³⁶ "Let all the house of Israel therefore know certainly that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."

¹ Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain? ² The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his Anointed: ³ "Letʼs tear off their shackles, and throw off their ropes from us." ⁴ The one who sits in the heavens laughs. The LORD scoffs at them. ⁵ Then he will speak to them in his anger, and terrify them in his wrath: ⁶ "But I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain." ⁷ I will tell of the decree. The LORD said to me, "You are my son. Today I have become your father. ⁸ Ask of me, and I will give the nations as your inheritance, and the farthest parts of the earth for your possession.

⁴ Hear the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel.

²⁶ Egypt, and Judah, and Edom, and the people of Ammon, and Moab, and all that have the corners of their hair cut off, who dwell in the wilderness; for all the nations are uncircumcised, and all the house of Israel are uncircumcised in heart."

³¹ Look, the days come," says the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

¹⁴ 'Look, the days come,' says the LORD, 'that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

³⁰ They shall know that I, the LORD, their God am with them, and that they, the house of Israel, are my people," says the Lord GOD.

²⁵ "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: 'Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. ²⁶ They shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses by which they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; ²⁷ when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. ²⁸ They shall know that I am the LORD their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there; ²⁹ neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my Spirit on the house of Israel,' says the Lord GOD."

¹ "In that day there will be a spring opened to the house of David and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, for sin and for uncleanness.

¹⁸ Jesus came to them and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to me in heaven and on earth. ¹⁹ Therefore go, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, ²⁰ teaching them to obey all things that I commanded you. And look, I am with you every day, even to the end of the age."

¹¹ For there is born to you, this day, in the city of David, a Savior, who is Christ, the Lord.

³⁵ The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. ³⁶ Whoever believes in the Son has everlasting life, but whoever refuses to believe in the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

²² For the Father judges no one, but he has given all judgment to the Son, ²³ that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him. ²⁴ "Truly, truly, I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has everlasting life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life. ²⁵ Truly, truly, I tell you, the hour comes, and now is, when the dead will hear the Son of God's voice; and those who hear will live. ²⁶ For as the Father has life in himself, even so he gave to the Son also to have life in himself. ²⁷ He also gave him authority to execute judgment, because he is the Son of Man. ²⁸ Do not be amazed at this, for the hour comes, in which all that are in the tombs will hear his voice, ²⁹ and will come out; those who have done good, to the resurrection of life; and those who have done evil, to the resurrection of judgment.

²² "Men of Israel, hear these words. Jesus the Nazorean, a man approved by God to you by mighty works and wonders and signs which God did by him in the midst of you, even as you yourselves know, ²³ him, being delivered up by the determined counsel and foreknowledge of God, by the hand of lawless men, crucified and killed;

¹¹ This one is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner. ¹² And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among people by which we must be saved."

³⁰ The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a tree. ³¹ God exalted him with his right hand to be a Leader and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

³⁶ The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace through Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all— ³⁷ that spoken word you yourselves know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; ³⁸ even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. ³⁹ We are witnesses of everything he did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they also killed by hanging on a tree. ⁴⁰ God raised him up the third day, and gave him to be revealed, ⁴¹ not to all the people, but to witnesses who were chosen before by God, to us, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. ⁴² He commanded us to proclaim to the people and to testify that this is he who is appointed by God as the Judge of the living and the dead.

³ For I could wish that I myself were accursed from Christ for my brothers' sake, my physical relatives according to the flesh, ⁴ who are Israelites; whose is the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service, and the promises; ⁵ of whom are the patriarchs, and from whom is the Christ, as concerning the flesh, who is over all, God, blessed forever. Amen. ⁶ But it is not as though the word of God has come to nothing. For they are not all Israel, that are of Israel.

⁸ For if we live, we live to the Lord. Or if we die, we die to the Lord. If therefore we live or die, we are the Lord's. ⁹ For to this end Christ died, and lived again, that he might be Lord of both the dead and the living. ¹⁰ But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God. ¹¹ For it is written, "'As I live,' says the Lord, 'to me every knee will bow. Every tongue will confess to God.'" ¹² So then each one of us will give account of himself to God.

¹⁰ For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that each one may receive the things in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.

⁷ and to give relief to you who are afflicted with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire, ⁸ giving vengeance to those who do not know God, and to those who do not obey the Good News of our Lord Jesus, ⁹ who will pay the penalty: everlasting destruction from the face of the Lord and from the glory of his might, ¹⁰ when he comes to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at among all those who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.
