⁵ Speres and snares are in the way of the froward, bot he that wyll kepe his soule, let hym fle from such.

¹³ be sure that the Lorde youre God wyll not caste out al the nacyons from before you. But they shalbe snares and trappes vnto you, and scourges for youre sydes, & prickes in youre eyes, vntyll ye peryshe from of thys good lande whiche the Lorde your God hath geuen you.

⁸ For his fete shalbe taken in the nett, and he shall walke in the snare.

⁶ Vpon the vngodly he shall rayne snares, fyre, brymstone, storme and tempest: thys rewarde shall they haue to drynke.

²⁶ With the cleane thou shalt be cleane, and with the frowarde thou shalte be frowarde. ²⁷ For thou shalte saue the poore oppressed, and brynge doune the hye lokes of the proude.

¹ Who so dwelleth vnder the defence of the most hyest, & abydeth vnder the shadowe of the almightye.

³ He that kepeth his mouth, kepeth his lyfe: but who so speaketh vnaduised findeth harme.

¹⁵ Good vnderstanding geueth fauour, but hard is the way of the despisers.

¹⁹ The way of the slouthful is ful of thornes, but the strete of the rightuous is wel cleansed.

¹⁷ The path of the rightuous eschueth euel, & who so loketh wel to his waies, kepeth hys owne soule.

¹⁶ Who so kepeth the commaundement, kepeth hys owne soule: but he that regardeth not hys way, shal dye.

¹⁸ We knowe that whosoeuer is borne of God, synneth not, but he that is begotten of God kepeth him selfe, and that wycked toucheth him not.

²⁰ But ye dearely beloued, edifye your selues in your moste holy faythe, praying in the holye ghost, ²¹ and kepe your selues in the loue of God, lokynge for the mercye of oure Lorde Iesus Christe, vnto eternall lyfe.
