¹ Therefore, since we have this ministry by God's mercy, we do not loose heart;

²⁵ Now concerning virgins I have no commandment from the Lord: yet I give my judgment, as one who has obtained mercy from the Lord to be trustworthy.

⁶ Who has also made us able ministers of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter kills, but the spirit gives life.

¹² Seeing then that we have such a hope, we use great boldness of speech:

¹⁶ For this reason we do not loose heart; but though our outer man perish, yet the inner man is renewed day by day.

¹⁸ And all these things are from God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

⁹ And let us not be weary in well-doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we do not loose heart.

⁷ Of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given to me by the working of his power. ⁸ To me, though I am the very least of all the saints, was this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

¹³ Therefore I ask that you not be discouraged at my tribulations for you, which are your glory.

¹³ I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

¹³ But you, brethren, do not be weary in doing good.

¹³ Though I was formerly a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and a violent man: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

³ For consider him who endured such hostility from sinners against himself, lest you grow weary and fainthearted.

¹⁰ In times past you were not a people, but now you are the people of God: once you had not obtained mercy, but now you have obtained mercy.

³ And how you have persevered, and have endured for my name's sake, and have not grown weary.
