⁴⁰ Then shall two be in the field: one is taken, and one is left. Two women shall be grinding in the mill;

³⁴ I tell you, in this night, there shall be two men in one bed; one shall be taken and the other left. ³⁵ Two women shall be grinding together; one shall be taken and the other left. ³⁶ Two men shall be in the field; one shall be taken and the other left. ³⁷ And they answering said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wheresoever the body is, there will the eagles be gathered together.

³⁹ And one of the malefactors, who were hanging on the cross, reviled him, saying, If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us. ⁴⁰ But the other answering, rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation? ⁴¹ And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this person hath done nothing amiss. ⁴² And he said to Jesus, Lord, remember me, when thou comest in thy kingdom. ⁴³ And Jesus said to him, Verily I say unto thee, To-day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

⁷ For who maketh thee to differ from another? And what hast thou which thou hast not received? But if thou hast received it, why dost thou boast, as if thou hadst not received it?

⁵ to be reserved to judgment, And spared not the old world, (but he saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness) bringing a flood on the world of the ungodly;

⁷ And delivered righteous Lot, vexed with the filthy behaviour of the wicked: ⁸ (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds). ⁹ The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptation, and to reserve the unrighteous to the day of judgment to be punished.
