¹ In that day this song shall be sung in the land of Judah; "We have a strong city; God will appoint salvation for walls and bulwarks. ² Open the gates, that the righteous nation which keeps the truth may enter in. ³ You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: Because he trusts in You. ⁴ Trust in the LORD forever: For in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength: ⁵ For He brings down those who dwell on high; the lofty city, He lays it low; He lays it low, even to the ground; He brings it even to the dust. ⁶ The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy." ⁷ The way of the just is uprightness: You, Most Upright, do weigh the path of the just. ⁸ Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is to Your name, and to the remembrance of You. ⁹ With my soul I have desired You in the night; yes, with my spirit within me I will seek You early: For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness. ¹⁰ Let favor be shown to the wicked, yet he will not learn righteousness: In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the majesty of the LORD. ¹¹ LORD, when Your hand is lifted up, they will not see: But they shall see, and be ashamed for their envy of the people; yes, the fire of Your enemies shall devour them. ¹² LORD, You will ordain peace for us: For You have also worked all our works in us. ¹³ O LORD our God, other lords beside You have had dominion over us: But by only You will we make mention of Your name. ¹⁴ They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: Therefore You have visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. ¹⁵ You have increased the nation, O LORD, You have increased the nation: You are glorified: You had removed it far to all the ends of the earth. ¹⁶ LORD, in trouble they have visited You, they poured out a prayer when Your chastening was on them. ¹⁷ Like a woman with child, that draws near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and cries out in her pangs; so have we been in Your sight, O LORD. ¹⁸ We have been with child, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not worked any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen. ¹⁹ Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust: For your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead. ²⁰ Come, My people, enter into your chambers, and shut your doors behind you: Hide yourself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation pass over. ²¹ For, behold, the LORD comes out of His place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: The earth also shall disclose her blood, and will no longer cover her slain.

² The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him. ³ The LORD is a Man of war: The LORD is His name. ⁴ Pharaoh's chariots and his army He has cast into the sea: His chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea. ⁵ The depths have covered them: They sank into the bottom as a stone. ⁶ Your right hand, O LORD, has become glorious in power: Your right hand, O LORD, has dashed the enemy in pieces. ⁷ And in the greatness of Your excellency You have overthrown those that rose up against You: You sent forth Your wrath, which consumed them as stubble. ⁸ And with the blast of Your nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as a heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea. ⁹ The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.' ¹⁰ You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them: They sank as lead in the mighty waters. ¹¹ Who is like You, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? ¹² You stretched out Your right hand, the earth swallowed them. ¹³ You in Your mercy have led forth the people which You have redeemed: You have guided them in Your strength to Your holy habitation. ¹⁴ The people shall hear, and be afraid: Sorrow shall take hold on the inhabitants of Palestina. ¹⁵ Then the dukes of Edom shall be amazed; the mighty men of Moab, trembling shall take hold upon them; all the inhabitants of Canaan shall melt away. ¹⁶ Fear and dread shall fall upon them; by the greatness of Your arm they shall be as still as a stone; until Your people pass over, O LORD, until the people which You have purchased pass over. ¹⁷ You shall bring them in, and plant them in the mountain of Your inheritance, in the place, O LORD, which You have made for Yourself to dwell in, in the Sanctuary, O LORD, which Your hands have established. ¹⁸ The LORD shall reign forever and ever. ¹⁹ For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and the LORD brought again the waters of the sea upon them; but the children of Israel went on dry land in the midst of the sea. ²⁰ And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dances. ²¹ And Miriam answered them, "Sing to the LORD, for He has triumphed gloriously; He has thrown the horse and his rider into the sea."

¹⁷ Then Israel sang this song, Spring up, O well; sing you to it:

¹ Then sang Deborah and Barak the son of Abinoam on that day, saying, ² praise you the LORD for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves. ³ Hear, O you kings; give ear, O you princes; I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel. ⁴ LORD, when you went out of Seir, when you marched out of the field of Edom, the earth trembled, and heaven dropped, the clouds also dropped water. ⁵ The mountains melted from before the LORD, even that Sinai from before the LORD God of Israel. ⁶ In the days of Shamgar the son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were unoccupied, and the travelers walked through byways. ⁷ The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel. ⁸ They chose new gods; then was war in the gates: Was there a shield or spear seen among forty thousand in Israel? ⁹ My heart is toward the governors of Israel, that offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless you the LORD. ¹⁰ Speak, you that ride on white donkeys, you that sit in judgment, and walk by the highway. ¹¹ Those that are delivered from the noise of archers in the places of drawing water, there shall they rehearse the righteous acts of the LORD, even the righteous acts toward the inhabitants of his villages in Israel: Then shall the people of the LORD go down to the gates. ¹² Awake, awake, Deborah: Awake, awake, utter a song: Arise, Barak, and lead your captivity captive, you son of Abinoam. ¹³ Then he made him that remains have dominion over the nobles among the people: The LORD made me have dominion over the mighty. ¹⁴ Out of Ephraim was there a root of them against Amalek; after you, Benjamin, among your people; out of Machir came down governors, and out of Zebulun those that handle the pen of the writer. ¹⁵ And the princes of Issachar were with Deborah; even Issachar, and also Barak: He was sent on foot into the valley. Asher continued upon the seashore, and stayed in his breaches. ¹⁸ Zebulun and Naphtali were a people that risked their lives to the death in the high places of the field. ¹⁹ The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money. ²⁰ They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. ²¹ The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. Why tarry the wheels of his chariots? ²⁹ Her wise ladies answered her, yes, she returned answer to herself, ³⁰ have they not sped? Have they not divided the prey; to every man a damsel or two; to Sisera a prey of diverse colors, a prey of diverse colors of needlework, of diverse colors of needlework on both sides, meet for the necks of those that take the spoil? ³¹ So let all your enemies perish, O LORD: But let those that love him be as the sun when he goes forth in his might. And the land had rest forty years.

¹ And David spoke to the LORD the words of this song in the day that the LORD had delivered him out of the hand of all his enemies, and out of the hand of Saul: ² And he said, "The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; ³ the God of my rock; in him will I trust: He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my savior; you save me from violence. ⁴ I will call upon the LORD, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from my enemies. ⁵ When the waves of death compassed around me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; ⁶ the sorrows of hell compassed me about; the snares of death prevented me; ⁷ in my distress I called on the LORD, and cried out to my God: And he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears. ⁸ Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations of heaven moved and shook, because he was wroth. ⁹ There went up a smoke out of His nostrils, and fire out of His mouth devoured: Coals were kindled by it. ¹⁰ He bowed heaven also, and came down; and darkness was under his feet. ¹¹ And he rode on a cherub, and did fly: And he was seen on the wings of the wind. ¹² And he made darkness pavilions all around him, dark waters, and thick clouds of the skies. ¹³ Through the brightness before him were coals of fire kindled. ¹⁴ The LORD thundered from heaven, and the most High uttered his voice. ¹⁵ And he sent out arrows, and scattered them; lightning, and discomfited them. ¹⁶ And the channels of the sea appeared, the foundations of the world were discovered, at the rebuking of the LORD, at the blast of the breath of his nostrils. ¹⁷ He sent from above, he took me; he drew me out of many waters; ¹⁸ he delivered me from my strong enemy, and from those that hated me: For they were too strong for me. ¹⁹ They hindered me in the day of my calamity: But the LORD was my stay. ²⁰ He brought me forth also into a large place: He delivered me, because he delighted in me. ²¹ The LORD rewarded me according to my righteousness: According to the cleanness of my hands He has recompensed me. ²² For I have kept the ways of the LORD, and have not wickedly departed from my God. ²³ For all his judgments were before me: And as for his statutes, I did not depart from them. ²⁴ I also was upright before Him, and have kept myself from my iniquity. ²⁵ Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness; according to my cleanness in his eye sight. ²⁶ With the merciful you will show yourself merciful, and with the upright man you will show yourself upright. ²⁷ With the pure you will show yourself pure; and with the froward you will show yourself unsavory. ²⁸ And the afflicted people you will save: But your eyes are on the haughty, that you may bring them down. ²⁹ For you are my lamp, O LORD: And the LORD will lighten my darkness. ³⁰ For by You I have run through a troop: By my God I have leaped over a wall.run; or, broken ³¹ As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is proven: He is a buckler shield to all those that trust in him. ³² For who is God, save the LORD? And who is a rock, save our God? ³³ God is my strength and power: And he makes my way perfect. ³⁴ He makes my feet like hinds' feet: And sets me on my high places. ³⁵ He teaches my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by my arms. ³⁶ You have also given me the shield of your salvation: And your gentleness has made me great. ³⁷ You have enlarged my steps under me; so that my feet did not slip. ³⁸ I have pursued my enemies, and destroyed them; and turned not again until I had consumed them. ³⁹ And I have consumed them, and wounded them, that they could not arise: Yes, they are fallen under my feet. ⁴⁰ For you have girded me with strength to battle: Them that rose up against me have you subdued under me. ⁴¹ You have also given me the necks of my enemies, that I might destroy those that hate me. ⁴² They looked, but there was none to save; even to the LORD, but He did not answer them. ⁴³ Then did I beat them as small as the dust of the earth, I did stamp them as the mire of the street, and did spread them abroad. ⁴⁴ You also have delivered me from the strivings of my people, you have kept me to be head of the heathen: A people which I did not know shall serve me. ⁴⁵ Strangers shall submit themselves to me: As soon as they hear, they shall be obedient to me. ⁴⁶ Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be afraid out of their enclosed places. ⁴⁷ The LORD lives; and blessed be my rock; and exalted be the God of the rock of my salvation. ⁴⁸ It is God that avenges me, and that brings down the people under me. ⁴⁹ And that brings me forth from my enemies: You also have lifted me up on high above those that rose up against me: You have delivered me from the violent man. ⁵⁰ Therefore I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the heathen, and I will sing praises to your name. ⁵¹ He is the tower of salvation for his king: And shows mercy to his anointed, to David, and to his seed forevermore.

¹¹ And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks to the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endures forever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid.

²¹ Blessed be the LORD: For He has showed me His marvelous kindness in a strong city.

¹² Walk about Zion, and go all around her: Count her towers.

³ For those that carried us away captive required a song from us there; and those that wasted us required mirth from us, saying, "Sing us one of the songs of Zion." ⁴ How shall we sing the LORD'S song in a strange land?

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

²⁰ In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

¹ Now I will sing to my well Beloved a song of my Beloved touching His vineyard. My well Beloved has a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:

¹ And in that day you shall say, "O LORD, I will praise You: Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comforted me.

²¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones that are on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. ²² And they shall be gathered together, as prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days they shall be visited. ²³ Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in Mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his elders gloriously.

⁹ And it shall be said in that day, "See, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: This is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation."

¹ In that day the LORD shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent with His severe and great and strong sword, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and He shall slay the dragon that is in the sea. ² In that day sing to her, "A vineyard of red wine.

¹⁸ Violence shall no longer be heard in your land, neither wasting nor destruction within your borders; but you shall call your walls Salvation, and your gates Praise.

¹¹ Behold, the LORD has proclaimed to the end of the world, "Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Behold, your salvation comes; behold, His reward is with Him, and His work before Him.' "

¹¹ the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those that shall say, "Praise the LORD of hosts: For the LORD is good; for his mercy endures forever": And of those that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first', said the LORD.

⁵ For I', says the LORD, 'will be to her a wall of fire all around, and will be the glory in the midst of her.' "

¹⁸ And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this Rock you declared I will build My church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

¹⁹ speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; ²⁰ giving thanks always for all things to God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

¹ And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, to the Lord our God: ² For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." ³ And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever." ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia." ⁵ Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great." ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a large multitude, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns. ⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."

¹² and had a large and high wall, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written on them, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: ¹³ On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. ¹⁴ And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. ¹⁵ And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, its gates, and its wall. ¹⁶ And the city lies four-square, and the length is as large as the breadth: And he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length, breadth, and height of it are equal.12000 furlongs is approximately 1500 miles or 2414 kilometers. ¹⁷ Then he measured its wall, one hundred and forty-four cubits, according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.144 Roman cubits is approximately 209 feet or 63.6 meters. ¹⁸ And its wall was built of jasper: And the city was pure gold, like clear glass. ¹⁹ And the foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation was jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; ²⁰ the fifth, sardonyx; the sixth, sardius; the seventh, chrysolite; the eighth, beryl; the ninth, a topaz; the tenth, a chrysoprase; the eleventh, a jacinth; the twelfth, an amethyst.sardius; or, ruby ²¹ And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; every distinct gate was of one pearl: And the street of the city was pure gold, even like transparent glass. ²² And I saw no temple in it: For the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.

⁶ And you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.' These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel."

⁶ Keep therefore and do them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, "Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people. ⁷ For what nation is there so great, who has God so near to them, as the LORD our God is in all things that we call on him for? ⁸ And what nation is there so great, that has statutes and judgments so righteous as all this law, which I set before you this day?

⁵ that I may see the good of Your chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of Your nation, that I may glory with Your inheritance.

²⁰ This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.

¹⁴ In righteousness shall you be established: You shall be far from oppression; for you shall not fear: And far from terror; for it shall not come near you.

⁸ Then your light shall break forth like the morning, and your health shall spring forth speedily: And your righteousness shall go before you; the glory of the LORD shall be your rear-guard.

¹¹ Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring to you the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.

²¹ Your people shall all be righteous also: They shall inherit the land forever, the branch of My planting, the work of My hands, that I may be glorified.

² And the Gentiles shall see your righteousness, and all kings your glory: And you shall be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.

¹⁰ Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people.

³¹ And the gates of the city shall be named after the tribes of Israel: Three gates northward; one gate of Reuben, one gate of Judah, one gate of Levi. ³² And at the east side four thousand and five hundred: And three gates; and one gate of Joseph, one gate of Benjamin, one gate of Dan. ³³ And at the south side four thousand and five hundred measures: And three gates; one gate of Simeon, one gate of Issachar, one gate of Zebulun. ³⁴ At the west side four thousand and five hundred, with their three gates; one gate of Gad, one gate of Asher, one gate of Naphtali.

²⁰ Thus says the LORD of hosts; 'It shall yet come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities:

⁴⁷ praising God, and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those such as should be saved.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light:

¹³ Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

³ Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write to you about the common salvation, it was necessary for me to write to you, and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints.

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation;

²⁴ And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in the light of it: And the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it.

²⁰ And they were helped against them, and the Hagarites were delivered into their hand, and all that were with them: For they cried out to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them; because they put their trust in him.

¹⁸ Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the LORD God of their fathers.

⁸ Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? Yet, because you did rely on the LORD, he delivered them into your hand.

¹⁰ And those that know Your name will put their trust in You: For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.

⁷ Show us Your mercy, O LORD, and grant us Your salvation. ⁸ I will hear what God the LORD will speak: For He will speak peace to His people, and to His saints: But let them not turn again to folly.

⁶ For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given: And the government shall be upon His shoulder: And His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. ⁷ Of the increase of His government and peace there shall be no end, on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from now on even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

¹ Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they do not look to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!

² For they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; The LORD of hosts is his name.

¹ Thus says the LORD, "Where is the bill of your mother's divorce, whom I have put away? Or which of My creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities you have sold yourselves, and for your transgressions your mother is put away.

¹⁹ "I create the fruit of the lips; Peace, peace to him who is far off, and to him who is near", said the LORD; "and I will heal him." ²⁰ But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. ²¹ "There is no peace", said my God, "for the wicked."

⁷ Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope is the LORD. ⁸ For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, and which spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaves shall be green; and shall not be anxious in the year of drought, nor shall cease from yielding fruit.

⁵ And this Man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: And when he shall tread in our palaces, then we shall raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men.principal: In Hebrew, princes of

²⁷ Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you: Not as the world gives, do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

³³ These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."

¹⁸ Who, against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, "So shall your seed be." ¹⁹ And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: ²⁰ He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; ²¹ and being fully persuaded that what He had promised, He was able also to perform.

¹ Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

¹⁴ For He is our peace, who has made both [Jew and Gentile] one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation between us; ¹⁵ having abolished in His flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; so as to make in Himself from two one new man, thus making peace; ¹⁶ and that He might reconcile both to God in one body by the cross, having thereby slain the enmity:

⁷ And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

⁴ He is the Rock, his work is perfect: For all his ways are judgment: A God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.

¹⁵ But Jeshurun waxed fat, and kicked: You are waxen fat, you are grown thick, you are covered with fatness; then he forsook God which made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

² There is none holy as the LORD: For there is none beside You: Neither is there any rock like our God.

²⁰ And they rose early in the morning, and went forth into the wilderness of Tekoa: And as they went forth, Jehoshaphat stood and said, "Hear me, O Judah, an d all you inhabitants of Jerusalem; Believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe his prophets, so shall you prosper.

⁸ With him is an arm of flesh; but with us is the LORD our God to help us, and to fight our battles. And the people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.

¹⁹ If I speak of strength, see, he is strong: And if of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead?

² The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

¹ To the chief Musician for the sons of Korah, A Song upon Alamoth. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

²² Cast your burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain you: He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.

⁸ Trust in Him at all times; you people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.

¹¹ God has spoken once; twice I have heard this; that power belongs to God.

⁷ He rules by His power forever; His eyes behold the nations: Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.

¹ The LORD reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, with which He has girded Himself: The world also is established, that it cannot be moved.

¹ A Song of degrees. Those who trust in the LORD shall be as Mount Zion which cannot be removed, but abides forever.

⁵ Trust in the LORD with all your heart; and lean not to your own understanding. ⁶ In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.

² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: For the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation.

¹⁰ Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore you shall plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with strange vine branches:

² And a man shall be like a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

¹⁷ But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: You shall not be ashamed nor confounded for all eternity.

²⁴ Surely, one shall say, 'In the LORD I have righteousness and strength': Even to Him men shall come; and all that are incensed against Him shall be ashamed.

¹⁰ Who is among you that fears the LORD, that obeys the voice of His Servant, that walks in darkness, and has no light? Let him trust in the name of the LORD, and rely upon his God.

¹ Who is this who comes from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? This one who is glorious in His apparel, traveling in the greatness of His strength? "I who speak in righteousness, mighty to save."

¹³ And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For Yours is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.'

¹⁸ And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All power is given to Me in heaven and in earth.

¹³ I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me.

¹¹ Cast abroad the rage of your wrath: And behold everyone that is proud, and abase him. ¹² Look on everyone that is proud, and bring him low; and tread down the wicked in their place. ¹³ Hide them in the dust together; and bind their faces in secret.

¹² For the day of the LORD of hosts shall be on everyone that is proud and lofty, and on everyone that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

¹¹ And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

¹³ For you have said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in uttermost sides of the north:

¹¹ And He shall spread forth His hands in the midst of them, as he who swims spreads forth his hands to swim: And He shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. ¹² And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

¹⁹ when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

¹ Come down, and sit in the dust, O virgin daughter of Babylon, sit on the ground: There is no throne, O daughter of the Chaldeans: For no more shall you be called tender and delicate.

³¹ "Behold, I am against you, O you most proud", said the Lord GOD of hosts: "for your day has come, the time that I will visit you. ³² And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all around him."

²⁵ "Behold, I am against you, O destroying mountain", said the LORD, "which destroys all the earth: And I will stretch out My hand upon you, and roll you down from the rocks, and will make you a burnt mountain. ²⁶ And they shall not take from you a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate forever", said the LORD.

³⁷ And Babylon shall become heaps, a dwelling place for dragons, an astonishment, and a hissing, without an inhabitant.

⁶⁴ And you shall say, 'Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring on her: And they shall be weary.' " Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

² And he cried out mightily with a strong voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the prison-hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

²⁴ And it came to pass, when they brought out those kings to Joshua, that Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the captains of the men of war which went with him, Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings. And they came near, and put their feet on the necks of them.

¹⁵ What do you mean that you beat My people to pieces, and grind the faces of the poor?" said the Lord GOD of hosts.

¹⁰ For the hand of the LORD shall rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

²⁵ I have dug, and drunk water; and with the sole of my feet I have dried up all the rivers of the besieged places."

¹⁴ Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

⁴⁵ Therefore hear the counsel of the LORD, that He has taken against Babylon; and His purposes, that He has purposed against the land of the Chaldeans: Surely the least of the flock shall draw them out: Surely He shall make their habitation desolate with them.

²⁷ And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, Whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

¹¹ In that day you shall not be ashamed for all your doings, in which you have transgressed against Me: For then I will take away out of the midst of you those that rejoice in your pride, and you shall no longer be haughty because of My holy mountain.

³ And all of you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this", says the LORD of hosts.

⁵¹ He has shown strength with His arm; He has scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts. ⁵² He has put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted those of low degree. ⁵³ He has filled the hungry with good things; and the rich He has sent away empty.

¹⁹ Behold, I give to you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: And nothing shall by any means hurt you.

²⁰ And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

²⁶ For you see your calling, brethren, how not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those that love Him?

²⁶ And he that overcomes, and keeps My works to the end, to him I will give power over the nations:

⁹ Behold, I will make those of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you.

² There is none holy as the LORD: For there is none beside You: Neither is there any rock like our God. ³ Do not talk so exceedingly proudly; let not arrogance proceed out of your mouth: For the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by Him actions are weighed. ⁴ The bows of the mighty men are broken, and those that stumbled are girded with strength.

¹⁷ I know also, my God, that You prove the heart through testing, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: And now I have seen with joy Your people, which are present here, to offer willingly to You.

⁵ God forbid that I should justify you: Till I die I will not remove my integrity from me. ⁶ My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go: My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

⁶ let me be weighed in an even balance that God may know my integrity.

⁶ For the LORD knows the way of the righteous: But the way of the ungodly shall perish.

⁴ The LORD is in His holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold and His eyelids examine the children of men.

⁷ For the righteous LORD loves righteousness; His countenance beholds the upright.

²³ I also was upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity. ²⁴ Therefore the LORD has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His eyesight. ²⁵ With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; with an upright man You will show Yourself upright; ²⁶ with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the froward You will show Yourself froward.

⁷ The just man walks in his integrity: His children are blessed after him.

⁸ And a highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: The wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err in it.

¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they did not know; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness become light before them, and crooked things straight. I will do these things to them, and not forsake them.

⁵ The just LORD is in the midst of it; He will not do iniquity: Every morning He brings His judgment to light, He does not fail; but the unjust knows no shame.Every morning: In Hebrew, Morning by morning

⁵ Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and will make manifest the counsels of the hearts: And then every man shall have praise from God.

¹² For our rejoicing is this, the testimony of our conscience, that in simplicity and godly sincerity, not with fleshly wisdom, but by the grace of God, we have had our conversation in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

¹⁰ For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God has ordained beforehand that we should walk in them.

⁷ Little children, let no man deceive you: He that does righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

¹⁰ In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: Whoever does not perform righteousness is not of God, neither is he that does not love his brother.

¹⁵ And moreover God said to Moses, "Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'The LORD God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you: This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.'

¹³ These are the commandments and the judgments, which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses to the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by Jordan near Jericho.

⁵ Although my house be not so with God; yet he has made with me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things, and sure: For this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow.

¹⁰ But he knows the way that I take: When he has tried me, I shall come forth as gold. ¹¹ My foot has held his steps, his way have I kept, and not declined. ¹² Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

¹ How long will You forget me, O LORD? Forever? How long will You hide Your face from me? ² How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

²³ I also was upright before Him, and I kept myself from my iniquity.

³ Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and truly you shall be fed. ⁴ Delight yourself also in the LORD: And He shall give you the desires of your heart. ⁵ Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. ⁶ And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and Your judgment as the noonday. ⁷ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: Do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

¹⁷ All this has come upon us; yet we have not forgotten You, neither have we dealt falsely in Your covenant. ¹⁸ Our heart is not turned back, neither have our steps declined from Your way;

¹ A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; early will I seek You: My soul thirsts for You, my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is; ² to see Your power and Your glory, such as I have seen You in the sanctuary. ³ Because Your lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.

⁶ Which by His strength sets firm the mountains; being girded with power:

²⁵ Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is none on earth that I desire beside you.

¹⁰ And I said, "This is my infirmity: But I will remember the years of the right hand of the most High. ¹¹ I will remember the works of the LORD: Surely I will remember Your wonders of old. ¹² I will also meditate of all Your work, and talk of Your doings.

² My soul longs, yes, even faints for the courts of the LORD: My heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.

³ Blessed are those who keep judgment, and he who does righteousness at all times.

⁵ I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your works; I ponder on the work of Your hands. ⁶ I stretch forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts after You, as a thirsty land. Selah.

² Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: For your love is better than wine. ³ Because of the smell of your good ointments your name is as ointment poured forth, therefore do the virgins love you. ⁴ Draw me, we will run after you: The king has brought me into his chambers: We will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: The upright love you.

³ As the apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. ⁴ He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. ⁵ Sustain me with raisin cakes, comfort me with apples: For I am sick with love.

⁸ I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him, that I am sick with love.

⁴ And in that day you shall say, "Praise the LORD, call on His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted.

¹⁸ And therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you, and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you: For the LORD is a God of judgment: Blessed are all those that wait for Him.

² O LORD, be gracious to us; we have waited for You: Be their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

¹ Thus says the LORD, "All of you keep judgment, and do justice: For My salvation is soon to come, and My righteousness to be revealed.

⁴ For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither has the eye seen, O God, beside You, what He has prepared for Him who waits for Him. ⁵ You meet him who rejoices and works righteousness, those who remember You in Your ways: Behold, You are wroth; for we have sinned: In those is continuance, and we shall be saved.

⁷ Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me.

⁴ "Remember the law of Moses My servant, all of you, which I commanded to him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.

⁶ And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

⁴ And being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but "wait for the Promise of the Father, which", He said, "you have heard from Me.

²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we wait for it with patience.

⁵ And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

⁷ Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receives the early and latter rain. ⁸ You also be patient; establish your hearts: For the coming of the Lord draws near. ⁹ Do not hold a grudge against one another, brethren, lest you be condemned: Behold, the Judge stands before the door. ¹⁰ My brethren, take the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, as an example of suffering affliction, and of patience. ¹¹ Behold, we count them happy who endure. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the ending of the Lord; that the Lord is very compassionate, and of tender mercy.

²¹ But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD. ²² Because all those men which have seen my glory, and my miracles, which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tempted me now these ten times, and have not listened to my voice; ²³ surely they shall not see the land which I swore to their fathers, neither shall any of those that provoked me see it:

¹¹ So that a man shall say, "Truly there is a reward for the righteous: Truly He is a God that judges in the earth."

³⁴ When He slew them, then they sought Him: And they returned and inquired early after God.

¹⁸ That men may know that You, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, are the Most High over all the earth.

⁶² At midnight I will rise to give thanks to You because of Your righteous judgments.

⁶ My soul waits for the Lord more than those that watch for the morning: I say, "more than those that watch for the morning.

¹⁷ I love those who love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.

¹ By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I did not find him. ² I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loves: I sought him, but I did not find him. ³ The watchmen who go about the city found me: To whom I said, "Have you seen him whom my soul loves?" ⁴ It was but a little I passed from them, when I found him whom my soul loves: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her who conceived me.

² I sleep, but my heart wakes: It is the voice of my beloved that knocks, saying, "Open to me, my sister, my love, my dove, my undefiled: For my head is filled with dew, and my locks with the drops of the night." ³ I have put off my coat; how shall I put it on? I have washed my feet; how shall I defile them? ⁴ My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my insides were moved for him. ⁵ I rose up to open to my beloved; and my hands dropped with myrrh, and my fingers with sweet smelling myrrh, on the handles of the lock. ⁶ I opened to my beloved; but my beloved had withdrawn himself, and was gone: My soul failed when he spoke: I sought him, but I could not find him; I called him, but he gave me no answer. ⁷ The watchmen that went about the city found me, they smote me, they wounded me; the keepers of the walls took my veil away from me. ⁸ I charge you, O daughters of Jerusalem, if you find my beloved, that you tell him, that I am sick with love.

⁹ By this therefore the iniquity of Jacob shall be purged; and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin; when he makes all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten to pieces, the wooden pillars and images shall not stand up.

⁶ All of you seek the LORD while He may be found, call on Him while He is near:

¹⁵ I will go and return to My place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek My face: In their affliction they will seek Me early."

³³ But you, seek first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added to you.

³⁵ Then in the morning, rising up a long while before daylight, He went out, and departed into a solitary place, and prayed there.

¹² And it came to pass in those days, that He went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.

¹³ And the same hour there was a strong earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell, and in the earthquake seven thousand men were slain: And the remnant were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁵ But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and did not hearken to them; as the LORD had said.

³¹ And the LORD did according to the word of Moses; and he removed the swarms of flies from Pharaoh, from his servants, and from his people; there did not remain one. ³² And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.

³⁴ And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned even more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

¹⁷ And Samuel said, "When you were little in your own sight, were you not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the LORD anointed you king over Israel?

⁴ Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors: Give them according to the work of their hands; render to them what they deserve. ⁵ Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, nor the operation of His hands, He shall destroy them, and not build them up.

⁵⁴ And He brought them to the border of His sanctuary, even to this mountain, which His right hand had purchased. ⁵⁵ He also cast out the heathen before them, and divided them an inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents. ⁵⁶ Yet they tempted and provoked the most high God, and did not keep His testimonies: ⁵⁷ But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: They were turned aside like a deceitful bow. ⁵⁸ For they provoked Him to anger with their high places, and moved Him to jealousy with their graven images.

⁴³ Many times He delivered them; but they provoked Him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity.

¹⁰ Teach me to do Your will; for You are my God: Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

³² For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them.

¹⁶ And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there.

¹⁰ Enter into the rock, and you shall hide in the dust, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of His majesty.

¹² And the harp, and the viol, the tambourine, and pipe, and wine, are in their feasts: But they do not regard the work of the LORD, neither consider the operation of His hands.

¹² And in that day the Lord GOD of hosts did call for weeping, and for mourning, and for baldness, and for girding with sackcloth: ¹³ And behold joy and gladness, slaying oxen, and killing sheep, eating flesh, and drinking wine: Let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we shall die.

⁵ The earth is also defiled under its inhabitants; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.

⁶ For the vile person will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make the soul of the hungry empty, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

⁹ In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the angel of His presence saved them: In His love and in His pity He redeemed them; and He bore them, and carried them all the days of old. ¹⁰ But they rebelled, and vexed His holy Spirit: Therefore He was turned to be their enemy, and He fought against them.

⁷ And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat its fruit and its goodness; but when you entered, you defiled My land, and made My heritage an abomination.

²³ Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; "As yet they shall use this speech in the land of Judah and in its cities, when I shall bring back their captivity; 'The LORD bless you, O habitation of justice, and mountain of holiness.'

² "Now, you son of man, will you judge, will you judge the bloody city? Yes, you shall show her all her abominations. ³ Then say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD, "The city sheds blood in the midst of it, that her time may come, and makes idols against herself to defile herself. ⁴ You have become guilty in your blood that you have shed; and have defiled yourself in your idols which you have made; and you have caused your days to draw near, and have come to the full measure of your years: Therefore I have made you a reproach to the heathen, and a mocking to all countries. ⁵ Those who are near, and those who are far from you shall mock you, you who are infamous and much vexed. ⁶ Behold, the princes of Israel, everyone in you has used their power to shed blood. ⁷ In you they have set light by father and mother: In the midst of you they have dealt with the stranger by oppression: In you they have vexed the fatherless and the widow. ⁸ You have despised My holy things, and have profaned My Sabbaths. ⁹ In you are men who carry tales to shed blood: And in you they eat upon the mountains: In the midst of you they commit lewdness. ¹⁰ In you they have discovered their fathers' nakedness: In you they have humbled her who was set apart for pollution. ¹¹ And one has committed abomination with his neighbor's wife; and another has lewdly defiled his daughter-in-law; and another in you has humbled his sister, his father's daughter. ¹² In you they have taken gifts to shed blood; you have taken usury and increase, and you have greedily gained from your neighbors by extortion, and have forgotten Me", said the Lord GOD. ¹³ "Behold, therefore I have smitten My hand at your dishonest gain which you have made, and at your blood which has been in the midst of you. ¹⁴ Can your heart endure, or can your hands be strong, in the days that I shall deal with you? I the LORD have spoken it, and will do it. ¹⁵ And I will scatter you among the heathen, and disperse you in the countries, and will consume your filthiness out of you. ¹⁶ And you shall take your inheritance in yourself in the sight of the heathen, and you shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

³ They shall not dwell in the LORD's land; but Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

⁷ And My people are bent to backsliding away from Me: Though they called them to the most High, none would exalt Him at all.

⁶ According to their pasture, so they were filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore they have forgotten Me.

¹⁰ Arise, and depart; for this is not your rest: Because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.

¹⁰ They build up Zion with blood, and Jerusalem with iniquity. ¹¹ The heads of it judge for reward, and its priests teach for hire, and its prophets divine for money: Yet they will lean upon the LORD, and say, "Is not the LORD among us? No evil can come upon us." ¹² Therefore for your sake Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

⁵ Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, and set Him on a pinnacle of the temple,

³⁷ And the Father Himself, which has sent Me, has borne witness of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His shape. ³⁸ And you do not have His word abiding in you: For whom He has sent, Him you do not believe.

⁴ Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance? ⁵ But according to your hardness and impenitent heart you treasure up for yourself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

²¹ And I gave her time to repent of her fornication; and she did not repent.

¹⁴ For at this time I will send all My plagues upon your heart, and upon your servants, and upon your people; that you may know that there is none like Me in all the earth.

And they carried the ark of the God of Israel around to that place. ⁹ And it was so, that after they had carried it around, the hand of the LORD was against the city with a very great destruction: And He smote the men of the city, both small and great, and they had hemorrhoids in their secret parts. ¹⁰ Therefore they sent the ark of God to Ekron. And it came to pass, as the ark of God came to Ekron, that the Ekronites cried out, saying, "They have brought around the ark of the God of Israel to us, to slay us and our people." ¹¹ So they sent and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines, and said, "Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it go again to his own place, that it does not slay us, and our people": For there was a deadly destruction throughout all the city: The hand of God was very heavy there.

⁹ And observe, if it goes up by the roadway of its own border to Beth-Shemesh, then He has done us this great evil: But if not, then we shall know that it is not His hand that smote us. It was a chance that happened to us."

²⁷ because they turned back from him, and would not consider any of his ways:

¹² Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up Your hand: Do not forget the humble.

⁸ Your hand shall find out all Your enemies: Your right hand shall find out those that hate You.

¹⁷ Show me a token for good; that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed: Because You, LORD, have helped me, and comforted me.

²⁴ Therefore as the fire devours the stubble, and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust: Because they have cast away the law of the LORD of hosts, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

¹³ The envy of Ephraim shall also depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

³ All you inhabitants of the world, and dwellers on the earth, you shall see, when he lifts up an ensign upon the mountains; and when he blows a trumpet, you shall hear.

⁹ Those who make a graven image, all of them are vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they do not see, nor know; that they may be ashamed.

¹⁸ They have not known nor understood: For He has shut their eyes, that they cannot see; and their hearts, that they cannot understand.

³ O LORD, are not your eyes upon the truth? You have stricken them, but they have not grieved; You have consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction: They have made their faces harder than a rock; they have refused to return.

²⁸ Yet a small number who escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, and all the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to sojourn there, shall know whose words shall stand, Mine, or their's.

⁹ Your hand shall be lifted up upon your adversaries, and all your enemies shall be cut off.

¹ "For behold, the day comes, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: And the day that comes shall burn them up", says the LORD of hosts, "that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

⁴¹ Then He shall say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that do not know God, and that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:

²⁷ but a certain fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

¹⁶ Having a good conscience; that when they speak evil of you, as of evil-doers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that worked miracles before him, with which he deceived those that had received the mark of the beast, and those that worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

⁶ And the LORD your God will circumcise your heart, and the heart of your seed, to love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, that you may live.

¹¹ The LORD will give strength to His people; the LORD will bless His people with peace.

² I will cry to God most high; to God that performs all things for me.

¹⁰ You are wearied in the greatness of your way; yet you did not say, "There is no hope": You have found the life of your hand; therefore you were not grieved.

⁶ Behold, I will bring it health and healing, and I will cure them, and will reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

⁸ Their land is also full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

¹¹ shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, do so to Jerusalem and her idols?

²² Thus said your Lord the LORD, and your God that pleads the cause of His people, "Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of My fury; you shall no more drink it again:

⁷ I will mention the lovingkindnesses of the LORD, and the praises of the LORD, according to all that the LORD has bestowed on us, and the great goodness toward the house of Israel, which He has bestowed on them according to His mercies, and according to the multitude of His lovingkindnesses.

¹⁰ And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burns him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall say to him that is by the sides of the house, "Are there still any with you?" And he shall say, "No." Then he shall say, "Hold your tongue: For we may not make mention of the name of the LORD."

³² and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

²² But now being made free from sin, and having become servants to God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end everlasting life.

⁷ For who makes you to differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you received it, why do you boast, as if you had not received it?

¹⁵ Therefore by Him let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

³ And what will all of you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which shall come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? And where will you leave your glory?

¹⁹ But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, and as the clothing of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet. ²⁰ You shall not be joined with them in burial, because you have destroyed your land, and slain your people: The seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. ²¹ Prepare slaughter for his children for the iniquity of their fathers; that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities. ²² For I will rise up against them", says the LORD of hosts, and cut off the name from Babylon, and remnant, and son, and nephew", says the LORD.

¹⁹ Your dead men shall live, together with my dead body they shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust: For your dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

¹² I, even I, am He who comforts you: Who are you, that you should be afraid of a man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made like grass; ¹³ and forget the LORD your maker, who has stretched forth heaven, and laid the foundations of the earth; and have feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? And where is the fury of the oppressor?

¹⁸ What profits the graven image that its maker has graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusts in it, to make dumb idols? ¹⁹ Woe to him that says to the wood, 'Awake'; to the dumb stone, 'Arise, it shall teach!' Behold, it is laid over with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in the midst of it. ²⁰ But the LORD is in His holy temple: Let all the earth keep silence before Him."

²⁰ saying, "Arise, and take the young Child and His mother, and go into the land of Israel: For those who sought the young Child's life are dead."

These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. ²¹ And the remnant were slain with the sword of Him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: And all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

⁶ In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes.

²³ until the LORD removed Israel out of his sight, as he had said by all his servants the prophets. So was Israel carried away out of their own land to Assyria to this day.

²⁷ And the LORD said, "I will also remove Judah out of My sight, as I have removed Israel, and will cast off this city Jerusalem which I have chosen, and the house of which I said, 'My name shall be there.' "

²³ Their children also multiplied you as the stars of heaven, and brought them into the land, concerning which you had promised to their fathers, that they should go in to possess it.

⁹ All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O LORD; and shall glorify Your name. ¹⁰ For You are great, and do wondrous things: You are God alone.

¹² and the LORD has removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.

³ You have multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: They joy before You according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

²² For though your people Israel are as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: The decreed destruction shall overflow with righteousness.

¹⁷ Your eyes shall see the king in His beauty: They shall behold the land that is very far off.

²³ Sing, O you heavens; for the LORD has done it: Shout, you lower parts of the earth: Break forth into singing, you mountains, O forest, and every tree in it: For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and glorified Himself in Israel.

² "Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations: Spare not, lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes; ³ for you shall break forth on the right hand and on the left; and your seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.

¹⁹ And out of them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of those who make merry: And I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also glorify them, and they shall not be small.

³⁷ 'Behold, I will gather them out of all countries, where I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely:

¹² A third part of you shall die with the pestilence, and they shall be consumed with famine in the midst of you: And a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

²⁴ For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: And Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

²³ And Jesus answered them, saying, "The hour has come, that the Son of Man should be glorified. ²⁴ Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless a kernel of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it abides alone: But if it dies, it brings forth much fruit. ²⁵ He who loves his life shall lose it; and he who hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal. ²⁶ If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant shall also be: If anyone serves Me, My Father will honor him. ²⁷ Now My soul is troubled; and what shall I say? 'Father, save Me from this hour'? But for this reason I came to this hour. ²⁸ Father, glorify Your name." Then there came a voice from heaven, saying, "I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again."

³¹ Therefore, when he had gone out, Jesus said, "Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. ³² If God is glorified in Him, God shall also glorify Him in Himself, and shall glorify Him without delay.

⁸ In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so shall you be My disciples.

¹ Jesus spoke these words, and lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said, "Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, that Your Son may also glorify You:

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever." ¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which is, and was, and is to come; because You have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned. ¹⁸ And the nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that You should give reward to Your servants the prophets, and to the saints, and those that fear Your name, small and great; and should destroy those which destroy the earth."

²⁹ But if from there you shall seek the LORD your God, you shall find him, if you seek him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ When you are in tribulation, and all these things are come on you, even in the latter days, if you turn to the LORD your God, and shall be obedient to his voice;

⁹ Moreover the children of Ammon passed over the Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed. ¹⁰ And the children of Israel cried out to the LORD, saying, "We have sinned against you, both because we have forsaken our God, and also served Baalim.

⁴ When I remember these things, I pour out my soul within me: For I had gone with the multitude, I went with them to the house of God, with the voice of joy and praise, with a multitude that kept the holy day.

¹⁵ And call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me."

¹ To the chief Musician, to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Asaph. I cried out to God with my voice, even to God with my voice; and He gave ear to me. ² In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord: My sore ran in the night, and did not cease: My soul refused to be comforted.

¹⁵ He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

² I poured out my complaint before Him; I declared before Him my trouble.

³ And they said to him, "Thus said Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: For the children have come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

²³ O inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how gracious shall you be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!

¹⁹ Arise, cry out in the night: In the beginning of the watches pour out your heart like water before the face of the LORD: Lift up your hands toward Him for the life of your young children, who faint for hunger at the head of every street."

¹⁴ And they have not cried out to Me with their heart, when they howled upon their beds: They assemble themselves for grain and wine, and they rebel against Me.

¹⁹ As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: Therefore be zealous, and repent.

⁶ Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

⁸ And they shall be afraid: Pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travails: They shall be amazed at one another; their faces shall be as flames.

³ Therefore my loins are filled with pain: Pangs have taken hold of me, as the pangs of a woman that travails: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.

³¹ For I have heard a voice as of a woman in travail, and the anguish as of her that brings forth her first child, the voice of the daughter of Zion, that mourns herself, that spreads her hands, saying, 'Woe is me now! For my soul is wearied because of murderers.' "

²⁴ We have heard the fame of it: Our hands wax feeble: Anguish has taken hold of us, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

⁶ Ask now, and see whether a man does travail with child? Why do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness?

²¹ When a woman is in labor she has sorrow, because her hour has come: But as soon as she has delivered the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a baby is born into the world.

³ For when they shall say, "Peace and safety"; then sudden destruction comes upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

²² And Moses returned to the LORD, and said, "Lord, for what reason have You treated this people in such an evil manner? Why is it that You have sent me? ²³ For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in Your name, he has done evil to this people; neither have You delivered Your people at all."

⁷ And Joshua said, "Alas, O LORD God, why have you at all brought this people over the Jordan, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us? Would to God we had been content, and dwelled on the other side of the Jordan! ⁸ O LORD, what shall I say, "when Israel turns their backs before their enemies! ⁹ For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land shall hear of it, and shall environ us round, and cut off our name from the earth: And what will you do to your great name?

¹³ And Saul said, "There shall not be a man put to death this day: For today the LORD has worked salvation in Israel."

⁴⁵ And the people said to Saul, "Shall Jonathan die, who has worked this great salvation in Israel? God forbid: As the LORD lives, not one hair of his head shall fall to the ground; for he has worked with God this day." Thus the people rescued Jonathan, so that he did not die.

³ And they said to him, "Thus said Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy; for the children have come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

¹⁴ From men which are Your hand, O LORD, from men of the world, which have their portion in this life, and whose belly You fill with Your hidden treasure: They are full of children, and leave the rest of their substance to their babes.

¹¹ You shall conceive chaff, you shall bring forth stubble: Your breath shall devour you as fire.

⁴ No one calls for justice, nor does anyone plead for truth: They trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity.

¹³ The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: He is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the birthing forth of children.

⁷ The world cannot hate you; but it hates Me, because I testify of it, that the works of the world are evil.

¹⁹ And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in wickedness.

⁵ and every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: For the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. ⁶ But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.

² My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain on the tender herb, and as the showers on the grass:

¹³ And of Joseph he said, "Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath,

²⁸ Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: The fountain of Jacob shall be on a land of grain and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.

¹⁹ My root was spread out by the waters, and the dew lay all night on my branch.

¹⁵ My strength is dried up like a broken clay pot fragment; and My tongue sticks to My jaws; and you have brought Me into the dust of death.

²⁰ You, which have shown me great and grievous troubles, shall vivify me again, and shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: You have the dew of Your youth.

⁸ He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and He shall take away the rebuke of His people from off all the earth: For the LORD has spoken it.

¹⁷ Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, who have drunk the cup of his fury at the hand of the LORD; you have drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out.

¹ Awake, awake; put on your strength, O Zion; put on your beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: For from now on the uncircumcised and the unclean shall no longer come into you. ² Shake yourself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: Loose yourself from the bands of your neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen on you. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: But the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

¹ The hand of the LORD was on me, and carried me out in the Spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the middle of the valley which was full of bones, ² and caused me to pass by them roundabout: And behold, there were very many in the open valley; and lo, they were very dry. ³ And He said to me, "Son of man, can these bones live?" And I answered, "O Lord GOD, you know." ⁴ Again He said to me, "Prophesy upon these bones, and say to them, 'O all you dry bones, hear the word of the LORD. ⁵ Thus says the Lord GOD to these bones; "Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live: ⁶ And I will lay sinews on you, and will bring up flesh upon you, and cover you with skin, and put breath in you, and you shall live; and you shall know that I am the LORD." ' " ⁷ So I prophesied as I was commanded: And as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone. ⁸ And when I beheld, lo, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them above: But there was no breath in them. ⁹ Then He said to me, "Prophesy to the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say to the wind, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Come from the four winds, O breath, and breathe on these slain, that they may live." ' " ¹⁰ So I prophesied as He commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up on their feet, an exceeding great army. ¹¹ Then He said to me, "Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: Behold, they say, 'Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: We are cut off for our parts. ¹² Therefore prophesy and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Behold, O My people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. ¹³ And you shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up out of your graves, ¹⁴ and shall put My spirit in you, and you shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: Then you shall know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it", said the LORD.' "

² And many of those that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

² After two days He will revive us: On the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

¹⁴ I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: Repentance shall be hid from My eyes."

⁵ I will be as the dew to Israel: He shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon.

¹² 'For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

⁵² and the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

⁵⁸ He went to Pilate, and begged the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.

²⁸ Do not marvel at this: For the hour is coming, in which all that are in the graves shall hear His voice, ²⁹ and shall come forth; those that have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those that have done evil, to the resurrection of damnation.

²⁵ Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection, and the life: He that believes in Me, though he were dead, he shall yet live: ²⁶ And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?"

¹⁵ And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and the unjust.

²⁰ But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those that are deceased.

²² For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ all shall be made alive. ²³ But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward those that are Christ's at His coming.

¹⁴ Therefore He says: "Awake, you that sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give you light."

¹⁰ That I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable to His death;

²¹ Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like His glorious body, according to the working by which He is able to even subdue all things to Himself.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those which are also deceased in Jesus. ¹⁵ For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not precede those which are deceased.

⁸ And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. ⁹ And those of the people, tribes, tongues, and nations shall see their dead bodies three and a half days, and shall not let their dead bodies to be put in graves. ¹⁰ And those that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts to one another; because these two prophets tormented those that dwelt on the earth. ¹¹ Then after three and a half days the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon those who saw them.

⁵ But the rest of the dead did not live again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. ⁶ Blessed and holy is he that has part in the first resurrection: Upon such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

¹² And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life: And the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ¹³ And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead that were in them: And they were judged, every man according to their works.

¹ And the LORD said to Noah, "Come into the ark, you and all your house; for I have seen you are righteous before me in this generation.

¹⁶ And those that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: And the LORD shut him in.

²² And you shall take a bunch of hyssop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out at the door of his house until the morning. ²³ For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he sees the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the LORD will pass over the door, and will not permit the destroyer to come in to your houses to smite you.

⁸ Keep me as the apple of the eye, hide me under the shadow of Your wings,

⁵ For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion: In the secret of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me upon a rock.

⁵ For His anger endures but a moment; in His favor is life: Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

²⁰ You shall hide them in the secret of Your presence from the pride of man: You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues.

⁷ You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall compass me around with songs of deliverance. Selah.

¹ To the chief Musician, Altaschith; Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me: For my soul trusts in You: Yes, in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, until these calamities are over.

¹ He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

⁴ He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings shall you trust: His truth shall be your shield and buckler.

⁹ Deliver me, O LORD, from my enemies: I flee to You to hide me.

¹⁰ The name of the LORD is a strong tower: The righteous runs into it, and is safe.

²⁵ For yet a very little while, and the indignation shall cease, and My anger in their destruction.

¹⁸ And My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; ¹⁹ when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

⁴ Listen to Me, My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation: For a law shall proceed from Me, and I will make My judgment rest as a light of the people.

¹⁶ And I have put My words in your mouth, and I have covered you in the shadow of My hand, that I may plant heaven, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say to Zion, You are My people.

⁷ "For a small moment have I forsaken you; but with great mercies I will gather you. ⁸ In a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you", said the LORD your Redeemer.

²³ But this thing I commanded them, saying, 'Obey My voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be My people: And walk in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well to you.

¹⁴ And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and My people shall be satisfied with My goodness", said the LORD.

¹⁶ Therefore say, 'Thus says the Lord GOD; "Although I have cast them far off among the heathen, and although I have scattered them among the countries, yet I will be to them like a little sanctuary in the countries where they shall come." '

⁶ But you, when you pray, enter into your closet, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father which is in secret: And your Father which sees in secret shall reward you openly.

³⁷ O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you that kill the prophets, and stone those which are sent to you; how often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!

¹⁷ For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;

¹⁰ And He said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground. ¹¹ And now you are cursed from the earth, which has opened her mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand;

³² And you shall take no satisfaction for him that is fled to the city of his refuge, that he should come again to dwell in the land, until the death of the priest. ³³ So you shall not pollute the land in which you are: For blood it defiles the land: And the land cannot be cleansed of the blood that is shed in it, but by the blood of him that shed it.

¹⁸ O earth, cover not you my blood, and let my cry have no place.

² Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined. ³ Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: A fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

⁴ For so the LORD said to me, "I will take My rest, and I will consider in My dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."

¹² Therefore thus says the Holy One of Israel, "Because you despise this word, and trust in oppression and perverseness, and rely on them: ¹³ Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking comes suddenly in an instant." ¹⁴ And He shall break it as the breaking of the potters' vessel which is broken in pieces; He shall not spare: So that after the bursting of it there shall not be found a shard to take fire from the hearth, or to take water out of the pit.

⁶ He said furthermore to me, "Son of man, see what they do? Even the great abominations that the house of Israel commits here, that I should go far away from My sanctuary? But turn yet again, and you shall see greater abominations."

³ And the glory of the God of Israel had gone up from the cherub, where it had been, to the threshold of the house. And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer's inkhorn by his side; ⁴ and the LORD said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark on the foreheads of the men that sigh and who cry for all the abominations that are done in the midst of it." ⁵ And to the others He said in my hearing, "Go after him through the city, and smite: Do not let your eye spare, neither have pity: ⁶ Utterly slay old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: But do not come near any man on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary." Then they began at the elderly men who were before the house.

³ Now the cherubims stood on the right side of the house, when the man went in; and the cloud filled the inner court. ⁴ Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD's glory. ⁵ And the sound of the cherubims' wings was heard even to the outer court, as the voice of the Almighty God when He speaks.

¹⁸ Then the glory of the LORD departed from off the threshold of the house, and stood over the cherubims. ¹⁹ And the cherubims lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight: When they went out, the wheels also were beside them, and every one stood at the door of the east gate of the LORD's house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over above them.

⁷ For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it on the top of a rock; she did not pour it upon the ground, to cover it with dust; ⁸ that it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood on the top of a rock, that it should not be covered."

¹⁴ For I will be to Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him. ¹⁵ I will go and return to My place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek My face: In their affliction they will seek Me early."

³ For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of His place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. ⁴ And the mountains shall be molten under Him, and the valleys shall be split apart, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place. ⁵ All this is for the transgression of Jacob, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? Is it not Samaria? And what are the high places of Judah? Are they not Jerusalem? ⁶ "Therefore I will make Samaria as a heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: And I will pour down its stones into the valley, and I will discover its foundations. ⁷ And all the graven images of it shall be beaten to pieces, and all its hires shall be burned with the fire, and all its idols I will lay desolate: For she gathered it from the hire of a harlot, and they shall return to the hire of a harlot." ⁸ Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

⁴⁰ You fools, did not He that made that which is outside make that which is inside also?

⁵⁰ That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation;

⁷ and to you who are troubled, rest with us; when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with His mighty angels, ⁸ in flaming fire taking vengeance on those that do not know God, and that do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: ⁹ Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of His power; ¹⁰ when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be admired in all those that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day.

¹⁴ And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these people, saying, "Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, ¹⁵ to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed with ungodly living, and of all their fierce speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him."

⁹ And when He had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those that were slain for the Word of God, and for the testimony which they held: ¹⁰ And they cried out with a loud voice, saying, "How long, O Lord, holy and true, will You not judge and avenge our blood on those that dwell on the earth?" ¹¹ And white robes were given to every one of them; and it was said to them that they should rest for yet a little season, until their fellow-servants and their brethren, that shall also be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy of such."

²⁴ And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth."
