⁶ Therefore I made a decree to bring in all the wise men of Babylon before me, that they might make known to me the interpretation of the dream.

⁷ And the seven thin ears devoured the seven rank and full ears. And Pharaoh awoke, and behold, it was a dream. ⁸ And it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled; and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt, and all the wise men of it: And Pharaoh told them his dream; but there was none that could interpret them to Pharaoh.

¹⁹ And when they shall say to you, "Seek those that have familiar spirits, and to wizards who peep, and who mutter": Should not a people seek their God? For the living instead of the dead?

¹² Stand now with your enchantments, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth; if so perhaps you shall be able to profit, if so perhaps you may prevail. ¹³ You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels. Let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from these things that shall come on you. ¹⁴ Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: There shall not be a coal to warm by, nor fire to sit before.

² Then the king commanded to call to the magicians, and the astrologers, and the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans, to show the king his dreams. So they came and stood before the king.
