¹⁹ God lays up his iniquity for his children: He rewards him, and he shall know it.

⁷ If you do well, shall you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And his desire shall be toward you, and you shall rule over him.

⁵ You shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them: For I the LORD your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those that hate Me;

³⁴ Is not this laid up in store with me, and sealed up among my treasures?

⁴¹ If I whet my glittering sword, and my hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my enemies, and will reward those that hate me.

³⁹ And I am this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: The LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness.

²⁴ Then you shall lay up gold as dust, and the gold of Ophir as the stones of the brooks.

⁵ He shall reward evil to my enemies: Cut them off in Your truth.

⁹ Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow. ¹⁰ Let his children continually be vagabonds, and beg; let them also seek their bread out of their desolate places. ¹¹ Let the extortioner catch all that he has; and let the strangers spoil his labor. ¹² Let there be none to extend mercy to him: Neither let there be any to favor his fatherless children. ¹³ Let his posterity be cut off; and in the generation following, let their name be blotted out. ¹⁴ Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the LORD; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out. ¹⁵ Let them be continually be before the LORD, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth ¹⁶ Because he did not remember to show mercy, but persecuted the poor and needy man, that he might even slay the broken in heart. ¹⁷ As he loved cursing, so let it come to him: As he delighted not in blessing, so let it be far from him. ¹⁸ As he clothed himself with cursing as with a garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like oil into his bones. ¹⁹ Let it be to him as the garment which covers him, and for a girdle with which he is continually girded. ²⁰ Let this be the reward of my adversaries from the LORD, and of those who speak evil against my soul. ²¹ But do this for me, O GOD the Lord, for Your name's sake: Because Your mercy is good, deliver me. ²² For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded within me. ²³ I am gone like the shadow when it declines: I am tossed up and down as the locust. ²⁴ My knees are weak through fasting; and my flesh fails without fatness. ²⁵ I also became a reproach to them: When they looked upon Me they shook their heads. ²⁶ Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to Your mercy: ²⁷ That they may know that this is Your hand; that You, LORD, have done it. ²⁸ Let them curse, but You bless: When they arise, let them be ashamed; but let Your servant rejoice. ²⁹ Let my adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle. ³⁰ I will greatly praise the LORD with my mouth; yes, I will praise Him among the multitude. ³¹ For He shall stand at the right hand of the poor, to save him from those who condemn his soul.

²¹ Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

⁴ Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: Yet we had esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. ⁵ But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities: The chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed. ⁶ All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and the LORD has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

²⁹ "In those days they shall say no more, 'The fathers have eaten a sour grape, and the children's teeth are set on edge.'

¹⁴ Now, lo, if he beget a son, who sees all his father's sins which he has done, and considers, and does not such like,

¹⁹ Yet you say, "Why? Does not the son bear the iniquity of the father? When the son has done that which is lawful and right, and has kept all My statutes, and has done them, he shall surely live. ²⁰ The soul that sins, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: The righteousness of the righteous shall be on him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be on him.

¹⁸ Then you all shall return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not serve Him.

¹⁹ Do not store up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust corrupts, and where thieves break in and steal: ²⁰ But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust corrupts, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

²⁷ For the Son of Man shall come in the glory of His Father with His angels; and then He shall reward every man according to his works.

³¹ Therefore you are witnesses against yourselves, that you are the children of those who killed the prophets. ³² Fill up then the measure of your fathers. ³³ You serpents, you generation of vipers, how can you escape the damnation of hell? ³⁴ Therefore, behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes: And some of them you shall kill and crucify; and some of them you shall scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city: ³⁵ That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar.

⁵ But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you treasure up for yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

²¹ For He has made Him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him.

¹⁴ Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: The Lord reward him according to his works:

⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double to her two-fold more according to her works: With the cup which she has filled, pour out to her double.
