¹ A Psalm by David. the LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet. ² the LORD will send out your mighty scepter from Zion; rule in the midst of your enemies. ³ Your people will volunteer in the day of your power. In holy splendor, from the womb of the dawn, you will have the dew of your youth. ⁴ The LORD has sworn, and will not change his mind: "You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek." ⁵ The Lord is at your right hand. He will crush kings in the day of his wrath. ⁶ He will judge among the nations. He will heap up dead bodies. He will crush the ruler of the whole earth. ⁷ He will drink of the brook in the way; therefore he will lift up his head.

⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill." ⁷ I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father. ⁸ "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession. ⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!"

¹ To the chief musician, on the harp. A Psalm of David. O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is Your name in all the earth; You have set Your glory above the heavens!

⁶ You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom. ⁷ You love righteousness and hate wickedness. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you from among your companions with festive oil.

⁴² "What do you think about the Christ? Whose son is he?" "David's," they said. ⁴³ He said to them, How is it then that David through the Spirit calls him Lord? For he said, ⁴⁴ 'The Lord said to my Lord, "Sit at my right hand until I put your enemies under your feet" '? ⁴⁵ If David calls him Lord, how can he be his son?" ⁴⁶ No one could answer him at all, and from that day on no one dared to ask him another question.

⁶⁴ “You have said it yourself,” Jesus answered. “But I say to all of you, from now on you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven.”

³⁵ While Jesus was teaching in the Temple Courts, he asked: "How is it that the Teachers of the Law say that the Christ is to be David's son? ³⁶ David himself, speaking by the Holy Spirit, declared: 'The Lord said to my Lord: "Sit at my right hand till I put your enemies under your feet."' ³⁷ David himself calls Him Lord. So how can He be David’s son?” And the large crowd listened to Him with delight.

¹⁹ After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

⁴² David himself says in the book of Psalms, ‘The Lord said to my Lord, “Sit at my right hand, ⁴³ until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." '

⁴¹ And He withdrew about a stone’s throw beyond them, where He knelt down and prayed,

³⁴ For David did not ascend into the heavens; yet he saith, "The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, ³⁵ until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." '

²⁵ For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet.

²⁰ which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in the one to come. ²² And he subordinated all things under his feet, and appointed him head over all things for the church,

¹ Since then you have been raised with Christ, aim at what is above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God;

³ The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His nature, upholding all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

¹³ But to which of the angels did he ever say, "Sit at my right hand until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet"?

¹ The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,

¹² But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, "he sat down at the right hand of God." ¹³ from that time waiting for his enemies to be made his footstool.

² Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

²² who has gone to heaven and is at God's right hand, with angels, hierarchies, and powers made subject to him.

¹⁹ the LORD then spoke to Moses: "Tell Aaron, Take your staff and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt; its rivers, canals, ponds, and all its reservoirs. They will turn into blood. There will be blood everywhere in Egypt, even in the buckets of wood and stone pitchers."

⁵ the LORD said to Moses, Tell Aaron, 'Stretch out your hand with your rod over the rivers, over the streams, and over the pools, and cause frogs to come up on the land of Egypt'.

²⁸ Because the kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations. ²⁹ All the fat ones of the earth will eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust will bow before him, even he who cannot keep his soul alive.

⁵ your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under you. ⁶ Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. A scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your kingdom.

⁸ He shall also rule from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

³ Then many people will come and say: "Let us go to the mountain of the LORD, to the House of the God of Jacob. He will teach us his ways so that we may live by them." The law will go out from Zion. The word of the LORD will go out from Jerusalem.

¹⁷ Mourn for him, all who live around him, and all who know his name. Say, 'Oh how the mighty rod is broken, the glorious staff.

¹⁴ '"Fire spread from one of its main branches and consumed its fruit. No strong branch is left on it fit for a ruler's scepter. This is a song of grief and is to be used as a song of grief.'"

¹ The man took me back to the door of the Temple. I saw water flowing from under the entrance of the Temple toward the east. The Temple faced east. The water was flowing under the south side of the Temple, south of the altar.

¹³ I beheld in the night vision, and behold, One like the Son of Man coming with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days, and was brought near to Him. ¹⁴ And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away and his kingdom is one that will not be destroyed.

² And many nations will come and say, "Come! Let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the temple of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways, and that we may walk in his paths," for the law will go out from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

¹⁴ Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your heritage, who dwell by themselves in a forest, in the midst of fertile pasture land, let them feed; in Bashan and Gilead, as in the days of old.

¹⁸ Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. ¹⁹ Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

³⁴ For David did not ascend into the heavens; yet he saith, "The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, ³⁵ until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." ' ³⁶ Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!” ³⁷ When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and asked Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”

¹⁶ I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek.

²³ but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, ²⁴ but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

⁴ The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. ⁵ We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ,

¹³ And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you who believe.

¹² It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.

² "When long hair hangs loosely in Israel, when the people willingly offer themselves, bless the LORD!

²⁹ Give to the LORD the glory due to his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.

² And the people blessed all of the men who volunteered to live in Jerusalem.

²⁷ All the limits of the earth shall remember and return to the LORD, And all the families of the nations shall bow down before Him." ²⁸ Because the kingship belongs to the LORD, and he rules over the nations.

⁹ Worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.

¹² This is the law of the temple: On the top of the mountain, all of its territory, all the way around it, will be most holy. Look, this is the law of the temple.

⁸ But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

³³ Exalted, then, to the right hand of God, He has received from the Father the promised Holy Spirit and has poured out what you now see and hear.

⁴¹ Those who embraced his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to the believers that day.

⁴ But many who heard the message believed, and the number of men grew to about five thousand.

³⁰ as You stretch out Your hand to heal and perform signs and wonders through the name of Your holy servant Jesus.” ³¹ After they had prayed, their meeting place was shaken, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke the word of God boldly. ³² The congregation of believers was one in heart and soul. No one claimed that any of his possessions was his own, but they shared everything they owned. ³³ With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and abundant grace was on them all. ³⁴ There were no needy ones among them, because those who owned lands or houses would sell their property, bring the proceeds from the sales, ³⁵ and laid it at the apostles' feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need.

²⁰ So the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.

²⁰ When they heard this, they glorified God. Then they said to Paul, “You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the Law.

² God did not reject His people, whom He foreknew. Do you not know what the Scripture says about Elijah, how he appealed to God against Israel: ³ “LORD, they have killed your prophets and torn down your altars; I am the only one left, and they are trying to take my life!” ⁴ But what was the answer of God to him? I have reserved for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal. ⁵ So too at the present time there is a remnant, chosen by grace. ⁶ And if it is by grace, then it is no longer by works. Otherwise, grace would no longer be grace.

¹ Now, brothers, we want you to know about the grace God has given the churches of Macedonia. ² that under an afflicting trial, their overflowing joy, and their deep poverty, abounded to the riches of their liberality; ³ I testify that they gave according to their ability, and beyond their ability, by their own choice,

¹² For if the eagerness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

¹⁶ But thanks be to God, who put into the heart of Titus the same devotion I have for you.

⁴ For He was indeed crucified in weakness, yet He lives by God’s power. And though we are weak in Him, yet by God’s power we will live with Him to serve you.

¹⁵ But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by His grace, was pleased ¹⁶ To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not confer with flesh and blood:

⁴ For He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and blameless in His presence. In love

¹³ For it is God who works in you to will and to act on behalf of His good pleasure.

⁷ For God did not call us to be impure, but to be holy.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, zealous for good deeds.

²¹ equip you with every good thing to do His will. And may He accomplish in us what is pleasing in His sight through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁹ After this I looked, and there was a vast throng that no one could count from every nation, tribe, people, and tongue, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,

¹⁸ Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High.

¹⁹ God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of humankind, that he should change his mind. Has he said, and will he not do it? And has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

³⁴ I will not break my covenant, nor alter what my lips have uttered. ³⁵ Once for all I have sworn by my holiness; that I will not be false to David. ³⁶ His offspring will endure forever, and his throne as the sun before me.

¹¹ The LORD made an oath to David from which he will not retreat: "One of your sons I will set in place on your throne.

¹³ And he will build the temple of the LORD, and he will bear majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he shall be a priest on his throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two of them." '

⁶ As he also says in another place, You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

¹³ When God made His promise to Abraham, since He had no one greater to swear by, He swore by Himself, ¹⁴ He said: "I will surely bless you and give you many descendants." ¹⁵ And so, after waiting patiently, Abraham received what [God] had promised. ¹⁶ Men swear by someone greater than themselves, and their oath serves as a confirmation to end all argument. ¹⁷ So when God wanted to make the unchanging nature of His purpose very clear to the heirs of the promise, He guaranteed it with an oath. ¹⁸ Thus by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled to take hold of the hope set before us may be strongly encouraged.

²⁰ where Jesus our forerunner has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.

¹¹ Now if perfection could have been attained through the Levitical priesthood (upon which basis the people received the Law), why was there still a need for another priest to appear—one in the order of Melchizedek and not in the order of Aaron?

¹⁷ For it is testified: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”

²¹ but Jesus became a priest with an oath when God said to him, "The Lord has taken an oath and will not change his mind. You are a priest forever."

²⁸ For the Law appoints as high priests men who are weak; but the oath, which came after the Law, appointed the Son, who has been made perfect forever.

⁶ and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

² The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. ³ "Let us break their bands asunder and throw off from us their yoke." ⁴ The One who dwells in heaven laughs. the LORD scoffs at them. ⁵ Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his rage (fury). He says: ⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy hill."

⁹ "You will rule them with an iron scepter. You will dash them to pieces like pottery!" ¹⁰ So then, O kings, be wise. Be warned, O rulers of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed (happy) are all who take refuge (put trust) in him.

⁸ I have set the LORD always before me; because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

⁸ Your hand will find all your enemies, your right hand will find those who hate you. ⁹ When you appear, you will set them ablaze like a fire furnace. In his wrath, the LORD will consume them, and the fire will devour them.

⁴ In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds. ⁵ your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies; whereby the people fall under you.

¹⁴ When the Almighty scattered the kings there, there was snow on Mt. Zalmon.

³⁰ Rebuke the beasts in the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples, trampling the pieces of silver. Scatter the nations who delight in battles.

⁷ to execute vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, ⁸ to bind their kings with fetters, and their nobles with manacles of iron; ⁹ to carry out on them the judgment written; this is an honor for all His saints. Praise the LORD!

¹⁸ And it shall be on that day, when Gog comes against the land of Israel, says the Sovereign LORD, My fury shall come up in My face. ¹⁹ "'In my zeal and in my blazing wrath I proclaim that on that day there will surely be a great earthquake in the land of Israel.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion. Shout, daughter of Jerusalem. Look, your king comes to you. He is righteous, and having salvation; lowly, and riding on a donkey, even on a colt, the foal of a donkey. ¹⁰ I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow will be cut off; and he will speak peace to the nations: and his dominion will be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.

¹³ For I have bent Judah as if it were my bow, loading it with Ephraim. I raised up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, wielding you like a mighty warrior's sword. ¹⁴ Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow will go forth like lightning; and my Sovereign LORD will blow the trumpet, and he shall go out in the storm winds of the south. ¹⁵ The LORD of hosts will defend them; and they will destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they will drink, and roar as through wine; and they will be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar.

³⁴ For David did not ascend into the heavens; yet he saith, "The Lord said to my lord, Sit at my right hand, ³⁵ until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet." ' ³⁶ Therefore let all Israel know with certainty that God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ!”

⁵⁵ But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked intently into heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. ⁵⁶ “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

⁵ But because of your hard and unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of wrath, when God’s righteous judgment will be revealed.

¹⁵ Then the kings of the earth, the nobles, the commanders, the rich, the mighty, and every slave and free man, hid in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains. ¹⁶ They told the mountains and the rocks, "Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him who sits on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, ¹⁷ for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?"

¹⁸ The nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come. The time has come to judge the dead, and to reward Your servants, the prophets and saints, and those who fear Your name, both small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.”

¹² “And the ten horns you saw are ten kings, who have not received a kingdom yet, but for one hour they will receive authority as kings, along with the beast. ¹³ These have one purpose and they give their power and authority to the beast. ¹⁴ These will make war with the Lamb and the Lamb will overcome them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those called and chosen and faithful with him.

¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war. ¹² His eyes are a flame of fire, and on his head are many crowns. He had a name written which no one knows but he himself. ¹³ He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and His name is The Word of God. ¹⁴ The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses, and dressed in fine linen, white and clean. ¹⁵ And from His mouth proceeds a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God, the Almighty. ¹⁶ and on his robe and on his thigh he has this name written-- 'KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.' ¹⁷ Then I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he cried out in a loud voice to all the birds flying overhead, “Come, gather together for the great supper of God, ¹⁸ so that you may eat the flesh of kings and commanders and mighty men, of horses and riders, of all men slave and free, small and great.” ¹⁹ Then I saw the beast, the kings of the earth, and their armies gathered to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. ²⁰ But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed signs on his behalf, by which he deceived those who had the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. Both of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. ²¹ The rest were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of him who sat on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves upon their bodies.

⁸ and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to assemble them for battle. Their number is like the sand of the seashore. ⁹ They came up on the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, and the beloved city. Then fire came down from heaven and consumed them.

¹⁵ And I will put enmity between you and the woman and between your seed and her seed. He will bruise your head and you will bruise his heel.

¹⁰ Those who contend with the LORD will be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in heaven. the LORD will judge the ends of the earth and he will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.

²¹ Yea, God will crush the head of His enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks on in his guilt.

⁴ He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples. They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

³ His delight will be in the fear of the LORD. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears;

² For the LORD is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter. ³ Their slain also will be cast out. And the stench of their dead bodies will come up and the mountains will be melted with their blood. ⁴ And all the powers of the heavens shall melt, and the sky shall be rolled up like a scroll; and all the stars shall fall like leaves from a vine, and as leaves fall from a fig tree. ⁵ For my sword saturates in the heavens: behold, it descends on Edom and on the people of my devotement to judgment. ⁶ The sword of the LORD is filled with blood; it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD has a sacrifice in Bozrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom. ⁷ Wild oxen will be killed with them, young bulls along with rams. Their land will be drenched with blood. Their dust will be covered with fat. ⁸ For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of retribution for the strife of Zion.

¹ "Look my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom my soul delights. I have put my Spirit on him; he will bring justice to the nations.

⁴ He will not fail nor be discouraged, until he has set justice in the earth, and the islands wait for his law.”

² When you pass through the waters, I will be with you, and through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned, and flame will not scorch you. ³ For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior. I have given Egypt as your ransom, Ethiopia and Seba in your stead. ⁴ Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life.

⁵ "My righteousness is near. My salvation is on the way and my arm (power) will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope for my arm (power).

¹⁶ For by fire and by His sword the LORD will execute judgment with all flesh; and the slain of the LORD will be many. ¹⁷ Those who sanctify themselves and purify themselves to go to the gardens, behind one in the midst, eating swine's flesh and the abomination and the mouse, they will come to an end together, says the LORD.

²⁴ “They will go out, and look at the dead bodies of the men who have transgressed against me; for their worm will not die, nor will their fire be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.”

²¹ "'I will call for a sword against Gog on all my mountains,' declares the Sovereign LORD. 'Every man's sword will be against his brother. ²² And I will execute judgment on him, with pestilence and blood and with tempests of rain and hailstones; and I will rain down fire and brimstone on him, and on all with him, even on the many nations with him.

⁴ On the mountains of Israel you will fall, you and all of your troops, and the peoples who are with you, to birds of prey, birds of every wing, and animals of the field I will give you as food.

¹¹ " '"And then on that day I will give to Gog a grave there in Israel, The Valley of the Travelers, east of the sea, and it will block the travelers and Gog and all of his hordes they will bury there, and they will call it the Valley of Hamon-Gog. ¹² "'For seven months the house of Israel will be burying them in order to cleanse the land. ¹³ All of the people of the land will bury them, and it will be an honor for them on the day when I appear," ' declares the Sovereign LORD. ¹⁴ And men for continual employment they separate, passing on through the land, burying with those passing by those who are left on the face of the earth, to cleanse it: at the end of seven months they search. ¹⁵ "'As those who pass through the land pass through and anyone sees a man's bone, then he will set up a marker by it until the buriers have buried it in the valley of Hamon-gog. ¹⁶ And the name of the city shall be Amona, and they shall cleanse the land. ¹⁷ "As for you, son of man, the Sovereign LORD says: 'Speak to every kind of bird and to every beast of the field: "Assemble and come, gather from every side to my sacrifice that I am going to sacrifice for you. It is a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood. ¹⁸ "'You will eat the flesh of mighty men and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, as though they were rams, lambs, goats and bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan."' ¹⁹ Eat the fat your belly full, and drink blood till ye be drunken of the slaughter, which I have slain unto you. ²⁰ "'You will be glutted at my table with horses and charioteers, with mighty men and all the men of war,' declares the Sovereign LORD.

¹² Let the nations, be roused, and come up, into the Vale of Jehoshaphat,—for, there, will I sit to judge all the nations, on every side. ¹³ (4:13) Put forth the sickle; for the harvest is ripe: come, tread down the grapes; for the press is full; the vats overflow; for great is their wickedness. ¹⁴ Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision. For the day of the LORD is near, in the valley of decision. ¹⁵ The sun and moon will grow dark, and the stars will stop shining. ¹⁶ the LORD will roar from Zion, and thunder from Jerusalem; the heavens and the earth will shake, but the LORD will be a refuge for His people, and a stronghold to the children of Israel.

³ And he will judge between many peoples and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. And they will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning-hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, nor will they learn war any more.

¹³ You went out for the salvation of your people, for the salvation of your anointed. You crushed the head of the land of wickedness. You stripped them head to foot. Selah.

²² For the Father judges no one, but has given all judgment to the Son,

²⁰ The 'grapes were trodden in the press' outside the city; and blood came out of the press, rising as high as the bridles of the horses for a distance of two hundred miles.

¹¹ Then I saw heaven standing open, and there before me was a white horse. And its rider is called Faithful and True. With righteousness He judges and wages war.

⁵ Gideon took the men to the water. the LORD told him: "Separate everyone who laps up the water with his tongue like a dog, from everyone who gets down on his knees to drink." ⁶ There were three hundred men who scooped up water in their hands and lapped it. The others got down on their knees to drink.

²⁰ Let his own eyes see his destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of the Almighty.

³ But you, LORD, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

⁶ Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies, even those who surround me. I will sacrifice in his tent with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melodies to the LORD.

⁹ I have eaten ashes as food and mixed my drink with tears

¹¹ After his suffering he will see the light and be satisfied. By his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many. He will bear their iniquities. ¹² Therefore I will divide him a portion with the great and he will divide the spoil with the strong, because he poured out his soul to death and was numbered with the transgressors. Yet he bore the sin of many and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹⁵ Therefore the LORD of Armies says concerning the prophets: “Behold, I will feed them with wormwood, and make them drink poisoned water; for from the prophets of Jerusalem ungodliness has gone out into all the land.”

³¹ And it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty-fifth day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the [first] year of his reign, lifted u

²² "None of you know what you are asking," said Jesus. "Can you drink the cup which I am about to drink?" "We can," they replied.

⁴² He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if this cup cannot go away unless I drink it, let your will be done."

²⁶ Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and enter his glory?"

¹¹ Jesus said to Peter: "Put the sword in the sheath. Shall I drink the cup the Father has given me?"

⁷ but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in human likeness. ⁸ And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to deatheven death on a cross. ⁹ Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place, and gave Him the name above all names, ¹⁰ that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, ¹¹ and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

⁹ But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone. ¹⁰ In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting for God, for whom and through whom all things exist, to make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through suffering.

¹¹ trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow.
