³⁹ And knew not, till the flood came and took them all away, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

¹³ Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. ¹⁴ And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah who saith, Hearing ye will hear, but in no wise understand, and seeing ye will see, but in no wise perceive. ¹⁵ For the heart of this people is waxed fat, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes have they closed: lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and should be converted and I should heal them.

³⁷ But as the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

⁴⁴ And shall dash thee against the ground, and thy children, that are in thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another: because thou knewest not the time of thy visitation.

²⁰ For every one that doth evil, hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

⁴¹ Behold ye despisers, and wonder and perish. For I work a work in your days, a work which ye will in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you.

²⁸ And as they were not careful to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them up to an undiscerning mind, to do things not expedient, Filled with all injustice, maliciousness, covetousness, wickedness:

⁵ For this they are willingly ignorant of, that by the word of God of old the heavens were and the earth, standing out of the water and in the water,
