¹ O Lord, You are my God; I will exalt You, I will praise Your name; for You have done wonderful things; Your counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. ² For You have made a city a heap; a defended city a ruin: A palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. ³ Therefore the strong people shall glorify You, the city of the terrible nations shall fear You. ⁴ For You have been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. ⁵ You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: The branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low. ⁶ And in this mountain the LORD of hosts shall make a feast of fat things to all people, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. ⁷ And He will destroy on this mountain the surface of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations. ⁸ He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and He shall take away the rebuke of His people from off all the earth: For the LORD has spoken it. ⁹ And it shall be said in that day, "See, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He will save us: This is the LORD; we have waited for Him, we will be glad and rejoice in His salvation." ¹⁰ For the hand of the LORD shall rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. ¹¹ And He shall spread forth His hands in the midst of them, as he who swims spreads forth his hands to swim: And He shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. ¹² And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

² The LORD is my strength and song, and He has become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him a habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him.

¹⁹ God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: Has he said, "and shall he not do it? Or has he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

¹⁰ Why David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: And David said, "Blessed be you, LORD God of Israel our father, forever and ever. ¹¹ Yours, O LORD is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: For all that is in the heaven and in the earth is yours; your is the kingdom, O LORD, and you are exalted as head above all. ¹² Both riches and honor come of you, and you reign over all; and in your hand is power and might; and in your hand it is to make great, and to give strength to all. ¹³ Now therefore, our God, we thank you, and praise your glorious name. ¹⁴ But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? For all things come of you, and of your own have we given you. ¹⁵ For we are strangers before you, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: Our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding. ¹⁶ O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build you a house for your holy name comes of your hand, and is all your own. ¹⁷ I know also, my God, that You prove the heart through testing, and have pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of my heart I have willingly offered all these things: And now I have seen with joy Your people, which are present here, to offer willingly to You. ¹⁸ O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this forever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of your people, and prepare their heart to you: ¹⁹ And give to Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep your commandments, your testimonies, and your statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision. ²⁰ And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshiped the LORD, and the king.

¹⁰ The LORD brings the counsel of the heathen to nothing: He makes the devices of the people of no effect. ¹¹ The counsel of the LORD stands forever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations.

⁵ Many, O LORD my God, are Your wonderful works which You have done, and Your thoughts which are toward us: They cannot be recounted in order to You: If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

⁴ We will not hide them from their children, showing to the generation to come the praises of the LORD, and His strength, and His wonderful works that He has done.

¹ A Psalm. O sing to the LORD a new song; for He has done marvelous things: His right hand and His holy arm, have gotten Him the victory.

⁵ Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at His footstool; for He is holy.

⁸ Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ⁹ For He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness. ¹⁰ Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; ¹¹ because they rebelled against the words of God, and despised the counsel of the Most High: ¹² Therefore He brought down their heart with labor; they fell down, and there was none to help. ¹³ Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He saved them out of their distresses. ¹⁴ He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their bands asunder. ¹⁵ Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ¹⁶ For He has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in pieces. ¹⁷ Fools are afflicted because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities. ¹⁸ Their soul abhors all manner of meat; and they draw near to the gates of death. ¹⁹ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He saves them out of their distresses. ²⁰ He sent His word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. ²¹ Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ²² And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing. ²³ Those who go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; ²⁴ these see the works of the LORD, and His wonders in the deep. ²⁵ For He commanded, and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. ²⁶ They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: Their soul is melted because of trouble. ²⁷ They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits' end. ²⁸ Then they cry to the LORD in their trouble, and He brings them out of their distresses. ²⁹ He makes the storm calm, so that its waves are still. ³⁰ Then they are glad because they are quiet; so He brings them to their desired haven. ³¹ Oh that men would praise the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! ³² Let them also exalt Him in the congregation of the people, and praise Him in the assembly of the elders. ³³ He turns rivers into a wilderness, and water-springs into dry ground; ³⁴ A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of those who dwell in it. ³⁵ He turns the wilderness into a standing pool of water, and dry ground into watersprings. ³⁶ And He makes the hungry dwell there, that they may prepare a city for habitation; ³⁷ and sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase. ³⁸ He also blesses them, so that they are multiplied greatly; and does not permit their domestic beasts to decrease. ³⁹ Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow. ⁴⁰ He pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no path. ⁴¹ Yet He sets the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock. ⁴² The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: And all iniquity shall stop her mouth. ⁴³ Whoever is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

⁴ He has made His wonderful works to be remembered: The LORD is gracious and full of compassion.

²⁸ You are my God, and I will praise You: You are my God, I will exalt You.

¹ David's Psalm of praise. I will extol You, my God, O King; and I will bless Your name forever and ever.

² While I live I will praise the LORD: I will sing praises to my God while I have any being.

¹³ O LORD our God, other lords beside You have had dominion over us: But by only You will we make mention of Your name.

²⁹ This also comes forth from the LORD of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in operation.

¹⁰ declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, 'My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure':

¹⁰ I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.

¹⁷ 'Ah Lord GOD! Behold, You have made the heaven and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm, and there is nothing too hard for you: ¹⁸ You show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them: The Great, the Mighty God, the LORD of hosts, is His name, ¹⁹ great in counsel, and mighty in work: For Your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men: To give every one according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: ²⁰ Who has set signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, and in Israel, and among other men; and have made Yourself a name, as it is this day; ²¹ and have brought forth Your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an out stretched arm, and with great terror; ²² and have given them this land, which You swore to their fathers to give them, "a land flowing with milk and honey"; ²³ and they came in, and possessed it; but they did not obey Your voice, neither walked in Your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: Therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them: ²⁴ Behold the mounts, they have come to the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the sword, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: And what you have spoken has come to pass; and behold, You see it.

¹⁷ Thus says the Lord GOD; "Are you he of whom I have spoken in old times by My servants the prophets of Israel, which prophesied in those days that many years from then I would bring you back against them? ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog shall come against the land of Israel", said the Lord GOD, "that My fury shall come up in My face. ¹⁹ For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken, 'Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in the land of Israel; ²⁰ so that the fish of the sea, and the fowls of the heaven, and the wild beasts of the field, and all creeping things that creep upon the earth, and all the men that are upon the face of the earth, shall shake at My presence, and the mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.' ²¹ And I will call for a sword against him throughout all My mountains", says the Lord GOD: "Every man's sword shall be against his brother. ²² And I will plead against him with pestilence and with blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon the many people that are with him, an overflowing rain, and great hailstones, fire, and brimstone. ²³ Thus I will magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

² I thought it would be good to show the signs and wonders that the high God has worked in regard to me. ³ How great are His signs! And how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation."

²⁵ For I do not intend, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. ²⁶ And so all Israel shall be saved: As it is written, "There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob: ²⁷ For this is My covenant to them, when I shall take away their sins." ²⁸ Concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: But concerning the chosen, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes. ²⁹ For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

¹¹ In Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things after the counsel of His own will:

¹⁷ In which God, more abundantly willing to show the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath: ¹⁸ That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

⁹ And they sang a new song, saying, "You are worthy to take the book, and to open its seals: For You were slain, and have redeemed us to God by Your blood out of every tribe, and tongue, and people, and nation; ¹⁰ and have made us kings and priests to our God: And we shall reign on the earth." ¹¹ Then I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels all around the throne, and the beasts, and the elders: And the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands; ¹² saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing." ¹³ And I heard every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, saying, "Blessing, and honor, and glory, and power, be to Him that sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb forever and ever." ¹⁴ And the four beasts said, "Amen." And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped Him that lives forever and ever.

¹² saying, "Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, be to our God forever and ever. Amen."

³ And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and marvelous are Your works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are Your ways, You King of saints.

¹¹ And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war.

¹⁶ And you shall gather all the spoil of it into the middle of its street, and shall burn with fire the city, and all its spoil every whit, for the LORD your God: And it shall be a heap forever; it shall not be built again.

²² And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: And her time has come near, and her days shall not be prolonged.

²³ I will also make it a possession for the bittern, and pools of water: And I will sweep it with the broom of destruction", says the LORD of hosts.

¹ The burden of Damascus. "Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap.

³ The fortress shall also cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: They shall be as the glory of the children of Israel", said the LORD of hosts.

⁹ And behold, here comes a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods He has broken to the ground."

¹³ Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, until the Assyrian founded it for those that dwell in the wilderness: They set up its towers, they raised up its palaces; and he brought it to ruin.

¹² And the fortress of the high fort of your walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust.

²⁶ And they shall not take from you a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but you shall be desolate forever", said the LORD.

¹² All your strongholds shall be like fig trees with the first ripe figs: If they are shaken, they shall even fall into the mouth of the eater. ¹³ Behold, your people in the midst of you are women: The gates of your land shall be set wide open to your enemies: The fire shall devour your bars. ¹⁴ Draw yourself waters for the siege, fortify your strongholds: Go into clay, and tread the mortar, make strong the brick kiln. ¹⁵ There the fire shall devour you; the sword shall cut you off, it shall eat you up like the cankerworm: Make yourself many as the cankerworm, make yourself many as the locusts.

² And he cried out mightily with a strong voice, saying, "Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become the habitation of devils, and the prison-hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. ³ For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are made rich through the abundance of her delicacies."

¹⁹ And they cast dust on their heads, and cried out, weeping and wailing, saying, 'Alas, alas, that great city, in which all who had ships on the sea were made rich because of her costliness! For in one hour she is made desolate.

¹⁰ Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. ¹¹ The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

³ Say to God, "How frightening You are in Your works! Through the greatness of Your power Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.

⁸ He shall also have dominion from sea to sea, and from the river to the ends of the earth. ⁹ Those that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before Him; and His enemies shall lick the dust. ¹⁰ The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: The kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts. ¹¹ Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him: All nations shall serve Him.

¹¹ And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

²³ And kings shall be your nursing fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: They shall bow down to you with their face toward the earth, and lick up the dust of your feet; and you shall know that I am the LORD: For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me." ²⁴ Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered? ²⁵ But thus says the LORD, "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children. ²⁶ And I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: And all flesh shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob."

¹⁰ "And the sons of strangers shall build up your walls, and their kings shall minister to you: For in My wrath I smote you, but in My favor I have had mercy on you. ¹¹ Therefore your gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring to you the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought. ¹² For the nation and kingdom that will not serve you shall perish; yes, those nations shall be utterly ruined. ¹³ The glory of Lebanon shall come to you, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box tree together, to beautify the place of My sanctuary; and I will make the place of My feet glorious. ¹⁴ Also the sons of those who afflicted you shall come bending to you; and all those who despised you shall bow themselves down at the soles of your feet; and they shall call you; The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁸ "For I know their works and their thoughts: It shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see My glory. ¹⁹ And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those who escape of them to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard My fame, neither have seen My glory; and they shall declare My glory among the Gentiles. ²⁰ And they shall bring all your brothers out of all nations on horses for an offering to the LORD, and in chariots, and in litters, and on mules, and on swift beasts, to My holy mountain Jerusalem", said the LORD, "as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

²³ Thus I will magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself; and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know that I am the LORD." ' "

²¹ And I will set My glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see My judgment that I have executed, and My hand that I have laid upon them. ²² So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.

⁹ And the LORD shall be King over all the earth: In that day there shall be one LORD, and His name one.

¹⁶ And it shall come to pass, that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles.

¹³ And the same hour there was a strong earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell, and in the earthquake seven thousand men were slain: And the remnant were frightened, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

¹⁵ Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of His Christ; and He shall reign forever and ever." ¹⁶ And the twenty-four elders, which sat before God on their seats, fell upon their faces, and worshiped God, ¹⁷ saying, "We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, which is, and was, and is to come; because You have taken to Yourself Your great power, and have reigned.

¹⁵ But he saves the poor from the sword, from their mouth, and from the hand of the mighty. ¹⁶ So the poor has hope, and iniquity stops her mouth.

⁵ "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, I will now arise", says the LORD; "I will set him in safety from he that puffs at him."puffs at him; or, would ensnare him

¹⁰ All my bones shall say, "LORD, who is like You, which delivers the poor from him that is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him that plunders him?

⁴ He shall judge the poor of the people, He shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.

¹³ He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.

⁴¹ Yet He sets the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.

³¹ I have stuck to Your testimonies: O LORD, do not put me to shame.

⁵ And the LORD will create on every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and on her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: For upon all the glory shall be a defense. ⁶ And there shall be a tabernacle for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and from rain.

⁴ But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: And he shall smite the earth: With the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips he shall slay the wicked.

³² What then shall one answer the messengers of the nation? That the LORD has founded Zion, and the poor of His people shall take refuge in it.

¹⁰ Because you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not been mindful of the rock of your strength, therefore you shall plant pleasant plants, and shall set it with strange vine branches:

⁵ Or let him take hold of My strength, that he may make peace with Me; and he shall make peace with Me."

⁵ Moreover the multitude of your strangers shall be like small dust, and the multitude of the terrible ones shall be as chaff that passes away: Yes, it shall be in an instant, suddenly.

¹⁹ The meek shall also increase their joy in the LORD, and the poor among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

² And a man shall be like a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the tempest; as rivers of water in a dry place, as the shadow of a great rock in a weary land.

¹⁸ And My people shall dwell in a peaceable habitation, and in sure dwellings, and in quiet resting places; ¹⁹ when it shall hail, coming down on the forest; and the city shall be low in a low place.

² O LORD, be gracious to us; we have waited for You: Be their arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

¹⁶ he shall dwell on high: His place of defense shall be the fortress of rocks: Bread shall be given him; his waters shall be sure.

³ And they said to him, "Thus said Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: For the children have come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. ⁴ It may be the LORD your God will hear the words of Rabshakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master has sent to reproach the living God, and will reprove the words which the LORD your God has heard: Therefore lift up your prayer for the remnant that is left.' "

³⁶ Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a hundred and eighty and five thousand: And when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

²⁵ But thus says the LORD, "Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: For I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children.

² For all those things My hand has made, and all those things have been in existence", said the LORD: "but to this man I will look, even to him who is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembles at My word.

¹¹ Say to those who daub it with untempered mortar, that it shall fall: There shall be an overflowing shower; and you, O great hailstones, shall fall; and a stormy wind shall rend it. ¹² See, when the wall has fallen, shall it not be said to you, 'Where is the daubing with which you have daubed it?' " ¹³ Therefore thus says the Lord GOD; "I will even rend it with a stormy wind in My fury; and there shall be an overflowing shower in My anger, and great hailstones in My fury to consume it.

¹² I will also leave an afflicted and poor people in the midst of you, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.

²⁵ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it did not fall: For it was founded upon a rock. ²⁶ And everyone that hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: ²⁷ And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: And great was the fall of it."

⁵ Hearken, my beloved brethren, has not God chosen the poor of this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which He has promised to those that love Him?

¹⁶ He is green before the sun, and his branch shoots forth in his garden. ¹⁷ His roots are wrapped about the heap, and sees the place of stones. ¹⁸ If he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, "I have not seen you. ¹⁹ Behold, this is the joy of his way, and out of the earth shall others grow.

³ Lift up Your feet to the perpetual desolations; even all that the enemy has wickedly done in the sanctuary. ⁴ Your enemies roar in the midst of Your congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. ⁵ A man was famous accordingly as he lifted up axes upon the thick trees. ⁶ But now they break down the carved work of it at once with axes and hammers. ⁷ They have cast fire into Your sanctuary, they have defiled by casting down the dwelling place of Your name to the ground. ⁸ They said in their hearts, "Let us destroy them together": They have burned up all the synagogues of God in the land. ⁹ We do not see our signs: There is no longer any prophet: Neither is there among us anyone who knows how long. ¹⁰ O God, how long shall the adversary reproach? Shall the enemy blaspheme Your name forever? ¹¹ Why do You withdraw Your hand, even Your right hand? Pluck it out of Your bosom. ¹² For God is my King of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth. ¹³ You did divide the sea by Your strength: You break the heads of the dragons in the waters. ¹⁴ You break the heads of leviathan in pieces, and gave him to be meat to the people inhabiting the wilderness. ¹⁵ You divided the fountain and the flood: You dried up mighty rivers. ¹⁶ The day is Yours, the night also is Yours: You have prepared the light and the sun. ¹⁷ You have set all the borders of the earth: You have made summer and winter. ¹⁸ Remember this, that the enemy has reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed Your name. ¹⁹ O deliver not the soul of Your turtledove to the multitude of the wicked: Do not forget the congregation of Your poor forever. ²⁰ Have respect to the covenant: For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty. ²¹ O let not the oppressed return ashamed: Let the poor and needy praise Your name. ²² Arise, O God, plead Your own cause: Remember how the foolish man reproaches You daily. ²³ Forget not the voice of Your enemies: The tumult of those that rise up against You increases continually.

¹⁰ Why should the heathen say, "Where is their God? Let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of your servants which is shed. ¹¹ Let the sighing of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of your power, preserve those who are appointed to die; ¹² and render to our neighbors their reproach sevenfold into their bosom, with which they have reproached you, O Lord.

³⁹ He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.

⁸ For he said, "Are not my princes altogether kings?" ⁹ Is not Calno as Carchemish? Is not Hamath as Arpad? Is not Samaria as Damascus? ¹⁰ As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, and whose graven images did excel them of Jerusalem and of Samaria; ¹¹ shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, do so to Jerusalem and her idols? ¹² Therefore it shall come to pass, that when the Lord has performed His whole work upon Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria, and the glory of his high looks. ¹³ For he said, "By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I am prudent: And I have removed the bounds of the people, and have robbed their treasures, and I have put down the inhabitants like a valiant man: ¹⁴ And my hand has found as a nest the riches of the people: And as one gathers eggs that are left, have I gathered all the earth; and there was none that moved the wing, or opened the mouth, or peeped." ¹⁵ Shall the ax boast itself against him who chops with it? Or shall the saw magnify itself against him that shakes it? As if the rod should shake itself against those that lift it up, or as if the staff should lift itself up, as if it were not wood.

³² As yet he shall remain at Nob that day: He shall shake his hand against the mount of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem. ³³ Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: And the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled. ³⁴ And He shall cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon shall fall by a Mighty One.

¹⁰ They shall all speak and say to you, "Have you also become weak as us? Have you become like us?" ¹¹ Your pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of your viols: The worm is spread under you, and the worms cover you. ¹² How you have fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! ¹³ For you have said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will also sit on the mount of the congregation, in uttermost sides of the north: ¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High." ¹⁵ Yet you shall be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. ¹⁶ Those that see you shall narrowly look on you, and consider you, saying, "Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that shook kingdoms;

¹⁹ But you are cast out of your grave like an abominable branch, and as the clothing of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcass trodden under feet.

¹² Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! ¹³ The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: But God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. ¹⁴ And behold at time of evening trouble; and before the morning he is no more. This is the portion of those who spoil us, and the lot of those that rob us.

⁴ For so the LORD said to me, "I will take My rest, and I will consider in My dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs, and like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest."

³⁰ And the LORD shall cause His glorious voice to be heard, and shall show the lighting down of His arm, with the indignation of His anger, and with the flame of a devouring fire, with scattering, and tempest, and hailstones. ³¹ For through the voice of the LORD the Assyrian shall be beaten down, who smote with a rod. ³² And in every place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon him, it shall be with timbrels and harps: And He will fight with it in battles of shaking. ³³ For Tophet is ordained of old; yes, it is prepared for the king; He has made it deep and large: Its pile is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of brimstone, kindles it.Tophet; or, Hell

¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: For He that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them.

¹⁵ Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by Me: Whoever shall gather together against you shall fall for your sake. ¹⁶ Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire, and that brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the waster to destroy. ¹⁷ No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me", said the LORD.

¹ Oh that You would rend heaven, that You would come down, that the mountains might flow down at Your presence, ² as when the melting fire burns, the fire causes the waters to boil, to make Your name known to Your adversaries, that the nations may tremble at Your presence!

¹¹ "Because you were glad, because you rejoiced, O you destroyers of My heritage, because you have grown fat like a heifer in the grass, and bellow like bulls; ¹² your mother shall be greatly confounded; she who bore you shall be ashamed: Behold, the last of the nations shall be a wilderness, a dry land, and a desert. ¹³ Because of the wrath of the LORD it shall not be inhabited, but it shall be wholly desolate: Everyone who goes by Babylon shall be astonished, and hiss at all her plagues. ¹⁴ Put yourselves in array against Babylon on every side: All you who bend the bow, shoot at her, spare no arrows: For she has sinned against the LORD. ¹⁵ Shout against her from every side: She has given her hand: Her foundations have fallen, her walls are thrown down: For it is the vengeance of the LORD: Take vengeance on her; as she has done, do to her.

³⁸ They shall roar together like lions: They shall yell as lions' whelps. ³⁹ In their heat I will make their feasts, and I will make them drunken, that they may rejoice, and sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake", said the LORD. ⁴⁰ "I will bring them down like lambs to the slaughter, like rams with he-goats. ⁴¹ How is Sheshach taken! And how is the praise of the whole earth surprised! How has Babylon become an astonishment among the nations! ⁴² The sea has come up upon Babylon: She is covered with the multitude of its waves. ⁴³ Her cities are a desolation, a dry land, and a wilderness, a land in which no man dwells, neither does any son of man pass by it.

⁵³ Though Babylon should mount up to heaven, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from Me shall spoilers come to her", said the LORD. ⁵⁴ A sound of a cry comes from Babylon, and great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans: ⁵⁵ Because the LORD has spoiled Babylon, and destroyed the great voice out of her; when her waves roar like great waters, the noise of their voice is uttered: ⁵⁶ Because the spoiler has come upon her, even on Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, every one of their bows is broken: For the LORD God of recompenses shall surely repay. ⁵⁷ And I will make her princes drunk, and her wise men, her captains, and her rulers, and her mighty men: And they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake", said the King, whose name is the LORD of hosts.

¹⁸ "Son of man, wail for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, to the lower parts of the earth, with those who go down into the pit. ¹⁹ 'Whom do you pass in beauty? Go down, and be laid with the uncircumcised.' ²⁰ They shall fall in the midst of those who are slain by the sword: She is delivered to the sword: Draw her and all her multitudes. ²¹ The strong among the mighty shall speak to him out of the midst of hell with those who help him: 'they have gone down, they lie uncircumcised, slain by the sword.' ²² Asshur is there and all her company: His graves are about him: All of them slain, fallen by the sword: ²³ Whose graves are set in the sides of the pit, and her company is all around her grave: All of them slain, fallen by the sword, which caused terror in the land of the living. ²⁴ There is Elam and all her multitude around her grave, all of them slain, fallen by the sword, which have gone down uncircumcised into the lower parts of the earth, which caused their terror in the land of the living; yet they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit. ²⁵ They have set her a bed in the midst of the slain with all her multitude: Her graves are all around him: All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword: Though their terror was caused in the land of the living, yet they have borne their shame with those who go down to the pit: He is put in the midst of those who are slain. ²⁶ There is Meshech, Tubal, and all her multitude: Her graves are all around him: All of them uncircumcised, slain by the sword, though they caused their terror in the land of the living. ²⁷ And they shall not lie with the mighty that are fallen of the uncircumcised, who have gone down to hell with their weapons of war: And they have laid their swords under their heads, but their iniquities shall be on their bones, though they were the terror of the mighty in the land of the living. ²⁸ Yes, you shall be broken in the midst of the uncircumcised, and shall lie with those who are slain with the sword. ²⁹ There is Edom, her kings, and all her princes, which with their might are laid by those who were slain by the sword: They shall lie with the uncircumcised, and with those who go down to the pit. ³⁰ There are the princes of the north, all of them, and all the Zidonians, who have gone down with the slain; with their terror they are ashamed of their might; and they lie uncircumcised with those who are slain by the sword, and bear their shame with those who go down to the pit. ³¹ Pharaoh shall see them, and shall be comforted over all his multitude, even Pharaoh and all his army slain by the sword", said the Lord GOD. ³² "For I have caused My terror in the land of the living: And he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with those who are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude", said the Lord GOD.

⁹ You shall ascend and come like a storm, you shall be like a cloud to cover the land, you, and all your bands, and many people with you." ¹⁰ Thus says the Lord GOD; "It shall also come to pass, that at the same time things shall come into your mind, and you shall think an evil thought:

⁹ And those that dwell in the cities of Israel shall go forth, and shall set on fire and burn the weapons, both the shields and the bucklers, the bows and the arrows, and the javelins, and the spears, and they shall burn them with fire seven years: ¹⁰ So that they shall take no wood out of the field, neither cut down any trees out of the forests; for they shall burn the weapons with fire: And they shall spoil those that spoiled them, and rob those that robbed them", says the Lord GOD.

²³ Thus he said, 'The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. ²⁴ And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: And another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. ²⁵ And he shall speak great words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the Most High, and think to change times and laws; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. ²⁶ But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it to the end. ²⁷ And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the Most High, Whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

³⁶ And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper until the indignation is accomplished: For that which is determined shall be done. ³⁷ He shall not regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: For he shall magnify himself above all. ³⁸ But in his estate he shall honor the god of forces: And a god whom his fathers did not know shall he honor with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. ³⁹ Thus he shall perform in the greatest strongholds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: And he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain. ⁴⁰ And at the time of the end the king of the south shall push at him: And the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over. ⁴¹ He shall also enter into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: But these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon. ⁴² He shall also stretch forth his hand upon the countries: And the land of Egypt shall not escape. ⁴³ But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: And the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps. ⁴⁴ But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: Therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and to utterly slay. ⁴⁵ And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him."

⁵ So Jonah went out of the city, and sat on the east side of the city, and made himself a booth there, and sat under it in the shadow, until he might see what would become of the city. ⁶ And the LORD God prepared a gourd, and made it to come up over Jonah, that it might be a shadow over his head, to deliver him from his grief. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the gourd.

¹ And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, "Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth." ² Then the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and a noxious and grievous sore fell upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon those who worshiped his image. ³ And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: And every living soul in the sea died. ⁴ And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. ⁵ And I heard the angel of the waters say, "You are righteous, O Lord, which is, and was, and shall be, because You have judged thus. ⁶ For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink; for they are worthy of such." ⁷ And I heard another out of the altar say, "Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments." ⁸ And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. ⁹ And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which has power over these plagues: And they did not repent to give Him glory. ¹⁰ And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues out of pain, ¹¹ and blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds. ¹² And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water of it was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. ¹³ And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. ¹⁴ For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth to the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. ¹⁵ "Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame." ¹⁶ And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. ¹⁷ And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and a great voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, "It is done." ¹⁸ And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a large earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great. ¹⁹ And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: And great Babylon came up in remembrance before God, to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

⁸ and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: The number of whom is as the sand of the sea. ⁹ And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed all around the camp of the saints, and the beloved city: And fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

⁵ My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise You with joyful lips:

¹⁴ He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: And their blood shall be precious in his sight. ¹⁵ And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: Prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised. ¹⁶ There shall be a handful of grain in the earth upon the top of the mountains; its fruit shall shake like Lebanon: And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.

⁶⁸ But chose the tribe of Judah, the Mount Zion which He loved.

¹ Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars: ² She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine; she has also furnished her table. ³ She has sent forth her maidens: She cries upon the highest places of the city, ⁴ "Whoever is simple, let him turn in here": As for him that wants understanding, she says to him, ⁵ "Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled.

² Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: For your love is better than wine.

⁴ Draw me, we will run after you: The king has brought me into his chambers: We will be glad and rejoice in you, we will remember your love more than wine: The upright love you.

³ As the apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under his shadow with great delight, and his fruit was sweet to my taste. ⁴ He brought me to the banqueting house, and his banner over me was love. ⁵ Sustain me with raisin cakes, comfort me with apples: For I am sick with love.

¹ I have come into my garden, my sister, my spouse: I have gathered my myrrh with my spice; I have eaten my honeycomb with my honey; I have drunk my wine with my milk: Eat, O friends; drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved.

¹⁹ If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land:

² And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the LORD's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. ³ And many people shall go and say, "Come all of you, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

¹⁰ For the hand of the LORD shall rest on this mountain, and Moab shall be trodden down under Him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill.

⁶ And He said, 'It is a light thing that You should be My servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: I will also give You for a light to the Gentiles, that You may be My salvation to the end of the earth.' " ⁷ Thus says the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and His Holy One, to Him whom man despises, to Him whom the nation abhors, to a Servant of rulers, "Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD who is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and He shall choose You." ⁸ Thus says the LORD, "In an acceptable time I have heard You, and in a day of salvation I have helped You: And I will preserve You, and give You for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages; ⁹ that You may say to the prisoners, 'Go forth'; to those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' "They shall feed in the ways, and their pastures shall be in all high places. ¹⁰ They shall not hunger nor thirst; neither shall the heat nor sun smite them: For He that has mercy on them shall lead them, even by the springs of water shall He guide them.

¹ "Ho, everyone who thirsts, all of you come to the waters, and he who has no money; come all of you, buy, and eat; yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. ² Why do you spend money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which does not satisfy? Listen to Me diligently, and eat that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

¹² Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: And their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all. ¹³ Then the virgin shall rejoice in the dance, both young men and old together: For I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow.

¹¹ Moab has been at ease from his youth, and he has settled on his lees, and has not been emptied from vessel to vessel, neither has he gone into captivity: Therefore his taste remained in him, and his scent is not changed.

¹⁴ And there was dominion, and glory, and a kingdom given to Him, that all people, nations, and languages should serve Him: His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and His kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

¹ But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be exalted above the hills; and people shall flow to it. ² And many nations shall come, and say, "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths": For the law shall go forth from Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

³ Thus says the LORD; 'I have returned to Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: And Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.'

¹⁶ And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of His people: For they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon His land. ¹⁷ For how great is His goodness, and how great is His beauty! Grain kernels shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the virgins.

¹¹ And I say to you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven.

¹ And Jesus answered and spoke to them again by parables, and said, ² "The kingdom of heaven is likened to a certain king who made a marriage for his son, ³ and sent forth his servants to call those who were invited to the wedding: And they would not come. ⁴ Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: Come to the marriage." ' ⁵ But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: ⁶ And the rest took his servants, treated them spitefully, and slew them. ⁷ But when the king heard about it, he was wroth: And he sent forth his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city. ⁸ Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy. ⁹ Therefore go into the highways, and as many as you shall find, invite to the marriage.' ¹⁰ So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they all found, both bad and good: And the wedding was furnished with guests.

²⁹ But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from this time forward, until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father's kingdom."

¹⁵ And He said to them, "Go into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

³⁹ Also, no one having drunk old wine immediately desires new: For he says, 'The old is better.' "

¹⁶ Then He said to him, "A certain man made a large supper, and invited many: ¹⁷ And sent his servant at supper time to say to those who were invited, 'Come; for all things are now ready.' ¹⁸ But they all in one accord began to make excuses. The first said to him, 'I have bought a piece of ground, and I really need to go and see it: I beseech you to have me excused.' ¹⁹ And another said, 'I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to examine them: I beseech you to have me excused.' ²⁰ Yet another said, 'I have married a wife, and therefore I cannot come.' ²¹ So that servant came, and brought word of these things to his lord. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, 'Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city, and bring into this place the poor, and the maimed, and the lame, and the blind.' ²² And the servant said, 'Lord, it is done as you have commanded, and yet there is room.' ²³ Then the lord said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

³⁰ that all of you may eat and drink at My table in My kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel."all of you: In KJV, ye; hence "all of you" signifies a plural "you"

²² But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

⁹ And he said to me, "Write, 'Blessed are those which are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb.' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

¹ Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the LORD has risen on you. ² For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: But the LORD shall arise upon you, and His glory shall be seen on you. ³ And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.

⁵¹ Then, behold, the veil of the temple was torn in two from the top to the bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks fissured open;

³² a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel."

³⁰ Indeed, the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commands all men everywhere to repent:

¹³ And not as Moses, who put a veil over his face, that the children of Israel could not steadfastly look to the conclusion of that which is abolished: ¹⁴ But their minds were blinded: For till this day remains the same veil not taken away in the reading of the Old Testament; which veil is done away in Christ. ¹⁵ But even to this day, when Moses is read, the veil is upon their heart. ¹⁶ Nevertheless, when their heart shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. ¹⁷ Now the Lord is that Spirit: And where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. ¹⁸ But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

⁵ which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it is now revealed to His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; ⁶ that the Gentiles should be fellow-heirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel:

¹⁸ having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:

⁸ For you were sometimes darkness, but now you are light in the Lord: Walk as children of light:

⁸ The Holy Spirit signifying this, that the way into the Holiest of all was not yet made manifest, while the first tabernacle was still standing:

²⁴ For Christ has not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:

¹⁹ Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, ²⁰ by a new and living way, which He has consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh; ²¹ and having a High Priest over the house of God;

⁹ For the zeal of Your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of those that reproached You have fallen upon me.

⁵⁰ Remember, Lord, the reproach of Your servants; how I bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people; ⁵¹ with which Your enemies have reproached, O LORD; with which they have reproached the footsteps of Your anointed.

¹⁹ For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: You shall weep no more: He will be very gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer you.

²⁶ Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that the LORD binds up the breach of His people, and heals the stroke of their wound.

¹⁰ And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: They shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

³ And they said to him, "Thus said Hezekiah, 'This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: For the children have come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

¹¹ Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: They shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

⁴ Fear not; for you shall not be ashamed: Neither will you be confounded; for you shall not be put to shame: For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and shall not remember the reproach of your widowhood any more.

¹⁵ Whereas you have been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through you, I will make you an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.

⁷ For your shame you shall have double honor; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: Therefore in their land they shall possess the double: Everlasting joy shall be to them.

¹⁹ And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in My people: And the voice of weeping shall no longer be heard in her, nor the voice of crying.

⁵ Hear the word of the LORD, you who tremble at His word; Your brothers who hated you, that cast you out for My name's sake, said, 'Let the LORD be glorified': But He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

¹⁴ I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be your plagues; O grave, I will be your destruction: Repentance shall be hid from My eyes."

¹⁷ "And they shall be Mine", says the LORD of hosts, "in that day when I make up My jewels; and I will spare them, as a man spares his own son that serves him." ¹⁸ Then you all shall return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serves God and him that does not serve Him.

¹¹ Blessed are you when men revile you, persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely, for My sake. ¹² Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad: For great is your reward in heaven: For in like manner they persecuted the prophets which were before you.

²⁶ The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.

⁵⁴ So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory."

¹⁰ but is now made manifest by the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who has abolished death, and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

¹⁴ Since then, as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also took part of the same; that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; ¹⁵ and deliver those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

¹⁴ If you are reproached for the name of Christ, you are happier; for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: On their part He is spoken evil of, but on your part He is glorified.

¹⁷ For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them to living fountains of waters: And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes."

¹⁴ Then death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: For the former things are passed away."

¹⁸ I have waited for Your salvation, O LORD.

¹⁴ That I may show forth all Your praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in Your salvation.

⁵ We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: The LORD fulfill all your petitions.

¹⁴ Wait on the LORD: Be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart: Wait, I say, "on the LORD.

⁵ Commit your way to the LORD; trust also in Him; and He shall bring it to pass. ⁶ And He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and Your judgment as the noonday. ⁷ Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for Him: Do not fret yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

¹⁷ And I will wait upon the LORD, who hides His face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for Him.

¹ And in that day you shall say, "O LORD, I will praise You: Though You were angry with me, Your anger is turned away, and You comforted me. ² Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: For the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; He also has become my salvation. ³ Therefore with joy you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation. ⁴ And in that day you shall say, "Praise the LORD, call on His name, declare His doings among the people, make mention that His name is exalted. ⁵ Sing to the LORD; for He has done excellent things: This is known in all the earth. ⁶ Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

⁸ Yes, in the way of Your judgments, O LORD, we have waited for You; the desire of our soul is to Your name, and to the remembrance of You. ⁹ With my soul I have desired You in the night; yes, with my spirit within me I will seek You early: For when Your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

¹⁸ And therefore the LORD will wait, that He may be gracious to you, and therefore He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you: For the LORD is a God of judgment: Blessed are all those that wait for Him. ¹⁹ For the people shall dwell in Zion at Jerusalem: You shall weep no more: He will be very gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when He shall hear it, He will answer you.

²² For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our Lawgiver, the LORD is our King; He will save us.

² It shall blossom abundantly, and rejoice even with joy and singing: The glory of Lebanon shall be given to it, the excellency of Carmel and Sharon, they shall see the glory of the LORD, and the excellency of our God.

⁴ Say to those that are of a fearful heart, "Be strong, fear not: Behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; He will come and save you."

⁹ O Zion, that brings good tidings, get up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that brings good tidings, lift up your voice with strength; lift it up, do not be afraid; say to the cities of Judah, "Behold your God!"

¹⁶ You shall also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shall suck the breast of kings: And you shall know that I the LORD am your Savior and your Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.

¹⁰ "Rejoice all of you with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all you who love her: Rejoice for joy with her, all you who mourn for her: ¹¹ That you may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that you may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory." ¹² For thus says the LORD, "Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: Then you shall suck, you shall be borne on her sides, and be dandled on her knees. ¹³ As one whom his mother comforts, so will I comfort you; and you shall be comforted in Jerusalem." ¹⁴ And when you see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like a herb: And the hand of the LORD shall be known toward His servants, and His indignation toward His enemies.

⁷ Therefore I will look to the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: My God will hear me.

¹⁴ Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem. ¹⁵ The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy: The King of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of you: You shall not see evil any more. ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, "Fear not": And to Zion, "Let not your hands be slack. ¹⁷ The LORD your God is mighty in the midst of you; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing." ¹⁸ "I will gather those that are sorrowful on account of the solemn assembly, who are among you, to whom the reproach of it was a burden. ¹⁹ Behold, at that time I will undo all those that afflict you: And I will save her that limps, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. ²⁰ At that time I will bring you back again, even in the time that I gather you: For I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes", says the LORD.

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: Behold, your King comes to you: He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt, the foal of a donkey.

²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and this same man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel: And the Holy Spirit was upon him.

²⁸ then he took Him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ "Lord, now let Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word: ³⁰ For my eyes have seen Your salvation,

² By whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations: Knowing that tribulation works patience;

²³ And not only they, but we ourselves also, who have the first-fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, that is, the redemption of our body. ²⁴ For we are saved by hope: But hope that is seen is not hope: For why does a man still hope for what he sees? ²⁵ But if we hope for what we do not see, then we wait for it with patience.

¹ Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write even the same things to you is not grievous to me, but for you it is safe.

³ For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

¹³ looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ;

⁶ In which you greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, you are in heaviness through diverse temptations:

⁸ Whom having not seen, you love; in whom, though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with unspeakable joy and full of glory:

¹² looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, in which the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?

⁷ Behold, He comes with clouds; and every eye shall see Him, and also those which pierced Him: And all tribes of the earth shall wail because of Him. Even so, Amen.

¹ And after these things I heard a great voice of many people in heaven, saying, "Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, to the Lord our God: ² For His judgments are true and righteous: For He has judged the great whore, which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of His servants at her hand." ³ And again they said, "Alleluia. And her smoke rose up forever and ever." ⁴ And the twenty-four elders and the four beasts fell down and worshiped God that sat on the throne, saying, "Amen; Alleluia." ⁵ Then a voice came out of the throne, saying, "Praise our God, all you His servants, and you that fear Him, both small and great." ⁶ And I heard as it were the voice of a large multitude, as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, "Alleluia: For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns. ⁷ Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to Him: For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready."

²⁰ He which testifies these things says, "Surely I come quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

¹⁷ I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not near: There shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Scepter shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.

¹⁰ Who perished at Endor: They became as dung for the earth.

¹³ For the LORD has chosen Zion; He has desired it for His habitation. ¹⁴ "This is My rest forever: Here I will dwell; for I have desired it.

²⁵ Therefore the anger of the LORD is kindled against His people, and He has stretched forth His hand against them, and has smitten them: And the hills did tremble, and their carcasses were torn in the middle of the streets. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is outstretched still.

⁶ I will send him against a hypocritical nation, and I will give him a charge against the people of my wrath, to take the spoil, and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire in the streets.

³¹ Madmenah is removed; the inhabitants of Gebim gather themselves to flee.

¹⁰ And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse, which shall stand for an ensign of the people; the Gentiles shall seek it: And His dwelling shall be glorious.

¹⁴ But they shall fly on the shoulders of the Philistines toward the west; they shall spoil those of the east together: They shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab; and the children of Ammon shall obey them.

⁶ Cry out and shout, you inhabitant of Zion: For great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of you.

¹ The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; ² he has gone up to Bajith, and to Dibon, the high places, to weep: Moab shall howl over Nebo, and over Medeba: On all their heads shall be baldness, and every beard cut off. ³ In their streets they shall gird themselves with sackcloth: On the tops of their houses, and in their streets, everyone shall howl, weeping abundantly. ⁴ And Heshbon shall cry, and Elealeh: Their voice shall be heard even to Jahaz: Therefore the armed soldiers of Moab shall cry out; his life shall be grievous to him. ⁵ My heart shall cry out for Moab; his fugitives shall flee to Zoar, a heifer of three years old: For by the mounting up of Luhith with weeping they shall go up it; for in the way of Horonaim they shall raise up a cry of destruction. ⁶ For the waters of Nimrim shall be desolate: For the hay is withered away, the grass fails, there is no green thing. ⁷ Therefore the abundance they have gotten, and that which they have laid up, they shall carry away to the brook of the willows. ⁸ For the cry is gone all around the borders of Moab; its howling to Eglaim, and the howling of it to Beerelim. ⁹ For the waters of Dimon shall be full of blood: For I will bring more on Dimon, lions upon him who escapes from Moab, and upon the remnant of the land.

⁶ And in this mountain the LORD of hosts shall make a feast of fat things to all people, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.

⁶ The foot shall tread it down, even the feet of the poor, and the steps of the needy."

¹⁵ Behold, I will make you a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: You shall thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shall make the hills as chaff. ¹⁶ You shall fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: And you shall rejoice in the LORD, and shall glory in the Holy One of Israel.

² There shall be no more praise of Moab: In Heshbon they have devised evil against it; 'Come, and let us cut it off from being a nation.' Also you shall be cut down, O Madmen; the sword shall pursue you.

¹⁵ The LORD has trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: He has called an assembly against me to crush my young men: The LORD has trodden the virgin, the daughter of Judah, as in a winepress.

³⁵ It was eighteen thousand measures all around: And the name of the city from that day forward shall be, The LORD is there."The LORD is there; or in the Hebrew, Jehovahshammah

¹ Thus says the LORD; "For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away its punishment; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: ² But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: And Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet: ³ And I will cut off the judge from its midst, and will slay all their princes with him", says the LORD.

¹³ "Arise and thresh, O daughter of Zion: For I will make your horn iron, and I will make your hoofs brass: And you shall beat in pieces many people: And I will consecrate their gain to the LORD, and their substance to the Lord of the whole earth."

⁹ Therefore as I live," says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, "surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and salt pits, and a perpetual desolation: The residue of My people shall spoil them, and the remnant of My people shall possess them."

¹⁵ The LORD has taken away your judgments, He has cast out your enemy: The King of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of you: You shall not see evil any more. ¹⁶ In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, "Fear not": And to Zion, "Let not your hands be slack. ¹⁷ The LORD your God is mighty in the midst of you; He will save, He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest in His love, He will joy over you with singing."

⁹ Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: Behold, your King comes to you: He is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon a donkey, and upon a colt, the foal of a donkey. ¹⁰ And I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim, and the horse from Jerusalem, and the battle bow shall be cut off: And He shall speak peace to the heathen: And His dominion shall be from sea even to sea, and from the river even to the ends of the earth. ¹¹ As for you also, by the blood of your covenant I have sent forth your prisoners out of the pit in which there is no water.

⁵ Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, and vex them in His sore displeasure.

⁸ Ask of Me, and I shall give You the heathen for Your inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for Your possession. ⁹ You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.' " ¹⁰ Be wise now therefore, O you kings: Be instructed, you judges of the earth. ¹¹ Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. ¹² Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and all you perish from pursuing the way, when His wrath is kindled only a little. Blessed are all those that put their trust in Him.

¹ A Psalm of David. The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool." ² The LORD shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion to: "Rule in the midst of Your enemies." ³ Your people shall be willing in the day of Your power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: You have the dew of Your youth. ⁴ The LORD has sworn, and will not repent, "You are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek." ⁵ The LORD at Your right hand shall strike through kings in the day of His wrath. ⁶ He shall judge among the heathen, He shall fill the places with the dead bodies; He shall wound the heads over many countries. ⁷ He shall drink of the brook in the pathway: Therefore He shall lift up the head.

¹¹ The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the LORD alone shall be exalted in that day.

³³ Behold, the Lord, the LORD of hosts, shall lop the bough with terror: And the high ones of stature shall be hewn down, and the haughty shall be humbled.

²⁶ This is the purpose that is purposed on the whole earth: And this is the hand that is outstretched on all the nations.

⁶ We have heard of the pride of Moab; he is very proud: Even of his haughtiness, and his pride, and his wrath: But his lies shall not be so.

¹⁴ But now the LORD has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as the years of a hireling, and the glory of Moab shall be despised, with all that great multitude; and the remnant shall be very small and feeble."

⁵ You shall bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; even the heat with the shadow of a cloud: The branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low.

¹² Therefore I will divide to Him a portion with the great, and He shall divide the spoil with the strong; because He has poured out His soul to death: And He was numbered with the transgressors; and He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

² I have spread out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts;

²⁹ We have heard the pride of Moab, (he is exceeding proud) his loftiness, and his arrogance, and his pride, and the haughtiness of his heart.

⁴² And Moab shall be destroyed from being a people, because he has magnified himself against the LORD.

³¹ "Behold, I am against you, O you most proud", said the Lord GOD of hosts: "for your day has come, the time that I will visit you. ³² And the most proud shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up: And I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all around him."

⁴⁴ And I will punish Bel in Babylon, and I will bring forth out of his mouth that which he has swallowed up: And the nations shall not flow together to him any more: Yes, the wall of Babylon shall fall.

³⁷ Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and His ways judgment: And those who walk in pride He is able to abase.

¹⁵ and having spoiled principalities and powers, He made an exhibit of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

⁶ But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."

⁶ Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double to her two-fold more according to her works: With the cup which she has filled, pour out to her double. ⁷ To the degree she has glorified herself, and lived deliciously, give her that much torment and sorrow: For she says in her heart, 'I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow.' ⁸ Therefore her plagues shall come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: For strong is the Lord God Who judges her.

¹⁸ that you may eat the flesh of kings, the flesh of captains, the flesh of mighty men, the flesh of horses, and of those that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great." ¹⁹ And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against Him that sat on the horse, and against His army. ²⁰ And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that worked miracles before him, with which he deceived those that had received the mark of the beast, and those that worshiped his image. These two were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

¹⁹ And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah. ²⁰ It shall never be inhabited, from generation to generation neither shall it be dwelled in: Neither shall the Arabian pitch his tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there. ²¹ But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of sorrowful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there. ²² And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: And her time has come near, and her days shall not be prolonged.

¹ The burden of Moab. Because in the night Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence; because in the night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to silence;

⁵ For He brings down those who dwell on high; the lofty city, He lays it low; He lays it low, even to the ground; He brings it even to the dust.

⁵⁸ Thus says the LORD of hosts; "The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly broken, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the people shall labor in vain, and the folk in the fire, and they shall be weary."
