to all mankind,

Titus 2:13

13 while we are waiting for the realization of our blessed hope at the glorious appearing of our great God and Saviour Christ Jesus, 14 who gave Himself for us to ransom us from all iniquity and purify for Himself a people to be His very own, zealous of good works.

Titus 3:5

5 He saved us, not for upright deeds that we had done, but in accordance with His mercy, through the bath of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit,

Titus 3:5-6

5 He saved us, not for upright deeds that we had done, but in accordance with His mercy, through the bath of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, 6 which He abundantly poured out upon us through Jesus Christ our Saviour,

Hebrews 1:1-2

1 It was bit by bit and in many different ways that God in olden times spoke to our forefathers through the prophets, 2 but in these latter days He has spoken to us through a Son, whom He had appointed lawful owner of everything, and through whom He had made the worlds.

Hebrews 1:2-2

2 but in these latter days He has spoken to us through a Son, whom He had appointed lawful owner of everything, and through whom He had made the worlds. 3 He is the reflection of God's glory and the perfect representation of His being, and continues to uphold the universe by His mighty word. After He had procured man's purification from sins, He took His seat at the right hand of God's majesty,

Hebrews 1:3

3 He is the reflection of God's glory and the perfect representation of His being, and continues to uphold the universe by His mighty word. After He had procured man's purification from sins, He took His seat at the right hand of God's majesty,

Hebrews 1:5

5 For to what angel did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have become your Father"?

Hebrews 1:5-6

5 For to what angel did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have become your Father"? 6 Or again, "I will become His Father, and He shall become my Son"? But when He brings again His first-born Son into the world, He says, "And let all the angels worship Him."

Hebrews 1:8-13

8 But regarding the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, will stand forever and ever; a righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom.

Hebrews 1:8-9

8 But regarding the Son He says: "Your throne, O God, will stand forever and ever; a righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom. 9 You loved the right and hated wrong; so God, your God, anointed you, with oil of exultation beyond all your companions."

Hebrews 1:9-9

9 You loved the right and hated wrong; so God, your God, anointed you, with oil of exultation beyond all your companions." 10 And: "You, Lord, in the beginning founded the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands.

10 And: "You, Lord, in the beginning founded the earth, and the heavens are the works of your hands. 11 They will perish, but you always remain; they all will grow old like a coat,

Hebrews 1:11-12

11 They will perish, but you always remain; they all will grow old like a coat, 12 And you will fold them up just like a robe, and they will be changed like the changing of one's coat, but you are the same, and your years will never cease."

Hebrews 1:12-12

12 And you will fold them up just like a robe, and they will be changed like the changing of one's coat, but you are the same, and your years will never cease." 13 But to what angel did He ever say: "Just keep your seat at my right hand, until I make your foes a footstool for your feet"? 14 Are not the angels all attending spirits sent forth to serve for the sake of those who are going to be unceasing possessors of salvation?

Hebrews 2:11

11 For both He who is purifying them and those who are being purified all spring from one Father; so He is not ashamed to call them brothers,

Hebrews 2:14-17

14 Since then the children mentioned share our mortal nature, He too took on Himself a full share of the same, in order that He by His death might put a stop to the power of him who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and set at liberty those who all their lifetime had been subject to slavery because of their dread of death. 16 For of course it is not angels but descendants of Abraham that He is to help. 17 Therefore He had to be made like His brothers, so that He could be a sympathetic High Priest, as well as a faithful one, in things relating to God, in order to atone for the people's sins.

Hebrews 2:17

17 Therefore He had to be made like His brothers, so that He could be a sympathetic High Priest, as well as a faithful one, in things relating to God, in order to atone for the people's sins.

Hebrews 3:3-4

3 For just as the man who builds a house has greater glory than the house, by just so much is Jesus judged to be worthy of greater glory than Moses. 4 For every house is built by somebody, but the builder and furnisher of the universe is God. 5 Now Moses was faithful in all the house of God, yet only as a servant to bear witness to the message that should be spoken, 6 but Christ as a Son set over the house of God was faithful; and we are that house, if we keep up our courage and the joy that hope inspires to the very end.

Hebrews 5:5

5 So Christ too did not take upon Himself the glory of being appointed High Priest, but it was God who said: "You are my Son; I have today become your Father,"

Hebrews 7:3

3 with no father, no mother, no ancestry; no beginning to his days, no end to his life, but, like the Son of God, as priest continues on and on with no successor.

Hebrews 8:8-12

8 For, because He was dissatisfied with His people, He said: "'See; the time is coming,' says the Lord, 'When I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 9 Unlike the one that I made with their forefathers the day I took them by the hand to lead them out from the land of Egypt, for they did not abide by their covenant with me, so I did not care for them,' says the Lord. 10 'For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel in those days,' says the Lord; 'I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they will be my people. And nevermore will each one need to teach his fellow-citizen, 11 And each one teach his brother, saying, "Know the Lord," For all will know me, from the lowest to the highest. 12 For I will be merciful to their deeds of wrong, and never, never any more will I recall their sins,'"

Hebrews 9:22

22 In fact, under the law, almost everything is purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood no forgiveness is granted.

Hebrews 9:28

28 so Christ was offered once for all to take away the sins of many, but again He will appear, without having anything to do with sin, to save those who are eagerly waiting for Him to bring them final salvation.

Hebrews 10:4-10

4 for the blood of bulls and goats is unable to take away sins. 5 So, when Christ was coming into the world, He said:

Hebrews 10:5-10

5 So, when Christ was coming into the world, He said: 6 "Sacrifice and offering you did not wish, but a body you have prepared for me; in burnt-offerings and sin-offerings you never took delight. 7 Then I said, 'See, I have come, just as the Scripture writes about me in the book, O God, to do your will.'" 8 Although at first He said, "You never wished or took delight in sacrifices and offerings, burnt-offerings and sin-offerings" -- all of which are repeatedly offered in accordance with the law -- 9 He afterward said, "See, I have come to do your will." He is taking away the first to let the second take its place. 10 It is by this will of God that we are consecrated through the offering of Jesus' body once for all.

Hebrews 11:3

3 By faith we understand that the worlds were created, beautifully coordinated, and now exist, at God's command; so the things that we see did not develop out of mere matter.

Hebrews 11:39-40

39 Though all these people by their faith won God's approval, yet none of them received what He had promised, 40 for God had provided something still better for us, that they, apart from us might not attain perfection.

Hebrews 12:2

2 keeping our eyes on Jesus, the perfect leader and example of faith, who, instead of the joy which lay before Him, endured the cross with no regard for its shame, and since has taken His seat at the right hand of the throne of God.

Hebrews 13:8

8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today, yes, forever.

James 1:18

18 In accordance with His will He made us His children by the message of truth, that we might be a kind of first fruits among His creatures.

1 Peter 1:2

2 the people chosen in accordance with the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the consecration of the Spirit, to obey Jesus Christ and to be sprinkled with His blood: spiritual blessing and peace to you in increasing abundance. 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In accordance with His great mercy He has begotten us anew to an ever living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead;

1 Peter 1:11

11 earnestly trying to find out the time, and the nature of the times, which the Spirit of the Christ within them pointed to, in foretelling the sufferings of the Christ and the glory that should follow them.

1 Peter 1:19

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without a blemish or a blot,

1 Peter 1:19-20

19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without a blemish or a blot, 20 who was foreordained for it before the foundation of the world but was brought out to public view at the end of the ages, for the sake of you

1 Peter 1:23

23 because you have been born anew, not from a germ that perishes but from one that does not perish, by the word of the living and everlasting God.

1 Peter 2:1

1 So once for all get rid of all malice, deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all sorts of slander, 2 and like new-born babies thirst for pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up to final salvation,

1 Peter 2:4-7

4 Keep on coming to Him, as to a living stone, rejected by men but chosen by God and precious in His sight, 5 and keep on building yourselves up, as living stones, into a spiritual house for a consecrated priesthood, to offer up, through Jesus Christ, spiritual sacrifices that will be acceptable to God. 6 It must be so, because the Scriptures say: "Here now I lay in Zion a chosen stone, a costly cornerstone, And not a single one who puts his trust in Him will ever be put to shame." 7 So to you who put your trust in Him the honor belongs, but to those who fail to trust Him: "That stone which then the builders threw away Has now become the cornerstone,"

1 Peter 2:22

22 He never committed a sin, and deceit was never found on His lips.

1 Peter 2:24

24 He bore our sins in His own body on the cross, that we might die to sin and live to uprightness. By His wounds you have been healed,

1 Peter 3:18

18 For Christ Himself, once for all, died for our sins, the Innocent for the guilty to bring us to God, being put to death in physical form but made alive in the Spirit,

2 Peter 1:1

1 Simon Peter, a slave and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who through the righteousness of our God and Saviour Jesus Christ have obtained the same precious faith that we have:

2 Peter 1:4

4 It is through these that He has given us His precious and glorious promises, so that through them, after you have escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of evil desires, you may come to share in the divine nature.

2 Peter 1:16-17

16 For it was not mere stories of fancy that we followed when we told you of the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we had been eyewitnesses of His majesty. 17 For when He received such honor and glory from God the Father, when from the majestic glory there was borne to Him a voice like this, "This is my Son, my Beloved, in whom I take delight,"

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, in the sense in which some think of slowness, but He is really dealing patiently with you, because He is not willing for any to perish but for all to have an opportunity to repent?

1 John 1:1-2

1 It is what existed from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our own eyes, what we have beheld, what our own hands have touched, about the very message of life -- 2 and that life has been unveiled to us, and we have seen it and now testify to it and we now announce it to you, yea, the eternal life that was with the Father and has been unveiled to us.

1 John 1:2

2 and that life has been unveiled to us, and we have seen it and now testify to it and we now announce it to you, yea, the eternal life that was with the Father and has been unveiled to us. 3 I repeat, it is what we have seen and heard that we now announce to you, so that you too may share this fellowship with us, for this fellowship that we have is with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ;

1 John 1:5-7

5 And this is the message that we have heard from Him and now announce to you: God is light, and there is no darkness at all in Him. 6 If we say "We have fellowship with Him," and yet live in darkness, we are lying and not practicing the truth. 7 But if we continue to live in the light, just as He is in the light, we have unbroken fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son continues to cleanse us from every sin. 8 If we claim "We are already free from sin," we are deceiving ourselves and the truth is not in our hearts.

1 John 2:2

2 And He is Himself the atoning sacrifice for our sins; and not for ours alone, but also for the whole world.

1 John 2:8

8 Yet it is a new command that I am writing you; it is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

1 John 2:23

23 No one who disowns the Son can have the Father. Whoever owns the Son has the Father too.

1 John 2:28-29

28 And now, dear children, I repeat, you must continue to live in union with Him, so that if He is unveiled, we may have unshaken confidence and not shrink away from Him in shame when He comes. 29 If you know that He is upright, you must know that everyone who practices uprightness is born of Him.

1 John 3:1

1 See what wonderful love the Father has bestowed on us in letting us be called God's children, and that is what we are! This is why the world does not know what we are, because it has never come to know Him.

1 John 3:5

5 You know that He appeared to take our sins away, and that there is no sin in Him.

1 John 3:8

8 Whoever practices sin belongs to the devil, because the devil has practiced sin from the beginning. This is why the Son of God appeared, to undo the devil's works. 9 No one who is born of God makes a practice of sinning, because the God-given life-principle continues to live in him, and so he cannot practice sinning, because he is born of God.

1 John 3:23

23 His command is this, that we should believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ and practice loving one another, just as He commanded us to do.

1 John 4:2-3

2 In this way you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spiritual utterance which owns that Jesus Christ has come in human form comes from God, 3 and no spiritual utterance which disowns Jesus can come from God; it is the utterance of Antichrist. You have heard that it is coming, and right now it is already in the world.

1 John 4:7

7 Dearly beloved, let us practice loving one another, because love originates with God, and everyone who practices loving is a child of God and knows God by experience.

1 John 4:9

9 This is the way God's love for us has been shown, namely, God has sent His only Son into the world that we through Him might have life. 10 In this way is seen the true love, not that we loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:12

12 No one has ever seen God; yet if we practice loving one another, God remains in union with us, and our love for Him attains perfection in our hearts,

1 John 4:14

14 We have seen and now testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world.

1 John 4:14-15

14 We have seen and now testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world. 15 Whoever owns that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in union with him and he in union with God.

1 John 4:19

19 We love, because He loved us first. 20 If anyone says, "I love God," and yet habitually hates his brother, he is a liar; for whoever does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen.

1 John 5:1

1 Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ is born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves His child.

1 John 5:4

4 for every child of God continues to conquer the world. Our faith is the victory that has conquered the world.

1 John 5:7

7 Omitted Text.

1 John 5:9-13

9 If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is stronger still; because this is the testimony that God has borne to His Son. 10 Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his own heart. Whoever does not believe God has made Him a liar, because he has not believed the testimony that God has borne to His Son. 11 And this testimony is that God has given us eternal life, and this life is given through union with His Son.

1 John 5:11-13

11 And this testimony is that God has given us eternal life, and this life is given through union with His Son. 12 Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son does not have life. 13 I have written this to you who believe in the person of the Son of God, so that you may know that you already have eternal life.

1 John 5:18

18 We know that no one who is born of God makes a practice of sinning, but the Son who was born of God continues to keep him, and the evil one cannot touch him.

1 John 5:20

20 And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us insight to recognize the True One; and we are in union with the True One through His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

2 John 1:7

7 For many impostors have gone out into the world, men who do not own that Jesus Christ continues to come in human form. A person like this is the impostor and the Antichrist.

2 John 1:9

9 No one has God, who goes too far and fails to stay by the teaching of Christ. Whoever stays by this teaching has the Father and the Son.

Jude 1:14

14 It was about such men also that Enoch, the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied when he said: "See! The Lord comes with myriads of His people

Revelation 5:6

6 Then I saw, midway between the throne and the four living creatures, standing among the elders, a Lamb that looked as though He had been slaughtered. He had seven horns and seven eyes; the latter are the seven spirits of God which are sent on duty to every portion of the earth.

Revelation 5:8-10

8 When He took it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each with a harp, and golden bowls that were full of incense, which represent the prayers of God's people.

Revelation 5:8

8 When He took it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each with a harp, and golden bowls that were full of incense, which represent the prayers of God's people. 9 Then they sang a new song: "You deserve to take the book and break its seals, because you have been slaughtered, and with your blood have bought men from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation, 10 and have made them a kingdom of priests for our God; and they will rule over the earth."

Revelation 5:12-13

12 saying in a loud voice: "The Lamb that was slaughtered deserves to receive power, riches, wisdom, might, honor, glory, and blessing." 13 Then I heard every creature in heaven, on earth, underneath the earth, and on the sea, and all that they contain, say: "Blessing, honor, glory, and power be to Him who is seated on the throne and to the Lamb forever."

Revelation 6:1

Revelation 7:10-10

10 and they cried in a loud voice: "Our salvation is due to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb." 11 Then all the angels stood around the throne, the elders, and the four living creatures, and fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God, 12 saying: "Amen! Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honor, power, and strength be to our God forever and ever. Amen!" 13 Then one of the elders addressed me and said, "Who are these people clothed in white robes, and where did they come from?" 14 I answered him, "You know, my lord." He said to me: "These are the people who are coming through the great persecution, who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Revelation 7:14

14 I answered him, "You know, my lord." He said to me: "These are the people who are coming through the great persecution, who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 This is why they are before the throne of God, and day and night serve Him in His temple, and He who is seated on His throne will shelter them in His tent. 16 They will never again be hungry or thirsty, and never again will the sun strike them, or any scorching heat, 17 because the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes."

Revelation 7:17

17 because the Lamb who is in the center of the throne will be their Shepherd, and God will wipe every tear from their eyes."
