¹ And they brought the ark of God and set it inside the tent that David had pitched for it. And they offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings before God.

¹⁷ They brought in the ark of the LORD, and set it in its place, in the midst of the tent that David had pitched for it; and David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before the LORD. ¹⁸ David finished sacrificing the burnt offerings and the fellowship offerings. Then he blessed the people in the name of the LORD Almighty. ¹⁹ He also distributed to all the people, to the whole crowd of Israelites, men and women, one loaf of bread, one date cake, and one raisin cake. Then all the people went home.

⁵ King Solomon and the entire congregation of Israel that had assembled to be with him stood in front of the ark, sacrificing so many sheep and oxen that they were neither counted nor inventoried. ⁶ The priests brought the ark of the covenant of Yahweh to its place in the inner sanctuary of the house, to the ⌊most holy place⌋, under the wings of the cherubim,

¹ And David made houses for himself in the City of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched a tent for it.

¹² He said to them: "You are the heads of the Levite families. You and your brothers must perform the ceremonies to make yourselves holy. Then bring the Ark of the LORD the God of Israel to the place I prepared for it.

⁴ But David had brought the ark of God up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.

⁶ And King Solomon and the whole community of Israel that was assembled before him were before the ark, sacrificing sheep and cattle that could not be counted nor numbered for abundance. ⁷ The priests brought in the ark of the LORD's covenant to its place, into the inner sanctuary of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubim.

¹⁶ And the Israelites, the priests, the Levites, and the rest of the returned exiles celebrated the dedication of this house of God with joy. ¹⁷ They offered at the dedication of this house of God one hundred bulls, two hundred rams, four hundred lambs; and for a sin offering for all Israel, twelve male goats, according to the number of the tribes of Israel. ¹⁸ And they set the priests in their divisions, and the Levites in their separate orders, for the services of God in Jerusalem, according to the writing of the Book of Moses

⁸ Arise, LORD, and go to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength.
