¹ Now, regarding the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brethren,

³¹ And he shall send out his angels with a great call of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

³² And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats:

²⁷ And then he shall send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the remotest part of the earth to the remotest part of heaven.

¹ Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service of worship.

¹⁰ That in the fulness of time he might gather all things together under Christ, both things which are in heaven, and things which are on earth. In him

¹⁹ For what is our hope, our joy, our crown of rejoicing in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? Is it not even you?

¹³ So that he may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before God our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with him those who sleep in Jesus. ¹⁵ For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not precede those who are asleep. ¹⁶ For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: ¹⁷ Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
