Hebrews 3:17 Cross References - VIN

¹⁷ And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness?

²² For all the men having seen my glory and my signs which I did in Egypt and in the desert, and they will try me this ten times, they heard not to my voice.

²⁹ in this desert your corpses will fall, and all your counted ones, according to all your number, from twenty years old and above who grumbled against me.

³² But, your own dead bodies, shall fall in this desert; ³³ "'Your children will be shepherds in the desert for forty years. They will suffer for your unfaithfulness until the last of your bodies lies dead in the desert.

⁶⁴ And among these there was not a man of those counted by Moses and Aaron the priest, who counted the Israelites in the desert of Sinai. ⁶⁵ for the LORD had said to them that they would die, yea die in the wilderness. And not a man of them was left save Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

¹⁵ For his hand was against them, that they should perish from the midst of the camp. ¹⁶ "And so all the soldiers among the people died.

²² Speak, So says the LORD, Even the bodies of men shall fall as dung on the open field, and as the swath after the reaper, and no one shall gather them .

¹ I do not want you to be unaware, brothers, that our forefathers were all under the cloud, and that they all passed through the sea. ² They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea. ³ They all ate the same spiritual food ⁴ and drank the same spiritual drink; for they drank from the spiritual rock that accompanied them, and that rock was Christ. ⁵ For all that, God was not pleased with most of them—their carcasses were scattered around the desert! ⁶ These things took place as examples to keep us from craving evil things as they did. ⁷ Do not be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written: “The people sat down to eat and to drink, and got up to revel in idolatry.” ⁸ We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did, and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died. ⁹ We should not test Christ, as some of them did, and were killed by snakes. ¹⁰ And do not complain, as some of them did, and were killed by the destroying angel. ¹¹ Now these things happened to them as examples and were written down as warnings for us, on whom the fulfillment of the ages has come. ¹² So that he that thinks to stand, let him be careful that he not fall. ¹³ No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide an escape, so that you can stand up under it.

⁵ Although you are fully aware of this, I want to remind you that after Jesus had delivered His people out of the land of Egypt, He destroyed those who did not believe.
