¹³ Whoever despises the Word shall be destroyed: But he that fears the commandment shall be rewarded.

³¹ Because he has despised the word of the LORD, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.

⁹ Why have you despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight? You have killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword, and have taken his wife to be your wife, and have slain him with the sword of the children of Ammon. ¹⁰ Now therefore the sword shall never depart from your house; because you have despised me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife.

³ Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the wives, and such as are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those that tremble at the commandment of our God; and let it be done according to the law.

¹¹ Moreover, by them Your servant is warned: And in keeping them there is great reward.

¹³ He will bless those who fear the LORD, both small and great.

¹⁶⁵ Those who love Your law have great peace: And nothing shall offend them.

²⁵ but you have disregarded all my counsel, and would have none of my reproof:

³⁰ They would have none of my counsel: They despised all my reproof. ³¹ Therefore they shall eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

²¹ Evil pursues sinners: But to the righteous good shall be repaid.

² For all those things My hand has made, and all those things have been in existence", said the LORD: "but to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.

¹³ But the house of Israel rebelled against Me in the wilderness: They did not walk in My statutes, and they despised My judgments, which if a man do, he shall even live in them; and they greatly polluted My Sabbaths: Then I said, 'I will pour out My fury upon them in the wilderness, to consume them.'

¹⁶ because they despised My judgments, and did not walk in My statutes, but polluted My Sabbaths: For their heart went after their idols.

²⁴ because they had not executed My judgments, but had despised My statutes, and had polluted My Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers' idols.

²⁸ He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: ²⁹ Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, shall he be thought worthy, who has tread underfoot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant, with which he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and has extreme malice toward the Spirit of grace?

⁸ Look to yourselves, that we do not lose those things which we have worked for, but that we receive a full reward.
