Leviticus 18:24-28

24 Defyle not youre selues in any of these thynges, for wyth all these thynges are these nacions defyled whych I cast out before you 25 and the land is defyled, and I wyll vyset the wykednesse therof vpon it, and the land shal spewe out her inhabiters. 26 Kepe ye therfore myne ordinaunces and iudgementes, and se that ye commyt none of these abhominacions: nether any of you nor any straunger that soiourneth amonge you 27 (for all these abhomynacions haue the men of the land done whyche were there before you, and the lande is defiled) 28 lest that the land spewe you out when ye haue defyled it, as it spewed out the nacions that were there before you.

Joshua 22:17-18

17 Is the wicked deade of Peor to lyttell for vs, wherof we are not cleansed vnto this daye, & there was a plage in the congregacion of the Lorde: 18 But that ye also shoulde turne awaye this daye from folowing the Lorde: ye shall rebelle to daye agaynste the Lorde, and to morow he shall be wroth wyth all the congregacyon.
