¹⁸ "Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD. Why do you long for the day of the LORD? It is darkness, and not light. ¹⁹ It will be as if a man fled from a lion and a bear met him; or he went into the house and leaned his hand against the wall and a snake bit him. ²⁰ Will not the Day of the LORD be darkness, and not light pitch black at that, without a ray of sunshine?"

⁶ And the angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, he has kept in eternal chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day,

¹³ They are wild waves of the sea, foaming up their own shame; wandering stars, for whom blackest darkness has been reserved forever.
