¹ These things have I spoken that ye should not be offended. ² They shall put you out of the synagogues: But the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth God service. ³ And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. ⁴ These things have I told you, that when the hour shall come, ye may remember them that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you. ⁵ But now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? ⁶ But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. ⁷ But I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. ⁸ And when he is come, he will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgement: ⁹ Of sin indeed, because the believe not on me; ¹⁰ And of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more; ¹¹ And of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. ¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. ¹³ When he, the Spirit of truth shall come, he will guide you in all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, he will speak: and he will tell you things to come. ¹⁴ He will glorifie me, for he shall receive of mine and will shew it unto you. ¹⁵ All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore said I, that he taketh of mine, and shall tell it unto you. ¹⁶ A little while and ye shall see me no longer; and again, in a little while, and ye shall see me, [Because I go to the Father]. ¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while and ye shall see me no longer: and again, a little while and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? ¹⁸ What is this? A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. ¹⁹ Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him about this Matter, and said unto them, Do you enquire among your selves about what I said, A little while and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while and ye shall see me? ²⁰ Verily, verily I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament; The world shall rejoyce. Ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. ²¹ A woman when she is in travail, hath sorrow, because her day is come: but assoon as she has brought forth the child, she remembreth no more the sorrow, for joy that a man is born into the world. ²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you. ²³ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing: Verily, verily I say unto you, If ye shall ask the Father any thing in my name, he will give [it] you. ²⁴ Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. ²⁵ These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs, The hour cometh when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall tell you plainly of the Father. ²⁶ In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will ask my Father concerning you: ²⁷ For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from the Father. ²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. ²⁹ His disciples say unto him, lo, now thou speakest plainly, and speakest no proverb. ³⁰ Now we know that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any one should ask thee; by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. ³¹ He answered them, Do ye now believe? ³² Behold the hour cometh, yea, is come, that ye shall be scattered, every one to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. ³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

⁶ And blessed is he whosoever shall not be scandalized at me.

²¹ Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, presently he is offended.

⁵⁷ And they were scandalized at him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in [his] own country, and in his own house.

¹⁰ And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.

³¹ Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye will be Scandalized because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered abroad. ³² But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee. ³³ Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be scandalized because of thee, I will never be scandalized.

¹¹ But these things have I spoken unto you, that my joy in you might remain, and your joy might be full.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first, ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: Because ye were not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. ²⁰ Remember the words that I said unto you, my servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my saying, they will observe yours also. ²¹ But these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not him that sent me. ²² If I had not come, and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. ²³ He that hateth me, hateth my Father also. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no one else had done, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen me, and hated me and my Father. ²⁵ But that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, that They hated me without a cause. ²⁶ But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send unto you from my Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from my Father, he will testifie of me. ²⁷ And bear ye witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning.

⁴ These things have I told you, that when the hour shall come, ye may remember them that I told you. And these things I said not unto you from the beginning, because I was with you.

²¹ [It is] good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine nor that whereby thy brother stumbleth, or is scandalized, or is made weak.

¹⁰ That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere, and without offence till the day of Christ;

⁸ And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, who stumble at the word, being disobedient, whereunto also they were appointed.

²⁸ And fear not them who kill the body, but are nor able to kill the soul: but rather fear him who is able to destroy both soul and body in Gehenna.

⁹ Then shall they deliver you to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my names sake.

²² Blessed are ye when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate [you,] and shall reproach [you,] and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of mans sake.

²¹ Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem worship the Father.

²² These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any one should confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.

³⁴ They answered him, and said, Thou wast altogether born in sins, and dost thou teach us? An they cast him out.

⁴² Nevertheless among the chief rulers also, many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess [him], lest they should be put out of the synagogue.

³³ When they heard [that,] they were cut, and took counsel to slay them.

¹³ And set up false witnesses against him, who said, This Man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place, and the law. ¹⁴ For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered us.

⁵⁶ And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.

¹ And Saul yet breathing out threatnings and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went unto the high priest, ² And desired of him letters to Damascus to the synagogues, that if he should find any of this way, whether they were men or women, he might bring them bound unto Jerusalem.

³ I am a man who am a Jew, born in Tarsus, of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, at the feet of Gamaliel, taught according to the perfect manner of the law of the fathers, being zealous towards God, as ye all are this day. ⁴ And I persecuted this way unto death, binding and delivering unto prison both men and women.

¹⁹ And I said, Lord, they know that I imprisoned, and beat in the synagogues them that believed on thee. ²⁰ And when the blood of thy martyr Stephen was shed, I was standing by, and consenting, and kept the raiment of them that slew him. ²¹ And he said unto me, Depart: for I send thee far unto the Gentiles. ²² And they hearkened as far as this word, and lift up their voice, and said, Take away such an one from the earth: for it is not fit he should live. ²³ And as they cried out, and cast off [their] cloaths, and threw dust to heaven,

⁹ I verily thought with my self, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. ¹⁰ Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my voice against [them]. ¹¹ And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled [them] to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted [them] even unto strange cities.

² For I bear them record, that they have a Zeal of God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

¹³ Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, the off-scouring of all things unto this day.

¹³ For ye have heard of my conversation in time past, in the Jews religion, that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God, and wasted it: ¹⁴ And profited in the Jews religion above many my equals in mine own nation, being more exceedingly zealous of the traditions of my fathers.

⁶ Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless,

⁹ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and the testimony which they held.

²² All things are delivered to me of the Father; and, and no one knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is,but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal [him.]

¹⁹ Therefore said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

⁵⁵ Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and If I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and observe his saying.

²¹ But these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not him that sent me.

²³ He that hateth me, hateth my Father also.

³ And this is life eternal, that they may know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent into this world.

²⁵ O righteous Father, this world hath not know thee; but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

⁸ Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

³ But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: ⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine. ⁵ For we preach not our selves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and our selves your servants for Jesus sake. ⁶ For God commanded the light to shine out of darkness, [and] hath shined in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of his glory, in the person of Jesus Christ.

⁸ In a flame of fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus:

¹⁰ And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth of Christ, that they might be saved. ¹¹ For this cause God sends them strong delusion, that they shall believe a lie: ¹² That they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹³ Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and injurious. But I obtained mercy, for this cause, that I did [it] ignorantly, in unbelief:

¹ Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called and we are the Sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not,

⁸ He that loveth not, knoweth not God; for God is love.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding that we may know the true God: and we are in him that is true, in his Son. This is the true God, and eternal life.

¹⁵ And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridegroom fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the day will come when the bridegroom shall be taken from them and then they shall fast in those days.

⁷ And as ye go, preach, saying, Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

²⁵ Behold, I have told you before.

¹⁹ And he said unto them, Can the children of the bride-chamber fast, while the bridegroom is with them?

²³ But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

¹² But before all these things they will lay their hands on you, and persecute [you],delivering [you] up to the synagogues, and to prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my names sake. ¹³ And it shall turn to you for a testimony.

¹⁹ Now I tell you before it come, that when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am [he].

²⁹ And now I have told you before it come to pass, that when it shall come to pass, ye might believe me.

¹² What thou gavest me, that they they may be one as we are. While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those that thou gavest me I have kept: And none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. ¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things I speak in this world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

²³ Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth to me in every city, saying, that bonds and afflictions abide me at Jerusalem.

²³ Take heed unto your selves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of the Lord, which he hath purchased with his own blood. ²⁴ But this I do not value, neither count I my life dear unto my self, so that I may finish my course, and the ministry of the word, which word I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify to Jews and Gentiles the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁴ Knowing that shortly I must put off [this] my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.

⁶² If therefore ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?

³³ Jesus therefore said, Yet a little while I am with you, and I go unto him that sent me.

³ He knowing that the Father had given him all things into [his] hands, and that he was come from God, and that he went to God.

³⁶ He therefore having received the sop, went immediately out: and it was night,

³⁶ Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus said to him, Whither I go thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow afterwards.

⁴ And whither I go, ye know, and the way ye know. ⁵ Thomas who was called Didymus, saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how do we know the way? ⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

²⁸ Ye have heard that I said unto you, I go away, and come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoyce, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

¹⁰ And of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more;

¹⁶ A little while and ye shall see me no longer; and again, in a little while, and ye shall see me, [Because I go to the Father].

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁴ I have glorified thee on the earth: And I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

¹³ And now come I to thee, and these things I speak in this world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves.

⁷ But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led a captivity captive, [and] gave gifts unto men. ⁹ Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers;

³ Who being a beam of his glory, and the express image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

² Looking unto Jesus theauthor and finisher of the faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

⁴⁵ And when he arose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow,

¹⁷ And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have among your selves, walking sad?

¹ And he said to his disciples, Let not your heart be troubled: Believe in God, believe also in me.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. ²⁸ Ye have heard that I said unto you, I go away, and come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoyce, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I.

¹¹ But Mary stood without at the sepulchre, weeping: As therefore she wept, she stooped down unto the sepulchre, ¹² And seeth two angels, the one at the head, and the other at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain: ¹³ And they say unto her, Woman, why Weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She saith unto them, Because they have taken away my Lord, and I know not where they have laid him. ¹⁴ When she had thus said, she turned her self back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that it is Jesus. ¹⁵ Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? she supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou hast taken him away, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.

²⁵ I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up for three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land:

²⁷ But I tell you That truly, there be some of those who stand here who shall not at all taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his glory.

⁴⁹ And behold I send the promise upon you; but tarry ye in the city until ye be endued with power from on high.

³⁹ But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him, should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet [come] upon them, because that Jesus was not yet glorified.

⁴⁵ Because I tell the truth, ye believe me not. ⁴⁶ --

⁵⁰ Nor consider that it is expedient for you, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not. ⁵¹ But this spake he not of himself: but being the high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus was to die for that nation: ⁵² And not for that nation only, but that also he should gather together in one, the children of God that were scattered abroad.

³ And if I shall go to prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you unto my self, that where I am, ye may be also.

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; ¹⁷ The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he abideth with you, and is in you.

²⁶ But the Comforter, the Holy Ghost, whom my Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I shall say unto you.

²⁶ But when the Comforter shall come, whom I will send unto you from my Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceedeth from my Father, he will testifie of me.

⁴ And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard bymy mouth. ⁵ For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost, which ye shall receive not many days hence.

³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear.

³⁴ But Peter opened [his] mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:

²⁸ And we know that all things work together for good, to them that love God, to them who are called according to [his] purpose.

¹⁷ For our light and short affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding eternal weight of glory;

⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led a captivity captive, [and] gave gifts unto men. ⁹ Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ¹³ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ;

⁹ But every one of the Jews went out, beginning at the eldest, till all were gone out: and Jesus was left alone, the woman being in the midst.

⁴⁶ --

³⁷ Then all they that were come together and had heard, were pricked in their heart, and some of them said to Peter, and to the apostles, Men, brethren, shew us what we shall do?

²⁹ Then he called for a light, and leaped in, and trembling, fell down at the feet of Paul and Silas; ³⁰ And brought them out, and securing the rest, he said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

²⁴ But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:

¹⁵ To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly, of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard things which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

¹⁶ For he that believeth and is baptized, shall be saved; but he that believeth not, shall be condemned.

¹⁸ He that believeth on him shall not be judged: but he that believeth not, is judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only begotten Son of God. ¹⁹ And this is the judgement, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. ²⁰ For every one that doth evil things hateth the light, lest his deeds should be reproved by the light. ²¹ But he that doth truth, cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

⁴⁰ And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life eternal. ⁴¹ I receive not honour from men. ⁴² But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. ⁴³ I am come in my Fathers name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive. ⁴⁴ How can ye believe, who receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that is from God only?

²³ And he said unto them, Ye are from beneath, But I am from above: ye are of this world, I am not of this world. ²⁴ I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your Sins: for if ye believe not me that I am [he], ye shall die in your sins.

⁴² Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God; for I came not of my self but he sent me. ⁴³ Why do ye not understand my speech? because ye cannot hear my word. ⁴⁴ Ye are of [your] father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do: he was a murderer of men from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. ⁴⁵ Because I tell the truth, ye believe me not. ⁴⁶ -- ⁴⁷ He that is of God, heareth Gods words: ye therefore hear [them] not.

⁴⁷ And if any one hear my words, and keep them not, I judge him not: for I came not that I might judge the world, but that I might save the world. ⁴⁸ He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

²² Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, aman approved of God among you, by miracles and wonders and signs, all which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye your selves know: ²³ Him, being given you by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by a wicked hand have fastned to a cross, and slain: ²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of Hades: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. ²⁵ For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw my Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved. ²⁶ Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad: moreover also, my flesh shall rest in hope, ²⁷ That thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou deliver thine holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance. ²⁹ Men, brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us until this day: ³⁰ Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his heart* (*read loins), according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ, and to place him on his throne. ³¹ He foreseeing this before, spake of the resurrection of Christ, that he was not left in Hades, neither his flesh did see corruption. ³² This Jesus therefore hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The LORD saith unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, ³⁵ Until I make thy foes the footstool of thy feet. ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. ³⁷ Then all they that were come together and had heard, were pricked in their heart, and some of them said to Peter, and to the apostles, Men, brethren, shew us what we shall do? ³⁸ But Peter saith unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

¹⁴ But ye oppressed the holy one, and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you, ¹⁵ And killed the prince of life, whom God raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. ¹⁶ And through the faith of his name, hath his name strengthened this man, whom ye see, and know that the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. ¹⁷ And now men and Brethren, know ye, that you indeed through ignorance did a wicked thing, as also your rulers. ¹⁸ But what God before had shewed by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ should suffer, he hath so fulfilled. ¹⁹ Repent ye therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come upon you, from the face of the Lord.

⁵¹ Ye stiff necked, and uncircumcised in hearts and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as did also your fathers, so [do] ye. ⁵² Which of the prophets have not they persecuted? and they have slain those who shewed before of the coming of the just one, of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers: ⁵³ Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept [it.] ⁵⁴ When they had heard him, they were cut to the hearts, and they gnashed [their] teeth at him.

⁹ I verily thought with my self, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth. ¹⁰ Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death I gave my voice against [them].

¹⁹ Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. ²⁰ Therefore by the deeds of the law, there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

⁹ For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

¹⁵ Who both killed the Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us; and please not God, and are contrary to all men: ¹⁶ Forbidding us to speak to the Gentiles, that they might be saved, to fill up their sins alway: for the wrath of God is come upon them to the uttermost.

¹² Take heed, Brethren, lest here be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.

²⁸ He that despised Moses law, died without mercy and tears, under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath troden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

³² There is another that beareth witness of me, and ye know that his testimony which he witnesseth of me, is true.

³² This Jesus therefore hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

³¹ As he hath appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness, by the man Jesus, whom he hath ordained; to give assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

¹⁷ For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

²¹ But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; ²² Even the righteousness of God by faith of Jesus Christ unto all, and upon all them that believe; for there is no difference: ²³ For all have sinned; and come short of the glory of God; ²⁴ Being justified freely by his grace, through the redemption that is in Jesus Christ: ²⁵ Whom God hath set forth a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that were formerly through the forbearance of God; ²⁶ To declare at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him who believeth in Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ For if by one offence, death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace, and of the gift of righteousness, shall reign in life by one Jesus Christ. ¹⁸ Therefore as by one offence [it came] upon all men to condemnation: even so by one righteousness [it came] upon all men unto justification of life. ¹⁹ For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners: so by the obedience of one man, shall many be made righteous. ²⁰ Moreover, the law entered, that the offence might abound: But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: ²¹ That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life, by Jesus Christ our Lord.

³³ Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? [It is] God that justifieth: ³⁴ Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again; who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

³ For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. ⁴ For Christ [is] the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

³⁰ But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

¹⁴ Then [is] our preaching vain, your faith [is] also vain. ¹⁵ Yea, we are found false witness of God; because we have testified of God, that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up. ¹⁶ For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised: ¹⁷ And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins. ¹⁸ Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished. ¹⁹ If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ²⁰ But now is Christ risen from the dead, the first-fruits of them that are fallen asleep.

²¹ He hath made him sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

⁵ For we through the Spirit wait for the hope of righteousness by faith.

⁷ But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. ⁸ Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss, for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung that I may win Christ, ⁹ And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

¹⁶ And without controversy, great is the mystery [of the word]of godliness: who was manifested in the flesh, justified in Spirit, seen of angels, preached among Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up in glory.

⁵ Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: ⁶ In burnt-offering and [offering] for sin thou hast had no pleasure: ⁷ Then said I, Lo, I come, For in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God. ⁸ Above, when he said, Sacrifices, and offerings, and burnt offerings, and [offerings] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure, which are offered by the law; ⁹ Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. ¹⁰ By the which will we have been sanctified, through the offering of the blood of Jesus Christ once. ¹¹ And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices which can never take away sins: ¹² But He, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins, for ever sat down on the right hand of God; ¹³ From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.

¹⁸ For Christ also hath once died for sins for us, the just for the unjust; that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickned by the Spirit:

¹⁸ Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgmentto the Gentiles,

³⁶ But I say unto you, That every idle word that men do speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

¹⁸ But he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven.

²² For the Father judgeth no man; but hath given all judgment unto the Son; ²³ That all should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son, neither honoureth he the Father who hath sent him. ²⁴ Verily verily I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath eternal life, and shall not come into judgement; but is passed from death unto life. ²⁵ Verily verily I say unto you, That the hour cometh and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live. ²⁶ For as the living Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself: ²⁷ And hath given him authority to execute judgement, because he is the Son of man.

³¹ Now is the judgment of the world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

³⁰ Hereafter I will not talk many things to you: for the prince of the world cometh, and hath nothing to find in me.

⁴² And he commanded us to preach unto the people, and to testify that it is he who was ordained of God the judge of quick and dead.

³⁰ And the times of this ignorance God overlooked; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: ³¹ As he hath appointed a day to judge the world in righteousness, by the man Jesus, whom he hath ordained; to give assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

²⁵ And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, and to turn [them] from darkness to light, and[from] the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them who are sanctified by faith that is in me.

² But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth, against them who commit such things. ³ And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them who do such things, and dost the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God? ⁴ Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness, and forbearance, and long-suffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

¹⁶ In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ, according to my gospel.

¹⁰ But why dost thou judge thy brother in not eating, or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment-seat of God. ¹¹ For it is written, I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. ¹² So every one of us shall render an account of himself to God.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly.

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord come; who both will bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts; and then shall every one have praise of God.

³ Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? ⁴ If then ye have judicatures of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.

⁴ In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them who believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment-seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things [done] by his body, what he hath done, whether good or bad. ¹¹ Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God, and I trust also, are made manifest in your consciences.

² Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

¹⁵ And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

¹⁴ Forasmuch then as the children were partakers of blood and flesh, he also himself likewise took part of the same sufferings: that thro death he might destroy [death] that hath the power of death, that is, the devil;

² Of the doctrine of baptisms; and of laying on of hands; of resurrection of the dead; and of eternal judgment.

²⁷ And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

⁴ For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to Tartarus, and delivered [them] into chains [and] darknesses to be reserved to be punished; ⁵ And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes, condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; ⁷ And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: ⁸ For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day, with [their] unlawful Deeds. ⁹ The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

⁷ But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment, and impiety of ungodly men. ⁸ But he that committeth sin, is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him: even so, Amen.

⁷ And there was war in heaven; and Michael and his angels fought with the dragon; and the dragon fought and his angels: ⁸ And he pravailed not, neither was their place found any more in heaven. ⁹ And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the devil and Satan, who deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. ¹⁰ And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast out, who accused them before our God day and night.

² And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him a thousand years. ³ And cast him into the abyss, and shut [him] up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: after that he must be loosed a little season.

¹⁰ And the devil that deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [were,] and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever. ¹¹ And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away, and there was found no place for them. ¹² And I saw the dead, the great and the small, stand before the throne; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which s [that] of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead, those that were in it; and death and hades delivered up the dead, those that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. ¹⁴ And death and hades were cast into the lake of fire: This is the second death, the lake of fire. ¹⁵ And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was cast into the lake of fire.

³³ And with many such parables spake he the word as they were able to hear [it].

¹⁵ Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you.

³ To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God:

¹ And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, as unto babes in Christ. ² I have fed you with milk, and not with meat; for hitherto ye were not able; neither yet now are ye able.

¹¹ Of whom also we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered; seeing ye are dull of hearing. ¹² For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the words of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. ¹³ For every one that useth milk, [is] unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is still a babe, ¹⁴ But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, to those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

³² But he that cometh from above, is above all: he that is of the earth, is of the earth, and speaketh of the earth. He that cometh from heaven, testifyeth, what he hath seen and heard, and no one receiveth his testimony.

¹⁶ Jesus answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me. ¹⁷ If any one will do his will, he shall know of the doctrine, whether it be of God, or I speak of my self. ¹⁸ He that speaketh of himself, seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, he is true, and unrighteousness is not in him.

³⁸ What things I have seen with my Father, Those I speak; and what things ye have seen with your father, those ye do.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of my self; but the Father who sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

⁶ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

¹⁷ The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him, for he abideth with you, and is in you.

¹⁷ It shall come to pass in the last days, saith the Lord, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and their sons and their daughters shall prophesy, and the young men shall see visions, and the old men shall dream dreams: ¹⁸ And on my servants, and on my handmaidens I will pour out of my Spirit:

²⁸ And as we conversed together, one of them named Agabus, spake, signifying by the spirit, that there should be a great famine throughout all the world: which also came to pass under Claudius.

²³ Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth to me in every city, saying, that bonds and afflictions abide me at Jerusalem.

²³ Take heed unto your selves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of the Lord, which he hath purchased with his own blood.

⁹ And he had four daughters, virgins, who did prophesy. ¹⁰ And as we tarried many days, there came down from Judea a certain prophet, named Agabus. ¹¹ And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle and bound his own feet and hands, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews in Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver [him] into the hands of the Gentiles.

²⁴ saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Cesar: and lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.

¹⁰ But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. ¹¹ For what man hath known the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God no one hath known, but the Spirit of God. ¹² Now we have received, not the spirit of this world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. ¹³ Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

⁷ But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. ⁸ Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led a captivity captive, [and] gave gifts unto men. ⁹ Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended into the lower parts of the earth? ¹⁰ He that descended, is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things. ¹¹ And he hath given some, apostles: and some, prophets: and some, evangelists: and some, pastors and teachers; ¹² For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: ¹³ Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ; ¹⁴ That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the flight of men, the cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive: ¹⁵ But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, Christ:

³ Let no man deceive you by any means: for it will not be except there come an apostacy first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition:

¹² That they all might be judged who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

¹ Now the Spirit speaketh expresly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, the doctrines of dæmons; ² Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with an hot iron; ³ Forbidding to marry, [commanding] to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them who believe and know his truth.

¹ This know also, that in the last days perilous times will come. ² For men will be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, ³ Without natural affection, truce breakers, false-accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, ⁴ Treacherous, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more that lovers of God; ⁵ Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away:

¹ But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who privily will bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction, ² And many will follow their filthiness, by reason of whom the glory of truth will be evil spoken of. ³ And through covetousness will they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their destruction slumbreth not. ⁴ For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to Tartarus, and delivered [them] into chains [and] darknesses to be reserved to be punished; ⁵ And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth [person], a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; ⁶ And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes, condemned [them] with an overthrow, making [them] an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly; ⁷ And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: ⁸ For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day, with [their] unlawful Deeds. ⁹ The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: ¹⁰ But chiefly them that walk after the flesh, in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government: Presumptuous [are they], self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities: ¹¹ Whereas angels who are greater in power and might, bring not a railing accusation against them. ¹² But these, as natural brute beasts, made to catch people and to corrupt them, speak evil of the things that they understand not, and shall perish in their own corruption; ¹³ And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, [as] they that count it pleasure to riot in the daytime: sporting themselves with their own feasts of charity while they rejoice with you; ¹⁴ Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised in covetous practices: cursed children : ¹⁵ Who forsake the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam [the son] of Bosor,who loved the wages of unrighteousness; ¹⁶ But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with mans voice, forbad the madness of the prophet. ¹⁷ These are wells without water, and mists that are carried with a tempest, to whom the blackness of darkness is reserved for ever. ¹⁸ For when they speak great swelling [words] of vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much wantonness, those that in some measure escape from them who live in error: ¹⁹ While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. ²⁰ For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome; the latter end is worse with them than the beginning. ²¹ For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than after they have known [it], to return backward from the holy commandment delivered unto them. ²² It is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog [is] turned to his own vomit again; and, The sow that was washed, to her wallowing in the mire.

²⁰ But ye have an unction from the holy One, and ye know all things.

²⁷ But the anointing which ye have received of him, abideth in you: and ye need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie: as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

⁶ We are of God: he that knoweth God, heareth us; Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

¹ THE revelation [of] Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified [it] by his angel unto his servant John:

¹⁹ Write therefore the things which thou haft seen; and the things which are; and the things which shall be hereafter;

¹ And I saw when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals; and I heard, as it were with the noise of thunder, one of the four animals, saying. Come. ² And I saw, and behold, a white horse; and he that sat on him had a bow, and a crown was given unto him, and the conqueror went forth to conquer also. ³ And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second animal say, Come. ⁴ And there went out another horse red: and it ws given to him that sat on him, to take peace from the earth; and they will kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword. ⁵ And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third animal say, Come. And I beheld, and lo, a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. ⁶ And I heard as a voice in the midst of the four animals say, A chaenix of wheat for a denarius, and three chaenixes of barley for a denarius; and be thou not unjust in the oyl, and the wine. ⁷ And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth animal say, Come. ⁸ And I looked, and behold, a pale horse; and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hades followed with him: and power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth; to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the fourth part of the wild beasts of the earth. ⁹ And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and the testimony which they held. ¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? ¹¹ And a white robe was given unto every one of them, and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellow-servants also, and their brethren that should be killed as they [were,] should be fulfilled. ¹² And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and lo, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood: ¹³ And the stars of God fell unto the earth, even as a fig-tree calleth her untimely figs when she is shaken of a mighty wind: ¹⁴ the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places: ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the chief captains, and the rich men, and the strong men, and every bond-man and free-man hid themselves in the dens, and in the rocks of the mountains; ¹⁶ And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: ¹⁷ For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?

¹ And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God, and of the Lamb. ² In the midst of the street of it, and on this side and on that side of the river, the tree of life, which bare twelve fruits, yielding her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations. ³ And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and his servants shall serve him. ⁴ And they shall see his face; and his name [shall be] in their foreheads. ⁵ And there shall be no night any more, and they shall not have need of the light of a candle, and the light of the sun; for the Lord God will give them light: and they shall reign for ever and ever. ⁶ And he said unto me, These sayings [are] faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets hath sent his angel to shew unto his servants the things which must shortly be done. ⁷ And behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that observeth the words of the prophesy of this book. ⁸ And I John [am he who] heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel, who shewed me these things. ⁹ Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them who observe the words of this book: worship God. ¹⁰ And he saith unto me, seal not the sayings of the prophesy of this book: for the time is at hand. ¹¹ He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he that is righteous, let him do righteousness still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still. ¹² Behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work is. ¹³ [I] [am] Alpha and Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. ¹⁴ Blessed [are] they that wash their garments, that they may have power over the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. ¹⁵ Without [are] dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie. ¹⁶ I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star. ¹⁷ And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth, say, Come. Let him that is athirst, come: And he that will, let him take the water of life freely. ¹⁸ I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophesy of this book. If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add the plagues that are written in this book: ¹⁹ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophesy, God shall take away his part out of the tree of life, and out of the holy city, [and] the things which are written in this book. ²⁰ He that testifieth these things, saith, I come quickly. Amen. Come Lord Jesus. ²¹ The grace of the Lord Jesus [be] with you all.

⁹ Of sin indeed, because the believe not on me; ¹⁰ And of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more;

³² This Jesus therefore hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. ³³ Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath poured out upon you this, which ye now both see and hear. ³⁴ For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he said himself, The LORD saith unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, ³⁵ Until I make thy foes the footstool of thy feet. ³⁶ Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that Jesus whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

¹⁰ Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. ¹¹ This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. ¹² Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given to men whereby we must be saved.

⁸ Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. ⁹ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. ¹⁰ But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit; for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

³ Wherefore I give you to understand, that no one, by the Spirit of God, calleth Jesus accursed; and no one can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

¹⁴ But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away, in the reading of the old testament; which is done away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart, ¹⁶ Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. ¹⁷ Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord [is, is] liberty. ¹⁸ But we all with open face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁶ For God commanded the light to shine out of darkness, [and] hath shined in our hearts, to illuminate the knowledge of his glory, in the person of Jesus Christ.

¹⁰ Of which salvation the prophets have enquired, and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace unto you: ¹¹ Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings for Christ, and the glory that should follow. ¹² Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto you they did minister the things which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you, by the Holy Ghost, sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.

⁷ Unto you therefore who believe [he is] precious: but unto them who be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner.

²³ And this is his commandment, that we believe on the name of Jesus Christ himself, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

¹³ Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his spirit. ¹⁴ And we have seen, and do testify, that the Father sent the Son, the Saviour of the World.

⁶ This is he that came by water, and blood, and the Spirit, Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood, and the Spirit: and it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

¹⁰ And I fell at his feet to worship him: And he said unto me, See [thou do it] not; I am thy fellow-servant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

²⁷ All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither knoweth any one the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him].

¹⁸ And Jesus came, and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and on earth.

³⁵ The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

²⁹ My Father who gave [them] me, is greater than all: and none is able to pluck [them] out of my Fathers hand. ³⁰ I and the Father are one.

² As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that every one whom thou hast given him may have eternal life.

¹⁰ And all mine are thine, and thine are mine, and thou hast glorified me in them.

¹⁹ For in him all the fulness was pleased to dwell.

³ In whom are all the hidden treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

⁹ For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

¹⁹ So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

³⁵ Jesus therefore said unto them, Yet a little while is the light among you: walk therefore while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

³³ Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, that Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say unto you.

¹⁸ I will not leave you orphans: I come to you. ¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. ²⁰ In that day ye shall know, that I [am] in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. ²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him. ²² Judas saith unto him, not Scarioth, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thy self unto us, and not unto the world? ²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and I will come unto him, and make my abode with him. ²⁴ He that loveth me not, will not keep my sayings: and the word which you hear, is not mine, but his who sent me.

⁵ But now I go to him that sent me, and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou?

¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while and ye shall see me no longer: and again, a little while and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? ¹⁸ What is this? A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. ¹⁹ Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him about this Matter, and said unto them, Do you enquire among your selves about what I said, A little while and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while and ye shall see me?

²² And ye now therefore shall have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one taketh from you.

⁵ And now, O Father, glorifie thou me with thine own self, with the glory which I had from thee before the world was.

¹⁹ The same day therefore at evening, being the first [day] of the week, and when the doors were shut, where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. ²⁰ And when he had so said, he shewed [his] hands and his side to them. His disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord. ²¹ He therefore said to them again, Peace be unto you: as the Father hath sent me, even so send I you. ²² When he said this, he breathed on them and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost. ²³ Whose soever sins, ye shall remit, they are remitted unto them whose soever ye shall retain, they are retained. ²⁴ But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, was not with them when Jesus came. ²⁵ The other disciples therefore said unto him, that We have seen the Lord. But he said unto them, Except I shall see in his hands the print of the nails, put my hands into his Side, and put my finger into the print of the nails, I will not believe. ²⁶ And after eight days, again the disciples were within, and Thomas with them: Then came Jesus, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, Peace [be] unto you. ²⁷ Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and put unto my side; and be not faithless, but believing. ²⁸ Thomas answered and said unto him, My Lord, and my God. ²⁹ Jesus saith unto him, Because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed; blessed [are] they that have not seen, and have believed.

¹ After these things, He shewed himself again to his disciples at the sea of Tiberias; But thus shewed he [himself]: ² There were together Simon Peter, and Thomas called Didymus, and Nathanael, who was of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two other of his disciples. ³ Simon Peter saith unto these, I go a fishing. They say unto him, We also go with thee. They went forth, and entered into a ship: and that night they caught nothing. ⁴ But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: However the disciples knew not that it is Jesus. ⁵ Jesus therefore saith unto them, Children, have ye any food? They answered him, No. ⁶ But he said unto them, Cast the net on the right side of the ship, and ye shall find. And they cast, and now they were not able to draw it for the multitude of fishes. ⁷ Therefore the disciple whom Jesus loved, saith unto Peter, It is your Lord. When Simon Peter therefore heard that it is the Lord, he girt [his] upper garment about him, for he was naked, and leaped into the sea. ⁸ But the other disciples came in a little ship, for they were not far from land, but as it were two hundred cubits, dragging the net with fishes. ⁹ When therefore they were come to land, they saw a fire of coals lying there, and fish laid thereof, and bread. ¹⁰ Jesus saith unto them, Bring of the fishes which ye have now caught. ¹¹ Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of great fishes, an hundred and fifty and three: and altho there we so many, yet was not the net broken. ¹² Jesus saith unto them, Come, dine. But none of the disciples durst ask him, Who art thou? knowing that it is the Lord. ¹³ Jesus cometh and taketh bread, and giving thanks he gave [it] to them, and fish likewise. ¹⁴ This is now the third time that Jesus shewed himself to his disciples, since he was risen from the dead. ¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁶ the Lord saith to him the second time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁸ Verily verily I say unto thee, When thou was young, thou girdedst thy self, and walkedst whither thou wouldest, but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands and other shall gird thee, and carry thee away whither thou wouldst not. ¹⁹ But these things spake he, signifying by what death he should glorifie God. And when he had spoken these things, he saith unto him, Follow me. ²⁰ But Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said unto him, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee? ²¹ -- ²² Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he remain thus until I come, what [is that] to thee? Follow thou me. ²³ This saying therefore went out unto the brethren, and they supposed that that disciple should not die. And Jesus said not, that Thou shalt not die: but If I will that he tarry till I come, [what is that to] thee?

⁴⁰ Him God raised up the third day, and granted him to be made manifest: ⁴¹ Not to all the people, but to witnesses, chosen before of God, to us, who did eat and drink and converse with him after [he] arose from the dead forty days.

⁵ And that he was seen of Cephas, and after those things of the eleven. ⁶ Afterward he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once: of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. ⁷ After that he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. ⁸ And last of all, he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ⁹ For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

¹⁰ But they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what it was when he should rise from the dead?

³² But they understood not that saying, and were afraid to ask him.

⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was hidden from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

³⁴ And they understood none of these things: But the saying was hidden from them, neither knew they the things which were spoken.

¹⁶ These things his disciples minded not at the first: But when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and they had done these things unto him.

⁵ Thomas who was called Didymus, saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest, and how do we know the way?

²² Judas saith unto him, not Scarioth, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thy self unto us, and not unto the world?

¹ These things have I spoken that ye should not be offended.

¹⁹ Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him about this Matter, and said unto them, Do you enquire among your selves about what I said, A little while and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while and ye shall see me?

⁹ Do ye not yet understand, neither remember when there were five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? ¹⁰ Neither the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets ye took up? ¹¹ How, do ye not understand, that I spake [it] not concerning bread? Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, and of the Sadducees,

²⁵ But he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart as to all that the prophets have spoken!

¹² For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which [be] the first principles of the words of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

⁸ Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye open your mouth.

⁴ And Jesus knowing their thoughts, said unto them, Wherefore think ye evil in you hearts?

³³ And they came to Capharnaum, and being in the house, he asked them, What was it that ye disputed by the way? ³⁴ But they held their peace: for they had disputed among themselves, who [should be] the greatest.

²⁴ But Jesus did not commit himself unto then., because he knew all, ²⁵ And needed not that any should testifie of man: for he knew what was in man.

¹⁹ Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

³⁰ Now we know that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any one should ask thee; by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.

¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

¹³ Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things [are] naked, and opened unto the eyes of him of whom we speak.

²³ I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he who searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.

⁴ Blessed [are] the meek: for they all inherit the earth.

³⁸ But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir, come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance.

³⁹ And they that passed by, reviled him, wagging their head, ⁴⁰ And saying, wo! Thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest [it] in three days, save thy self if thou be the Son of God, and come down from the cross. ⁴¹ Likewise also the Scribes and Pharisees, mocking him, said, ⁴² He saved others, himself he cannot save; let him now come down from the cross and we will believe him. ⁴³ If he trusted in God let him deliver him now if he will have him: for he said, I am the Son of God. ⁴⁴ The thieves also who were crucified with him, cast the same in his teeth.

⁶² Now the next day that followed the day of the preparation, the chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, ⁶³ Saying, Sir, we remember that that deceiver said, while he was yet alive, that after three days I will rise. ⁶⁴ Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure untill the third day, lest his disciples come and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. ⁶⁵ Pilate said unto them, Ye have a watch, go your way make [it] sure as you know [how to do]. ⁶⁶ So they went and made the sepulchre sure, sealing the stone, with a watch.

⁷² And presently the cock crew the second time. And Peter called to mind the word that Jesus said. And when he thought thereon, he began to weep.

²⁹ And they that passed by, blasphemed him, wagging [their] heads, and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days! ³⁰ Save thy self, and come down from the cross. ³¹ But the chief priests mocking, said among themselves with the scribes, He saved others, himself he cannot save. ³² Let Christ the king of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe him. And they that were crucified with him, reproached him.

¹⁰ She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.

²¹ Blessed [are] ye that hunger now[:] for ye shall be filled.

⁶² And he went out, and wept bitterly.

²⁷ And there followed him a company of people, [and] women who bewailed and lamented him.

⁴⁷ And the centurion cryed out, and glorified God, saying, Certainly this was a righteous man. ⁴⁸ And all the multitude that came together to the sight, having beheld the things which were done, smote their breasts, and their foreheads, and returned. ⁴⁹ And all his acquaintance, and the women that followed him from Galilee, stood afar off to behold these things.

²¹ But we trusted that it was He who was to redeem Israel: and with all these things to day is the third day since these things were done.

⁶ But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart.

³³ These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye may have peace. In the world ye have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.

²⁵ Now there stood by the cross of Jesus, his mother, and his mothers sister, Mary [the] daughter of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene. ²⁶ When Jesus therefore saw [his] mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold, they son. ²⁷ Then saith he to the disciple, Behold, thy mother. And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own [home].

²⁰ And when he had so said, he shewed [his] hands and his side to them. His disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.

⁴⁶ And they all continued in the temple, and from house to house, and breaking bread, partook of meat with gladness and singleness of heart. ⁴⁷ Praising God, and having favour with all the world. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

⁴¹ The apostles therefore departed from the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer shame for [his] name.

² By whom also we have access into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only this, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

¹¹ And not only this, but we also joy in God, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have already received the atonement.

¹⁰ As sorrowful, yet alway rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and possessing all things.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

⁶ And ye became followers of us, and of the Lord; having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Ghost:

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God the Father, who hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace, ¹⁷ Comfort your hearts, and stablish [them] in every good work and word.

² My Brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;

⁶ Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations. ⁷ That the trial of your faith being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might befound unto praise, and honour, and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: ⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory:

²⁴ Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present [you] faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. ¹⁶ They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more, neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb that is in the midst of the throne, shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹⁰ And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwell on the earth.

⁷ How much she hath glorified her self, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, that I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.

⁵⁷ Now Elisabets full time came, that she should be delivered;and she brought forth a son. ⁵⁸ And her neighbours and her kinsfolks heard how the Lord had magnifyed his mercy to her;and they rejoyced with her.

²⁷ For it is written, Rejoice thou barren that bearest not; break forth and cry, thou that travailest not: for the desolate hath many more children than she who hath an husband.

³ And when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

² And she being with child, cried, andtravelling in birth, was pained to be delivered. ³ And there appeared another wonder in heaven, and behold, a great red dragon, having seven heads, and ten horns, and seven crowns were upon their head. ⁴ And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman, who was ready to be delivered, forto devour her child assoon as it was born. ⁵ And she brought forth a man-child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and unto his throne.

⁸ And they departed quickly from the sepulchre, with fear and great joy, and did run to bring his disciples word.

⁴² But one thing is needful. Mary hath chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

²⁵ But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is here comforted, and thou art pained.

²⁶ For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath, is added! and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.

⁴¹ And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said, Have ye here any meat?

⁵¹ And it came to pass while he blessed them, he was parted from them. ⁵² And they returned to Jerusalem with great joy. ⁵³ And were continually in the temple praising God.

¹⁴ But whosoever shall drink of the water that I shall give him, will never thirst: but the water that I shall give him, wilt be in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life.

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

²⁰ Verily, verily I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament; The world shall rejoyce. Ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.

¹⁹ The same day therefore at evening, being the first [day] of the week, and when the doors were shut, where the disciples were for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace [be] unto you. ²⁰ And when he had so said, he shewed [his] hands and his side to them. His disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord.

⁷ Therefore the disciple whom Jesus loved, saith unto Peter, It is your Lord. When Simon Peter therefore heard that it is the Lord, he girt [his] upper garment about him, for he was naked, and leaped into the sea.

⁴⁶ And they all continued in the temple, and from house to house, and breaking bread, partook of meat with gladness and singleness of heart.

⁵² And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Ghost.

²⁵ And at the middle of the night Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.

³⁵ Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? tribulation, or distress, persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? ³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors on account of him that loved us. ³⁸ For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angel, nor authority, nor principality, nor power, nor things present, nor things to come, ³⁹ Nor height, nor depth, nor any creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁷ Therefore, brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith: ⁸ For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord. ⁹ For what thanks can we render to God again for you, for all the joy wherewith we rejoiced for your sakes before our God,

¹⁶ Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God the Father, who hath loved us, and hath given [us] everlasting consolation, and good hope through grace,

¹⁸ That with two immutable things, in which [it was] impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

³⁴ For ye had compassion of those in bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in your selves that ye have a better and an enduring substance.

⁸ Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom though now ye see [him] not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable, and full of glory:

¹³ But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. ¹⁴ If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy [are ye]; for the spirit of glory and power, and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

⁷ Ask and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

²² And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.

³⁶ He therefore having received the sop, went immediately out: and it was night,

³⁶ Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus said to him, Whither I go thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow afterwards. ³⁷ When therefore he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him:

³⁷ He saith unto him, Lord, why cannot I follow thee now? I will lay down my life for thy sake.

¹³ And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ¹⁴ If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do [it].

²⁰ In that day ye shall know, that I [am] in my Father, and you in me, and I in you.

⁷ But if ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done.

¹⁵ Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father, I have made known unto you. ¹⁶ Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you, that you should go and bring forth much fruit, and your fruit should remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.

²⁶ In that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will ask my Father concerning you:

²⁰ But Peter turning about, seeth the disciple whom Jesus loved, following; who also leaned on his breast at supper, and said unto him, Lord, who is he that betrayeth thee? ²¹ --

¹⁸ For through him we both have an access by one Spirit unto the Father.

¹⁴ For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, ¹⁵ Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, ¹⁶ That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might, by his Spirit in the inner man; ¹⁷ That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye being rooted and grounded in love, ¹⁸ May be able to comprehend with all saints, what [is] the breadth, and length, and height, and depth; ¹⁹ And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge; that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. ²⁰ Now unto him that is able to perform exceeding abundantly all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,

⁵ For [there is] one God, and one Mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; ⁶ Who gave himself a ransom for all; whose testimony was given in his own times.

¹⁴ Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast [our] profession. ¹⁵ For we have not an high priest who cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, without sin. ¹⁶ Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace for seasonableassistance.

²⁵ Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost, that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. ²⁶ For such an high priest became us also, holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus; ²⁰ By a new living way which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, through his flesh; ²¹ And an high priest over the house of God: ²² Let us draw near with a true heart, in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. ²³ Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering, for he [is] faithful that promised:

¹ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

¹⁴ And this is the confidence that we have in him, that if we ask according to his name, he heareth us. ¹⁵ [And] whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. ¹⁶ If any one see his brother sin a sin not onto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin the sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

⁹ After this manner therefore pray ye; Our Father who art in the heavens, Hallowed be thy name.

⁷ Ask and it shall be given you: seek, and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you: ⁸ For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, shall be opened.

²⁹ He that hath the bride, is the bridegroom: but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoyceth greatly because of the bridegrooms voice, this my joy therefore is fulfilled.

²³ And in that day ye shall ask me nothing: Verily, verily I say unto you, If ye shall ask the Father any thing in my name, he will give [it] you.

¹⁶ I will not cease to give thanks for you, making mention in my prayers; ¹⁷ That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation, in the knowledge of him;

¹¹ Now God himself and our Father, and our Lord Jesus, direct our way unto you: ¹² And the Lord Jesus make you to increase and abound in love one towards another, and towards all men, even as we [do] towards you: ¹³ To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before God even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. Amen.

² Grace unto you, and peace from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

² Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. ³ Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

³ That which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. ⁴ And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.

¹² Having many things to write unto you, I would not do it with paper and ink; but I hope to be with you, and speak mouth to mouth, that your joy may be full.

¹⁰ And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables? ¹¹ He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

³⁴ All there things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables, and without a parable spake he not unto them: ³⁵ That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.

¹³ And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will you know all parables?

⁶ This parable spake Jesus unto them: but they understood not what things they were which he spake unto them.

² They shall put you out of the synagogues: But the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you, will think that he doth God service.

¹² I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.

¹⁶ A little while and ye shall see me no longer; and again, in a little while, and ye shall see me, [Because I go to the Father]. ¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while and ye shall see me no longer: and again, a little while and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. ²⁹ His disciples say unto him, lo, now thou speakest plainly, and speakest no proverb.

¹² Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech. ¹³ And not as Moses put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished.

² But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending our selves to every man's conscience in the sight of God.

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

⁹ I ask for them: I ask not for the world; but for them whom thou hast given me, for they are thine.

¹⁹ And for their sakes I sanctifie my self, that they also may be sanctified in the truth.

²⁴ Father, I will that what thou hast given me, they many be with me where I am, that they may behold the glory which thou has given me, for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

³⁴ Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather that is risen again; who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

³⁷ He that loveth father or mother more than me, is not worthy of me:

¹³ And no one hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, the Son of man who is in heaven.

²⁹ But I know him, for I am from him, and he hath sent me.

⁴² Jesus therefore said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth, and came from God; for I came not of my self but he sent me.

²¹ He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father: and I will love him, and will manifest my self to him.

²³ Jesus answered and said unto him, If any one love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and I will come unto him, and make my abode with him.

⁷ Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me, are from thee. ⁸ For I have given unto them thy words which thou hast given me; and they have received them truly, because I came out from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.

²³ And I in thee, and Thou in me, that they may be made perfect into one, that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and I have loved them, as thou hast loved me.

²⁵ O righteous Father, this world hath not know thee; but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. ²⁶ And I have made known unto them thy name, and will make it know: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus said to Simon Peter, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me more that these? Jesus (Read: Peter) saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁶ the Lord saith to him the second time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yes, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep. ¹⁷ He saith unto him the third time, Simon [son] of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Lord, thou knowest all men; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

³ What the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son, in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin condemned sin in the flesh:

⁴⁷ The first man [is] of the earth, earthy: the second man [is] from heaven.

²² If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be anathema, Maran-atha.

¹⁴ For the love of Christ constraineth us, because we thus judge, that [if] one died for all, then were all dead;

⁴ But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

²⁴ Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.

¹⁵ This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

⁶ For whom the Lord loveth, he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

¹⁹ We therefore love God; because God first loved us.

²⁰ But ye, beloved, building up yourselves in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, ²¹ Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.

⁹ Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will cause that they shall come, and shall worship before thy feet, and know that I have loved thee.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten; be zealous therefore, and repent.

⁵¹ And it came to pass, when the days were fulfilled that he should be received up, he stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem,

⁵¹ And it came to pass while he blessed them, he was parted from them.

¹⁴ Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of my self, my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, or whither I go.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come, that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.

¹¹ And I am no longer in this world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. I am no longer in the world, and I am in the world: Holy Father, keep them in thy name.

⁹ Add when he had spoken these things, a cloud received him, and he was taken out of their sight. ¹⁰ And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven, as he was going, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; ¹¹ And they said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing? This same Jesus who is taken up from you into heaven, shall socome, in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

²⁵ These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs, The hour cometh when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall tell you plainly of the Father.

²⁰ For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doth: and he sheweth him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

¹⁷ Some of his disciples therefore said among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while and ye shall see me no longer: and again, a little while and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?

²⁷ For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from the Father. ²⁸ I came forth from the Father, and am come unto the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

⁸ For I have given unto them thy words which thou hast given me; and they have received them truly, because I came out from thee; and they have believed that thou didst send me.

⁴⁴ Put ye these sayings into your ears: for the Son of man is to be delivered into the hands of men. ⁴⁵ But they understood not this saying, and it was hidden from them, that they perceived it not: and they feared to ask him of that saying.

³⁸ Jesus answered, Wilt thou lay down they life for my sake? Verily, verily I say unto thee, that The cock shall not crow, till thou hast denied me thrice.

³¹ Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye will be Scandalized because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered abroad.

⁵⁶ But all this hath been done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook im, and fled.

²⁷ Then Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered.

⁵⁰ And they all forsook him and fled.

²³ But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.

²⁵ Verily verily I say unto you, That the hour cometh and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and they that hear shall live.

²⁸ Marvel not at this; for the hour cometh in which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice.

¹⁶ And yet if I judge, my judgment is true: for I am not alone, but I and he that sent me.

²⁹ And he that sent me, is with me: He hath not left me alone: for I do always those things that please him.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.

¹⁰ Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I have spoken unto you, I spake not of my self: but the Father, that abideth in me, he doth his works. ¹¹ Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe for the very works sake,

¹⁰ the disciples therefore went away again unto their own homes.

¹ And at that time there was a great persecution and affliction upon the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles, who tarried at Jerusalem.

¹⁶ At my first Apology no man stod with me, but all men forsook me: may it not be laid to their charge. ¹⁷ Notwithstanding, the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, among men of good will.

³⁸ Saying, Blessed [be] he that cometh in the name of the Lord: Blessed be the King. Peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me first, ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own: Because ye were not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. ²⁰ Remember the words that I said unto you, my servant is not greater than his Lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you: if they have observed my saying, they will observe yours also. ²¹ But these things will they do unto you for my names sake, because they know not him that sent me.

¹¹ And of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

³¹ Then had the church rest throughout all Judea, and Galilee, and Samaria, and was edified, and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, was multiplied.

²² Confirming the souls of the disciples, [and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation come into the kingdom of God.

¹¹ And the night following, the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.

²² And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of life among you, but of the ship.

²⁵ Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.

¹ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ. ² By whom also we have access into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

³⁶ As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. ³⁷ Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors on account of him that loved us.

³ Blessed [be] God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;

⁴ Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great [is] my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in our manifold tribulation.

¹¹ Finally, brethren, farewell: be perfect, be of good comfort, be unanimous, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.

⁴ Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God, and our Father:

¹⁴ But God forbid that I should glory save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.

¹⁴ For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; ¹⁵ Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, the law of commandments, in ordinances, for to make in himself, of twain, one new man, making peace; ¹⁶ And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: ¹⁷ And came, and preached peace to those who were afar off, and to those that were nigh.

⁷ And the peace of God which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

²⁰ And having made peace through his cross to reconcile all things unto himself, whether things upon earth or things in heaven.

⁴ For verily when we were with you, we told you before, that we should suffer tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know.

⁷ Therefore, brethren, we are comforted over you in all our affliction and distress by your faith:

¹⁶ Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always, in every place. The Lord [be] with you all.

¹² Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus, will suffer persecution.

² To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all: first being by interpretation, king of Righteousness, and after that also, king of Salem, which is, king of Peace;

²⁵ Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

²⁰ Now the God of peace that brought again from the ead our Lord Jesus Christ, that great shepherd of the sheep; through the blood of the everlasting covenant, ²¹ Make us perfect in every good work: that we may do his will; working in us that which is well-pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for ever: Amen.

⁹ Whom resist stedfast in the faith; knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the World.

⁴ Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

⁴ For whatsoever is born of God, overcometh the world; and this s the victory that overcometh the world, our faith.

²¹ To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

¹⁴ And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they who come out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

¹¹ And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
