²⁰ But Samsons wyfe was geuen to one of his companyons that bare him companye.

² But sayde: I thought that thou haddest hated her, & therfore gaue I her vnto one of thy companions. Howe be it, her younger syster is fayrer then she. Take her in steade of the other.

⁶ Then the Philistines asked, who had done that? And it was tolde them, that Samson the sonne in lawe of the Thamnite, because he had taken hys wyfe, and geuen her to one of his companions. And the Philistines came and burnte her and her father wyth fyre.

¹² If it were myne enemye that reuyled me, I could beare it: or if one that ought me euel wyll dyd threaten me, I wolde hyde my self from hym. ¹³ But it is thou my companyon, my gyde & myne owne familier frende.

⁵ Yea one dyssembleth with another, & they deale wyth no trueth. They haue practysed theyr tunges to lye, and taken greate paynes to do myschefe.

⁵ Let no man beleue hys frende, nor put his confidence in a prynce. Kepe the porte of thy mouthe, from her that lyeth in thy bosome:

⁴⁹ And forthe wt al he came to Iesus, and sayed: hayle mayster and kyssed hym. ⁵⁰ And Iesus sayde vnto hym: frende, wherfore arte thou come? Then came they, and layed handes on Iesus, & toke him.

²⁹ He that hath the bryde is the brydegrome. But the frend of the brydegrom, whiche standeth by and heareth him reioyseth greatlye of the brydegromes voyce. Thys my ioye is fulfilled.

¹⁸ I speake not of you all. I knowe whome I haue chosen. But that the scripture myght be fulfylled, he that eateth bread with me hath lyft vp hys hele agaynst me.
