⁵ Thus says God, the LORD, he who created the heavens and stretched them out, he who spread out the earth and that which comes out of it, he who gives breath to its people and spirit to those who walk in it.

¹⁰ And God called the dry land Earth, and the gatherings of the waters he called Seas, and God saw that it was good. ¹¹ Then God said: "Let the earth sprout vegetation, plants yielding seed, and fruit trees on the earth bearing fruit after their kind with seed in them." It was so. ¹² The earth sprouted vegetation, plants yielding seed after their kind, and trees bearing fruit, with its seed in it, after their kind; and God saw that it was good.

²⁴ God said: "Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move along the ground, and wild animals, each according to its kind." It was so. ²⁵ God made the wild animals according to their kinds. He made the livestock according to their kinds and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. God saw that it was good.

⁷ the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life. The man became a living being.

⁶ By the word of the LORD were the heavens made, and all the hosts of them by the breath of his mouth.

²⁵ In the beginning You, O Lord, laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of Your hands. ²⁶ "They will perish, but you endure. All of them will wear out like a garment; like clothing you will renew them and they will be renewed.

² He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain. ³ He lays the beams of his chambers in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind. ⁴ He makes winds his angels, and flames of fire his servants. ⁵ He laid the earth on its foundations; it shall not be shaken forever. ⁶ You covered it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains. ⁷ At your rebuke they fled; at the sound of your thunder they ran off. ⁸ they ascend by the mountains; they descend by the valleys to the place you founded for them. ⁹ You have set a boundary they cannot cross; they will never again cover the earth. ¹⁰ He causes springs to gush forth into rivers that flow between the mountains. ¹¹ They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild donkeys quench their thirst. ¹² The birds of the sky nest by them, they sing among the branches. ¹³ He watereth the mountains from his upper-chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of thy works. ¹⁴ He causes grass to sprout for the cattle and plants for people to cultivate, to produce food from the land, ¹⁵ and wine that gladdens the heart of man and oil to make his face to shine and bread that strengthens man's heart. ¹⁶ The trees of the LORD are satisfied the cedars of Lebanon that He planted; ¹⁷ where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees. ¹⁸ The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies ¹⁹ He made the moon for seasons; the sun knows its going down. ²⁰ You bring darkness and it becomes night; when every beast of the forest prowls. ²¹ The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God. ²² The sun rises, and they steal away, and lie down in their dens. ²³ Man goes out to his work, to his labor until the evening. ²⁴ How manifold are Thy works, O LORD! In wisdom hast Thou made them all; the earth is full of Thy creatures. ²⁵ The sea is so big and wide with many creatures, living things both large and small. ²⁶ There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there. ²⁷ They all wait for you to give them their food at the proper time. ²⁸ You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good. ²⁹ You hide your face, they are terrified. You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust. ³⁰ When you send your spirit, they are created, and you replenish the surface of the earth. ³¹ May the glory of the LORD endure for ever; let the LORD rejoice in His works! ³² He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke. ³³ I will sing to the LORD all my life. I will sing praise to my God as long as I exist. ³⁴ May my meditation be pleasing to him. I will be glad in the LORD. ³⁵ Let the sinners perish from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless the LORD, O my soul. Praise the LORD!

⁶ to Him who spread out the earth above the waters; for His grace endures forever:

¹² Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the span of his hand marked off the heavens? Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance of the scale?

²² He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.

²⁸ "Do you not know? Have you not heard? the LORD IS THE EVERLASTING GOD, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and no one can measure (find out) his understanding.

²⁴ Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, and he who formed you from the womb: "I am the LORD, who makes all things; who alone stretches out the heavens; who spreads out the earth by myself;

¹² I myself made the earth, and I created humankind upon it. I, my hands, stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host.

¹⁸ the LORD says: "Who created the heavens? He who is God. He fashioned and made the earth. He founded it and he did not create it to be empty but formed it to be inhabited." He says: "I am the LORD, and there is no other.

¹³ Yes, my hand has laid the foundation of the earth, and my right hand has spread out the heavens. when I call to them, they stand up together.

¹² He who made the earth by his power, and established the world by his wisdom; also stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

¹⁷ Ah, Sovereign LORD! You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and stretched out arm. Nothing is too great for You.

²³ You've exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. You've had the vessels from his temple brought into your presence. And you, your officials, and your wives and mistresses drank wine from them. You praised gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which can't see, hear, or demonstrate knowledge. But you didn't honor God, who holds in his power your very life and all your ways.

⁶ He who builds his chambers in the heavens and has founded his vault upon the earth, he who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out upon the face of the earth, the LORD is his name.

¹ An oracle. The word of the LORD concerning Israel. The LORD, who stretches out the heavens, and lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him says:

²⁵ Nor is He served by human hands, as if He needed anything, because He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else.

² But in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe.

¹⁰ And, "In the beginning, Lord, you laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands. ¹¹ They will perish, but You remain; They will all wear out like a garment. ¹² You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed; but You remain the same, and Your years will never end.”
