¹⁵ I do not understand what I am doing. For what I want to do I do not do. What I hate, I do.

⁴⁶ »They may sin against you, for everyone sins. You may become angry with them and hand them over to an enemy far or near who takes them to another country as captives.

⁶ Jehovah knows (is fully aware of) the way of the righteous. But the way of the wicked will perish.

¹² Who can notice (discern) (understand) every mistake? Forgive my hidden faults.

⁴ He plans wickedness upon his bed. He walks on a path that is not good. He does not despise evil.

³ Iniquities prevail against me. You forgive our transgressions.

¹⁰ You who love Jehovah hate evil! He preserves his anointed ones. He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.

³ I will set no wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of unfaithful people. I want no part of it.

¹ Blessed are those whose way is blameless. They walk in the law of Jehovah. ² Blessed are those who obey his written word. They seek him with all their heart. ³ They also do no unrighteousness. They walk in his ways. ⁴ You have ordained your precepts that we should keep them diligently. ⁵ Oh that my ways may be established to keep your statutes! ⁶ I will not be ashamed when I look upon all your commandments.

³² I shall run the way of your commandments, for you will enlarge my heart (increase my understanding) (set me free from sin).

⁴⁰ Behold, I long for your precepts! Revive me through your righteousness.

¹²⁸ That is why I esteem right all your precepts and I hate every false way.

¹⁶³ I hate and despise falsehood and I love your law.

¹⁰⁴ I get understanding from your precepts. Therefore I hate every false way.

¹¹³ I hate those who are double-minded, but I love your law.

¹³ »Respect for Jehovah means to hate evil. I hate: pride, and arrogance, the evil way, and the perverse mouth.

⁵ A righteous man hates lying. A wicked man is loathsome and shameful.

²⁰ There is no man on earth who is righteous and does not sin.

¹⁵ »Hate evil, and love good! Establish justice in the gate. It may be that Jehovah, the God of Hosts, will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.«

⁷ Jehovah is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble! He knows (protects) (takes care of) those who take refuge in him.

⁴⁸ »Therefore you are witnesses and consent to the works of your fathers. They killed them and you build their tombs.

¹⁶ But if what I do not want to do, I do, I consent to the law that it is right.

¹⁹ I do not do the good I want to do. Instead, I do the evil that I do not want to do. ²⁰ If I do what I do not want to do, this means that I am no longer the one who does it. Instead, it is the sin that lives in me.

⁹ Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor evil and cling to good.

²² Do you have faith? Have it for yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in that thing that he allows.

¹⁷ For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh. These are in opposition to one another that you may not do the things that you would.

¹² Not that I have already obtained, or am already made perfect. But I press on, that I may obtain that for which Christ Jesus also obtained. ¹³ Brothers, I could not yet have obtained it. But one thing I do, I forget the things that are behind, and stretch forward to the things that are ahead. ¹⁴ I press on toward the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

¹⁹ The foundation of God stands firm having this seal: »Jehovah knows those who belong to him,« and: »Everyone who names the name of Jehovah is to abstain from wickedness.«

⁹ »You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity. Therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness more than your companions.«

⁷ If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin. ⁸ If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

² We all stumble in many things. If any do not stumble in word, he is a perfect man, able to restrain (control) the whole body.

²³ Save some, snatch them out of the fire. Have mercy on some with alarm. Hate even the garment defiled (polluted) by the flesh.
